APA Hotel Gifu Hashima Ekimae

The location was so close to the train station and the convenience store. The staff is very accommodating. The rates are affordable.

I liked the location of the hotel as I was there for the F1 GP. It was a quick bullet train ride to the main city to transfer to suzuka

It's hard to say this but in Japan, everyone is so nice, so when you get to a hotel and the staff is just "meh", you feel the difference.The bed was really uncomfortable and the rooms are very tiny.

Wish we had stayed somewhere else.

Asked for a quiet room, given on close to the station, could hear and feel the trains. Bathroom was the worst on we have come across, 2 steps into the bathroom plus 1 step down inside, making access difficult for the elderly or infirm, toilet set at an angle giving less room to actually get to the miniature wash basin, stained carpet.iPhone in photos is an iPhone 10 to give perspective to the steps into bathroom.

Free curry sauce. Didn’t need to ask for more towels.

The parking was limited and spread out. The toilet seat was too small.

The breakfast staff went out of the way to organise a breakfast plate upon closing time.

It would have been nice to have been given a slightly later check out time since we arrived at 2am in the morning.

We make a mistake on our booking and booked a smoking room. We kindly asked to check if there were any other room available and the people at the front desk (not English speakers) didn’t even checked. They just told us that we didn’t have any choice. The place was unbreatheable, not ventilated, tiny, the bathroom was very old, and the extraction system was not even working. The walls paper was tore apart. We decided to make a booking in another hotel and didn’t stay for the night.

Quite area and easy access to highway to Shirakawako. Many stand alone restaurant nearby - good for traveling with a car.

The APA Hotel Gifu Hashima Ekimae, another good quality Hotel, easy parking, busy area, very helpful staff, fast check-in, high standard rooms, clean and comfortable, suitable for everyone, I would certainly stay here again when visiting this area of Japan.

The confidence and convience of the staff was wonderful. I have a basic speaking of the language, and that didn't slow them down one second. Keep in mind the staff requests you check the room key in with them if you intend on leaving the property even for a quick stop at the conbini. I felt safe, the mattress was wonderful, it was a good night's sleep.

Not being trusted with the room key outside of the building is weird, but I guess it's just a cultural thing for these types of hotels.

Really great location with lots of amenities! We stayed there for the F1 - the hotel is right next to the train station which worked very well for our early mornings and late nights. Convenience store close by.

Unfortunately some staff were not the most welcoming

They gave us new amenities everyday which is really good. I booked it in a very last minute but the price is really good. They have a really comfortable beds and pillows.

The room is a bit small but i don’t really mind it.
