Bouchard Restaurant & Inn

Location was ideal right on Thames. The only problem with that is the noise from the street.

The noise was the biggest issue, there was a wall mounted air conditioner that wasn't sealed up very well, and it was a windy night when we stayed. The wind noise went on the entire evening, along with the noise from O'Neill's pub next door.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was helpful and welcoming, our suite was great and the walk-to location can¿t be beat as we didn¿t take a car with us. And the warm pastries brought to our door every morning can¿t be beat!

Comfortable bed, nice big bathroom, excellent amenities! Complementary water, coffee, tea, oj & milk with lovely pastries and fruit yogurt every morning! Didn't interact with staff except for check in, but they were extremely pleasant. Great location!

Not enough outlets- the lamp by my dining table couldn't be plugged in due to lack of outlets, same with bedside tables. Maybe recommend an alarm clock with a USB port? Also, wanted to take a bath, but the tub wouldn't fill.

The hotel was clean and you could tell that a lot of care was put into the rooms. The hotel staff was lovely, and delivered our breakfast pastries early when we let them know we had to depart early the next am. So accommodating!! Would definitely return.

The hotel was in the heart of town, close to all restaurants and shops.

Super cute hotel that lived like a bed and breakfast. Great location. The attached French restaurant lived up to its reputation. Would come back again in a second if had a reason to visit Newport again. Loved the morning bag of food hung on the door.

for the price of the room per night and the stars this hotel has, I was surprised by the condition of the room. the rug was ripped and frayed, the bathtub/shower felt unclean, and the staff could have been more polite.

The staff was amazingly friendly and willing to help. The room was huge, clean, and welcoming. Free breakfast was provided every morning, without waking us up.

The location was convenient yet quiet for sleeping at night. The staff was attentive and helpful. The room was in a separate small building rather than the main building next to the parking lot so less curb appeal.

Even though they supplied a special made yogurt and fruit pastry in the morning, there is no place to eat it. The room only has a tiny nook. I suggest that the hotel use one of its dining rooms for guests to eat in breakfast or the outdoor dining area.

Hotel Employee who checked us in was lovely and gave us great info on what to see in Newport as well as a map.

Be prepared that the pub next door doesn't close till 1am. Their patio was full of happy young adults! The air conditioning unit was able to muffle most of the noise but we aware that this noise might affect your stay.

The Inn attendant that greeted us upon arrival was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit. I also loved the warm pastries and creamy yogurt that we received promptly at 8 am every morning.We loved that the inn was in a very central location.

I liked everything about this inn.

Bouchard Restaurant is one of the top 100 restaurants in the US. French cuisine at its best.

They have a fabulous restaurant attached to it but you must make a reservation in advance.
