Talisman Hotel & Restaurant

A very warm & friendly welcome. The room was very well set out & had all the amenities we needed. The bathroom & shower were great. The service in the restaurant was excellent m there is plenty of off street parking.

Rooms are on the the main road so can be a bit noisy with traffic through the night.

It had character, staff very friendly, restaurant very pleasant with food variety

Gosh, we liked everything! Even the sound of the traffic was just fine with us. The staff were utterly courteous and helpful and the bistro a perfect oasis for weary travelers not wanting to step foot I another car. Perfect!

A really lovely hotel in the centre of town with lots of thoughtful, and unexpected, touches such as make-up remover pads and a preloaded Netflix account. The bed was very comfortable and the room had great blackout blinds so I slept well. I appreciated being able to open the balcony door to let in fresh air. The bathroom was a good size and had a great shower. The hotel is on the main road but I wasn't disturbed by any traffic noise. I didn't have time to eat in the restaurant but the menu looked great and it was very busy so I would definitely try to do this next time.

The restaurant was very good and great staff.

We were not informed at check in that we had to request for housekeeping to refresh shampoo and empty the too small trash bins.

The noise from the flushing toilet of another room and the traffic going past.

I was ok not like the other times we been there

There was a cockroate in thsr bathroom an 1 on the door i did tell the guy tht cleans it an also there was feals in rm 3 so u need to tk a good look at tht an thts why I didn't enjoy my stay this tkme

The bathroom was excellent; spacious and modern. The shower flow was the right pressure and quick to warm up,The Reisling wine in the bar was very good.The coffee in the dining room at breakfast was very good.Female staff were helpful and cheery.

The accommodation hallway is quite dark even when the lights come on.The key lock is awkward to unlock.The towels and bath mat seem not to absorb water; nylony.In the shower there is nowhere to put flannel or body wash or shampoo etc.The vent in the bathroom is not strong enough to defog the mirror.The set plate breakfast is unusual. The bacon sausage and hash brown were seemingly cooked much earlier and were warm not hot. Toast was not toasted fully and the bread was poor quality. The chef could easily just produce fresh basic meals such an eggs on toast.The male staff are less cheerful than the female staff.

Check-in was seamless and the staff friendly and efficient. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Good central location with excellent facilities. I have stayed here before and will do so again.

Room was better than expected but still a bit noisy from trucks going all night. Great restaurant.

The staff is friendly and the room was clean. Restaurants have good food and just 2-3 min walk you get to a shop for a bakery and about the 10-15min to Woolworths.

The restaurant on location is amazing.

The road traffic noise...... for me the room is right next to the main road. You can hear it all from the room.

The beds were a little bit hard, I had a hip replacement and it ended up being sore the next morning, the beds need a foam rubber mattress on top just a suggestion

Room was adequate, comfortable bed, good bathroom.

My room (2) was a couple of meters from the highway, and there was a constant noise from lorries passing outside. So when booking, make sure that you book a room towards the back.

Really friendly staff. The young lad that was off to uni (was his last day) was so obliging and helpful
