Lovely character building. Excellent staff

We immediately said that we weren¿t happy with the room but couldn¿t upgrade because Saturday was fully booked. The room was a mish mash of brown furniture and the bathroom was in need of upgrading. Yellow stained shower curtain and a tiny shower head

Gemma was outstanding in her customer service. She took us to our room and explained everything. We couldn't eat there as they were fully booked being Valentine's night but she went out of her way to tell us about alternative places to eat.

The breakfast I had on both days was EXCELLENT and the staff were very cheerful and helpful.

The shower in my room was very disappointing. I do understand that it is an old property but the overhead shower pressure was too low to actually have any water coming out so I used the hand held shower. This was enough to have a basic shower but nothing very satisfying.

the bedroom was clean but dismal with inadequate lighting, dark décor and miscellaneous furnishing. It also had a crash bar emergency exit! The bed was an unnecessary metal 'four poster' but the mattress was very comfortable!!

Excellent breakfast. Glad to have a toast rack. Warm room. Good location for walking Nar Valley Way and Wensum Way.

Location to meet with family, quaint old worldy room, very comfortable bed, but it was an old four poster bed and it did move about 1ft or so when moving/ getting out of bed, which was a bit dangerous for me as im disabled and have had falls.Breakfast was included, which was beautiful .

Decor a little dated, no instuctions for the hot drink maker/ no bin near drink facility so had to use batroom bin. Would be helpful to provide these as their minor things.

The hotel was a good location for me. The staff were very welcoming and the food was lovely. I had a good night’s sleep. It was also nice to have fresh milk in the room for tea and coffee. Breakfast was also included in the price.

There was no soap in the bathroom, but I’m sure I would have been given some if I’d asked.

Local to family we were visiting. Friendly and helpful staff and lovely breakfast included.

Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain away. No shower gel in the wall mounted dispenser. But overall happy with our stay.

Spacious rooms with character, great breakfast, friendly hosts, nice bar with generous range of beers, near all shops, easy patking. Very pleasant stay.

Beautifully decorated and clean. Friendly and helpful staff even at the end of a busy Christmas period. Which enhanced our family festivities. Welcoming

By virtue of this being a very old building there is nothing that can be done but visitors with bad hips should be aware that the stairs to the accommodation are steep!

car park a bit rough first impression bit worrying...reception could have been a bit tidier and some soap in bathroom would have been good.

Large room with bath. Clean and staff were friendly. Breakfast made to order.

Rooms are quite dated. Noise travels between rooms quite easily. Bit expensive for what you get.

Cleanliness could have been better, bed side light switches didn’t work. Which meant getting out of bed to switch off at plug. Wardrobe door was falling off & the door handle to the room was falling off!Everything was very old & grubby in the entire place, & needed renewing. Except bed linen which was perfect!

Breakfast fine and included in price. The staff during the day were lovely. Nice bed and bedding. Decent size room. Parking was straightforward.

The member of staff who checked me in wasn't very friendly. There were no toiletries at all except a bar of soap. The taps and the shower were falling apart and the lighting was very dingy. The decor of the whole place was very tired and drab.
