It was exactly what we were looking for. The property was beautiful, clean and close to everything. It is only 15 minutes by car to Florence. It’s about 20 to get to the heart of the downtown. I would definitely rent a car if you are staying here. We rented our car next to the train station and it was easy to roll our luggage from the terminal and we were on our way in 30 minutes. The rooms are decorated beautifully keeping the history while providing luxurious comforts. Our bed was comfortable and big. The bathroom is large and had plenty of room for us. It was perfect. Upon arrival we were greeted with a history lesson of the property and the town of Fiesole. We were given a tour of the property and the significance of the road it is on. The owners are extremely welcoming and helped us with where to park when visiting the sites of Florence as well as the surrounding areas. They provide a delicious breakfast every morning with only food from the Agriturismo and the surrounding areas. They make their own olive oil and it was the best we tasted in Europe. My wife and I took a cooking class and it was the highlight of our trip. Silvia is amazing and made the class unforgettable. We made potato raviolis, fettuccine with zucchini. We highly recommend staying here.

Villa de Campolungo is an experience you should not miss. The house has been beautifully restored, the rooms are huge, the view is stunning and the owner couldn’t be more welcoming. Everything served for breakfast is local or homemade. Enjoy a cappuccino, it’s excellent, sitting on the shady patio overlooking the Tuscany hills. The Villa is a short drive into Florence/Firenze and follow Silvia’s advice to explore Fiesole. We found a great restaurant in Fiesole on top of a hill with beautiful views of the city. You can even see the Duomo under the stars.
