Nothing. The room was outdated and moldy. The was a syringe in my room. Not enough towels. No breakfast. And someone kept messing with my door. I have pictures of the syringe.
Nothing.I called and asked about a partial refund. Your site has false advertising, they don’t even answer their phone most the time so when I called before booking I couldn’t get questions answered anyways. Booked for a family emergency trusting your site

Hotel employee, who has been at this hotel for at least 2 years is always friendly and welcoming. We let them know we were having to leave very early (4:00 am.) and he had us a breakfast bag made up. It was there when we checked out. Awesome place to stay!

Top Tips
- For major events like the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo in February or Angelo State University graduations, hotel rates frequently rise by 15-40% and rooms near Foster Communications Coliseum or campus can sell out 4-8 weeks before the date. Book at least 4-8 weeks early to secure preferred locations. Using hotel loyalty programs may provide priority room access and potential early check-in during peak event periods.
- Expect Texas state lodging tax and city occupancy tax to add 13-15% to your nightly room rate in San Angelo. For example, a $120/night room will incur about $16-18 in taxes, totaling $136–$138 per night. Ask about additional charges for parking, pets, or resort amenities at booking to confirm your total cost.
- San Angelo Regional Mathis Field (SJT) is 9 mi (14 km) from downtown; hotel shuttles are limited. Rideshare supply is inconsistent - plan a rental car or check exact shuttle times with your hotel after 18:00. Confirm shuttle ADA accessibility in advance if you use mobility devices.
- Most San Angelo hotels offer free self-parking. Less than half of major hotels provide onsite EV charging - use PlugShare or ChargePoint apps to locate the nearest public stations. Ask front desk staff about overnight security patrols for vehicle peace of mind, especially for oversized or specialty vehicles.
- Hotels within 1 mi of the Concho River Walk, downtown, or Fort Concho reduce daily drive times by 8-20 minutes compared to outer neighborhoods. Select a property based on mapped proximity to your key venues. Request accessible rooms near elevators if you need to minimize walking distance.
- Texas law requires a government-issued photo ID at check-in. Most hotels require the same credit card used for booking to be presented in person, with a minimum guest age of 21. International guests must bring a valid passport as accepted ID; ask your hotel if a photocopy is allowed for digital bookings or group reservations.
- Many hotels accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests for a $15 to $25 fee depending on demand. Notify your property during booking to improve your chances - complimentary extensions may be available if occupancy is below 80%. If you use accessibility services or have medical needs, request tailored check-in support in advance.
- For remote work, ask about Wi-Fi speed (10 Mbps+ recommended for video meetings) and request a quiet room away from ice machines or elevators. Larger chains offer business centers and ergonomic desk chairs; confirm workspace height or accessible power outlets at the desk if needed.
- Over 60% of midscale San Angelo hotels include complimentary hot breakfast with options like scrambled eggs, sausage, and oatmeal. Families can request adjoining rooms or suites with a microwave and refrigerator. If you have food allergies, call ahead to discuss accommodations, and check if any local chains offer 'kids eat free' deals.
- San Angelo has a low crime rate, but use hotel safes for valuables and park in well-lit lots. Avoid walking alone outside core areas after 22:00 or through downtown alleys. Ask the front desk for a hotel map showing 24-hour entry points and the nearest staffed desk.
- Use standard U.S. tipping: $1-2 per bag for bell staff, $2-5 daily for housekeeping, and 15-20% at table-service restaurants. ATMs are available in downtown and by the mall for cash tips. Gratuities are optional, but appreciated for exceptional help; leave housekeeper tips daily in your room.
- Hotel front desks can recommend local restaurants - within two blocks of downtown hotels, find Tex-Mex (Franco’s Café), BBQ (Smokehouse Restaurant), and steakhouses. Ask for directions to the nearest Concho River Walk entrance, and inquire about annual food festivals or farmers’ market schedules for unique dining experiences.
- Most San Angelo hotel pools are unstaffed, seasonal outdoor pools open April-October. Confirm pool hours and if lifeguards are present. Request cribs or rollaway beds in advance, as supplies are limited. Check if the pool has an accessible lift or zero-entry for children or travelers with mobility needs.
- Meeting rooms and AV equipment are in high demand during rodeo or convention season (January-March, October); reserve at least 6 weeks ahead. Clarify any dietary restrictions for catering. If accessibility is a priority, ask about step-free conference access or available hearing loop systems.
- San Angelo summers often exceed 100°F (38°C) with low humidity. Bring SPF 30+ sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and linen or moisture-wicking clothing. Nights can cool to 60°F (15°C), so pack a light jacket. Many hotels provide lobby hydration stations or complimentary ice for water refills.
- Reconfirm hotel bookings and airport shuttle times by phone or app before arriving. Local shuttles may run reduced schedules after 20:00; get confirmed pick-up details from your hotel for late arrivals. Enable SMS or app notifications for real-time updates about transport or check-in.
