A very enjoyable short 4-night stay in beautiful north Devon countryside.
Breakfasts had a comprehensive choice and were of good quality. The hotel was situated in beautiful surroundings at the head of the Heddon Valley. An ideal base for exploring this scenic county.
The approach to the hotel was tricky with narrow roads and steep hills, but worth it when you saw the view.

Hugely recommended and we would stay again at the drop of a hat.
The hotel is in a haven of woodland and not too far from the sea (easily walked along a beautiful path). The owners went to great lengths to make our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and it seemed they couldn't do enough for us. Having 3 young children in our party, we hugely appreciated this. We also had a very sound night's sleep. Great hotel, gorgeous location and very lovely stay. Hugely recommended and we would stay again at the drop of a hat.

Exceptional
Beautiful, peaceful location with amazing walks on your doorstep. Friendly, welcoming, helpful hosts.large, comfortable, tastefully odernised room. Excellent breakfast. Very hard to fault. We will definitely stay there again.
