    Pros +

    • The property was very attractive, the furnishings in the rooms and lounge area was very tired, in need of updating. The lighting was poor in our room and the lounge area. The safe did not work and was removable. There was a lack of suitable plug sockets, and no tea facilities in the room only coffee, and only paper cups, which were not replaced after use. The staff were all very helpful, the breakfast selection was adequate, but there was a lack of breakfast tea,not everyone drinks coffee, there was no decaffeinated coffee as far as I was aware. The evening meals were good, but the wine was pretty expensive. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The location of the hotel was peaceful and quiet, there was a relatively short walk to the nearest bus stop.
    • Special commendation for the night porter, who at 4am was cheerful polite and helpful with our early start
    • At first glance, it looked nice and welcoming and staff spoke English. The area is quiet. The bus route runs close by and stops at the station.Nice woods and area to walk in.

    Cons -

    • It was like a ghost town, restaurant was closed (we knew this) but there were very few guests. Staff manned reception and breakfast but it was a basic service. Breakfast is very overpriced for what you get. The room was dusty, including dead flies and cobwebs on the bathroom windowsill. I pointed it out and the staff just thanked me but left it! No aircon but they did provide a fan. There was also a wedding at the adjacent venue and we hardly slept that night. We stayed during the Olympics and I would say it was overpriced by about 300%.
    • There was no air con and the room was very hot, the bathroom and room furnishings needed updating .
    • A wedding held on site meant music impacted entire hotel with loud music until 3am

Accessible by car and reasonable to catch RER C train into Paris centre

A wedding held on site meant music impacted entire hotel with loud music until 3am

The location is great, staff were very friendly, ample parking and the town is lovely. Breakfast was good.

Quiet location close to beautiful wood and cycle lanesGood breakfast- freshly squeezed orange juice!

Bedroom could do with a makeover - perhaps new curtains and redecorationUnfortunately restaurant closed during stay but hotel gave good notice of this and made good alternative suggestions

    Lovely building and setting

Tiny rooms with dated bathrooms Leaking toilet in bathroom Had to ask for towel changeBreakfast service dreadful has to ask for cups for coffee machine plates for bread and no one cleared tables that had left

The rooms were basic but clean.

Unfortunately the hotel is next to a private venue and there was a wedding on one of the nights of our stay. The noise went on until past 1am. We were not informed about this in advance and when we spoke to staff, they were not very sympathetic as it’s a separate company. We had to ask whether there were any other rooms available (this should have been offered to us). While I appreciate it is a separate company, I think more could have been done to inform guests and reduce noise after a certain time e.g. 11pm. We saw other guests complaining about the same issue. Plus, the restaurant was closed, and although staff provided local recommendations, many of these were closed or far away so it was difficult to find somewhere for dinner. The small area of Manet is quite nice but the surrounding area (e.g. the town centre and Trappes) are pretty horrible. There were a few other smaller issues, e.g. the chain on our door broke off and I was consistently referred to as ‘Mr’ in communication even though I am a woman.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent - french style!

The rooms were very small and unfortunately there was no airconditioning, so it was like 30°C + in the room! Thankfully the staff provided a fan. The rooms were not very clean either and the bed was very small for a double bed.

Very good customer service. Nice and politeParking on site.Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment.

No air con in the rooms, no fans available when 37oC outside.Coffee machine not stocked daily.

Lovely period building in quiet location. Comfortable room with good facilities and clean.

Quite a few Stairs to negotiate to get to room.

Charming place. Friendly, service minded stuff.Good breakfast. We were visiting the Olympics and it was a pleasure to stay here.

The restaurant was closed during our stay.

Nice reception with friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant was busy due to a wedding party but they still managed to get us a table.

Ideal option for a visit to Versailles with convenient parking and a good restaurant on site.

yesterday it was a little bit noisy in the restaurant but it was an exception because otherwise it is very peaceful over there and outside the envirement is beautiful

services are exceptional in this hotel and I hope it will stay that way because if it is possible I will certainly be delighted to come back there, so there was nothing that I didn't like

Nice old farm charm. Very nice breakfast space and bar area.

The room furniture was old and tired. The shower was dirty in the grout lines.

    6StephanePosted on: 10-2-2023

    Very good breakfast. Fresh products

No air conditionner in each room...In summer, this is clearly an serious issue...

Everything about it, stunning location, gorgeous food, room basic but well thought out. Peaceful, good parking and for what we paid very good value. Breakfast was a cut above most of our recent stops. Loved it and hope to return as the route back to Calais from there was good too.

    Leaving.

Lovely looking hotel in a quiet location.

The restaurant was closed and we were not made aware prior to arrival. One of the rooms didn’t have a fan, which combined with a noisy wedding event until 3-4am made for a very sleepless night.
