About

Right on the beach of Agios Ioannis, Hippie Chic Hotel features a pool and elegant accommodations with free WiFi. Guests can taste Mediterranean cuisine and seafood from the on-site restaurant or sushi from the poolside bar. Pros +

    • Everything was good, the room had an amazing view of the sunset, the staff was very attentive and the service was great. Great atmosphere at beach club.
    • Staff, specifically Georgina, was so incredibly welcoming. She explained everything and was very thoughtful. She even had welcome drinks upon our arrival. Communication was top notch.
    • We like the location of the property which was right on the beach. From the beginning we wanted beach front hotel. DJ was very good and restaurant had really good food and drinks.

    Cons -

    • I just thought the room was missing some blackout curtains.
    • Room was smaller than expected.
    • What I really didn’t like about the property is that hotel had limited sun beds for their hotel guests. So I had to wake up early every morning to rush down to reserve the sun bed . It was super annoying and I witnessed family members if 2 families fighting over sun beds. It almost took ugly turn. People shouldn’t fight over their sun beds on their vacation especially when hotel next door had PLENTY of sun beds for their guests.

The staff, the manager lady and the waiter at the beach restaurant were very polite, sweet and helpful… They answered all of our many questions and catered all our needs with sweetness. The staff was exceptional compared to other places in Greece.

The beach restaurant was not well maintained and clean… The forks, spoons, knives and glasses were dirty. The breakfast was very weak, full of carbs… In a natural place like this, butter, jam, honey in plastics was really disappointing… The breads were tasteless, the pastry was full of sugar… Very limitet variety of cheese, vegetables and fruit. The yoghurt was hot and sour… The food of hippiefish restaurant was very average and even tasteless; the waiters were not so nice. Prices are very high compared to food and service quality…The room was clean, however all of the towels had prior visitors’ hair on it. Luckily, we have brought our own towels… The salty shower in the beach is really a bad idea, that has to be given up…The shower facility of the hotel is in a toilet, which is really really not good. There has to be at least two private showers with lockers (not in the toilet)… The reason that we picked this hotel was its great beach and sea… But in the first 2 days we could not swim due to really bad pollution brought by the wind. The source of this pollution should be found and a complaint should be filed in the local administration. Otherwise the visitors would have to pray for the right wind to be able to swim in a clean water. This is sad, because the hotel’s sea and beach is really in the top 3 of Mykonos… Overall, the pricing is too high considering the general quality. If those problems are solved, it is a heaven on earth, which we would like to come back…

    Location. Restaurant. Ocean View

-Perfect Location.-Restaurant on the premises.-Atm on the premises.-The transfer driver was y hospitable. So was the front desk manager when i checked in. They both are an asset to the hotel.-One can watch the Mykonos sunset from the hotel. So there isn’t a need to go anywhere else on the island.

-The parking was limited. -One of the bartenders and one of restaurant staff were extremely rude, condescending and went as far as to ignore me when i tried to make an order for food and drinks. Despite having stayed for many nights and paying a-lot of money to be there. Other guests mentioned the same concern too, but it seems the hotel management don’t care.Hence I will probably not choose to stay there again. Despite being an annual regular to Mykonos.

The hotel is quite good, small and cozy, with its own seaside access

However, the price of the hotel is really too high compared to what you get. The rooms are quite basic and the breakfast is standard

Nice rooms, Beachfront hotel, wonderful restaurant. Sea water pool. Nice views and great staff.

During our stay happened a private event on the beach which gave some challenge to deal with lunch. They said it was exceptional.

Hippie Chic is a perfectly located hotel with its own private beach and just steps away from a nearby beach club. It offers convenient on-site parking and a satisfying breakfast served with a stunning view. The staff are exceptional—always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help. Guests are greeted with a complimentary welcome drink, which is truly outstanding—easily one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve ever had. Definitely a must-try!

I was looking for a reasonably priced option for our extended stay and wanted to explore a different beach on the island. Based on my research, Ornos is a must-visit, so I decided to book Hippie Chic. There are several options in the area, but considering my budget, Hippie Chic offered the best value. That said, I strongly advise against booking the Garden View - Double Rooms. The bathroom is outdated and located just a meter away from the bed, with a very loud exhaust fan that disrupts the comfort of the room. The windows are quite small relative to the room’s size, making it difficult to get proper ventilation or fresh air. There is air conditioning available in the room operates with a loud, constant noise, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. My room also felt incomplete—only 4 power outlets were available, 1 of which wasn't working. There are no outlets near the bed, so we had to search around to charge our devices. Additionally, the shower lacks a shelf for amenities and there’s no wall hook to hang a towel. I highly recommend the hotel manegement personally stay in that room to experience these issues firsthand. It's possible that other room types are better equipped and more thoughtfully designed, so I would suggest booking those instead. On a positive note, the hotel reserves 20 sunbeds exclusively for guests on the left side of the beach—free of charge, which is a great perk. However, during peak season, there likely won’t be enough to accommodate everyone. In that case, guests would need to either pay €60–€80 for a pair of sunbeds at the adjacent beach club or find an alternative spot to swim.At last, there are umbrellas provided over the sunbeds, which is good but after 3 PM, they become ineffective due to their positioning and size. If you're looking for tan or don’t care sun exposure, good 4 u. But if you need shade, your best option is to go back to your room. Otherwise, you’ll be the beach’s next rotisserie chicken.

This is one of the few hotels in Mykonos at the beach, and I loved it!Staff had been kind and generous, they upgraded my room to a sea view suite!I loved the room, the vibe and the restaurant/bar area.I will come back.

really difficult to find a fault for the price/location.

I love the hotel facility, and the stuff was professional. They sent me massages through booking and WhatsApp in case I need any information about my stay and the visit overall. The welcoming and check in was perfect. The rooms were very clean and smiles amazing, and the bed was super comfortable. The towels were clean, and they offered beach bed towels. The beach was kind of rocks, but not bad at all. The receptionist, Ms. Nancy was very kind and helpful. She arranged our transportation even late at night easily. They arranged to pack our breakfast in the morning after our checkout because our flight was earlier than the breakfast time, and we found 5 boxes at the car. Thanks for all your services, and we had a great stay at your hotel, specifically at night, with the perfect view of the sea and mountains.

The room was beautiful and the hotel was very relaxed throughout. The reception stuff were lovely and very friendly and the pool was lovely! Breakfast had a good relaxed vibe and definitely worth getting it included. The hotel is a bus ride away from the town and a steep hill away from the closest shop which was great for us as we didn’t want it to be too busy.

Apart from breakfast which was included, the food was very expensive and not worth the money in my opinion. The reception staff were friendly but the rest of the staff weren’t very friendly. We even had an incident on the beach where we got hurt and staff were nearby but didn’t come to see if we were ok.

    9SharonPosted on: 10-2-2024

Great location by the beach, not too crowded perhaps because it was September. Staff particularly attentive at the hotel, not always so great at the beach bar and pool side but not a deal breaker we didn’t need much.

For us it was the music, one day in particular was very loud during the afternoon for a group of people, which I hadn’t read in the reviews. I love music and a dance but perhaps not for my holiday. That said if it’s a party you want, Hippie Chic is a great place.

    10KrupaPosted on: 9-25-2024

Absolutely perfect. Large rooms and well appointed. Hippie fish is excellent for a drink and to listen to so great music and catch the sunset.

Hippie fish food was a little average.

The service of Nancy at the reception. She is so kind and gives you the personal touch. Also the location and the very comfortable sunbeds at the beach and swimming pool. Very Nice to wach te sunset

A little bit of maintanance around the swimming pool; broken wooden planks and the outside shower was not working. Thats all

    10BaselPosted on: 9-12-2024

Everything from the check in, to room service, to the view, to the suite, to the beach and pool and bar!Special thanks to Nancy and the Room Service Team for accommodating to our every need.

The only thing we could think of was the lights of the building which bled into our balcony/room, I asked if that could be turned off and it is possible if they send the maintenance team to take out the light bulbs, so there was a solution for it! And that there was no towel rack next to the sink.
