Sundance Resort Onjuku

Great view from our 3rd floor room. Beach access with outdoor showers was a plus. They also have an outdoor BBQ area with grills and tables. We didn't use it, but saw it being used by a family that seemed to be enjoying it.

i was not aware of room service (the hotel information folder was not in an obvious location).

+location : near to the station and 7-11. accessible by walk+clear room, comfortable futones, conditioner (yes building is old but staff is doing their best to balance it)+ they have in-build rope in the bathroom to hang&dry your clothes (our swimsuits were dry in the morning)+fantastic view + kettle, refrigerator, kettle for cold drinks:) teabags&coffee, spoons, plates - all you need in there.+ washing machines, vending machines in the building

one minor thing - bath is made like a small onsen and it looks not very nice, But there is a great shower with hot water! no issues with this

The ocean view was very nice, as advertised. The room was spacious and comfortable with a private bathroom. The room was very clean. The beds were very comfy. The location is perfect, right on the beachfront. There is free parking available. The breakfast was good. Highly recommend!

The entrance and exit to the hotel is stairs, so I wanted a ramp.

Location, just 10 steps away from the beach.

Bath was not clean. The bathtub was covered in mold. The sewage smelled really bad.

We got a Japanese style family room with beach view. You can easily assess the public beach in front of the hotel and you can see many surfers there in the morning. The price of the room with half board is very affordable (vs many other places we stayed in Japan). Staff is attentive and friendly, and they tried their best to communicate clearly on all information about the rooms (the hotel reception staff took out his phone and translated through google translate).

The family room is slightly cramped for the four of us (including all our luggage).

Amazing beachside location and views of the sea.Big room with a nice TV, refrigerator and other amenities.

A little difficult to find the entrance at nighttime.Surrounding town doesn't have great food options.

Awesome beach property! It’s right on the beach, free parking, breakfast included, wifi in the room. Just the perfect size for me and my 2 girls. This place also offered pet friendly rooms. Definitely worth booking at this hotel again. Beach was tattoo friendly per front desk.

Wished the futon was made when we checked in but not too much of a hassle to put together.

The view is very nice and the resort is close to the beach. If it not for the rain we could've enjoyed our stay more. But even then it was comfortable to just stay in the room. The room was big and spacious for our family of 4.

The walk from the station is about 10mins and the road is quite narrow so if you have kids and you have a stroller it's inconvenient. Perhaps getting a cab to the resort is better if you are bringing lots of things with you. There was a miscommunication with the breakfast that we ordered on our 2nd day of stay and we received the same food.Not about the hotel but the beach, the waves are high so I'm not sure if it's suitable for kids to swim there.

The hotel has fallen into utter disrepair. Although the view from the room is nice, the windows appear to have not been washed in at least a year. There was a spider on the curtain as we entered.Also at arrival the AC wasn't working. The whole premise seems to have not experienced a renovation in two generations. It also does not give the cleanest impression.Pricing is completely inappropriate.
