The building itself is well maintained and the lobby is nice. The staff are polite. The coffee was good. But this hotel is 3 stars, not 4.

The breakfast was awful, pretty sure the eggs were old as the egg yolks were green, not yellow. No decaf coffee options. The bathroom smelled of damp and mould, and they went overboard with the room sprays to mask this, which made it difficult sleep and breathe properly. Disappointing!

Everything was perfect….the staff,cleaning personal and the restaurant ….a good culinary experience for all the clients I recomand This hotel for an relaxing experience!?

The hotel is located near Bacău, on the road to Onești, besides a gorgeous pine tree forest. The room was very comfortable, as well as the bathroom. Minibar, elevator and all the amenities you need, including parking. Big and comfy bed, nice desk (if you need to work). Very nice and helpful staff. Summing up, I enjoyed my stay and will return.

Wi-fi was not very strong and stable, however you can use your phone as a hotspot. Balcony does not have chairs and table. Breakfast was OK but could be better. The restaurant is in another building (very nice actually), but it is very expensive and the menu OK but not spectacular.

Location

Lot of noisy people... lots of partys in rooms, drink people who are wery loud. The desk manager confirm that is a habit for this tipe of clients and the hotel can not refuse Spa is open till 6pm? Why...?? Usualy is usef in the evening

Access to swimming pool is charged at 25 euros per guest!In the morning there was no power in our room, we thought problems happen and managed without, only to be told at check out that we were supposed to take the magnetic card out of the slot and reinsert after a few minutes for the power to be back on. Wouldn't it be nice to inform the guests when checking in?

The food was terrible breakfast choice awful very limited ,evening restaurant shockingly bad not the choices or the local cuisine but the actual quality of the cooking and the presentation it was inedible but the main course quality the cooking was shocking greasy cold burnt really not good.

I like the location, the staff are very respectful and polite , the SPA facilities are great and the food is excellent. Very pleasant overall and always looking forward to staying here.

The food from the Tavern was excellent. The SPA facilities were great.

The beds corners are sticking out gave me and my wife's bruised legs. Could do with trimming those corners.

The price was a steal at 110 euros a night for a suite. The onsite restaurant was also excellent. There is a spa, which sadly we didn't have the time to use, which also looked very nice. It is set in the mountain area.

We seemed to catch the hotel in somewhat of an off season. Soap was missing from our room. No furniture on the balcony.

Luckily we stayed only one night.

We were a family of 3 adults and 2 kids, took 3 rooms. The water in the shower were cold in two of the rooms and the air condition didn't work in all 3 of them, when we called the reception and asked to come and fix the air condition, they told us to open the window! We couldn't believe it... No air condition in August! We had to open the window and since it's located right on the road, it was very noisy and we were not able to sleep much. Breakfast was also poor. Very bad experience..

I usually choose to stay here for a night after I enjoy the SPA facilities, it feels very intimate, private and the new terrace looks very inviting, the food is great and the new waiters are very good.The breakfast lady Mirella is absolutely amazing, very warm and welcoming, extremely polite and friendly, really happy to have made conversation, she is the sort of person who goes the extra mile to make you feel good.

Although in the description of my room it said room with the view to the garden, it actually was to the main road which made it difficult to keep the balcony door open ( as I usually enjoy doing when I’m here) due to the noise and as I am a very light sleeper I could hear every car passing by through the night ending up feeling quite exhausted due to it.Also the aging signs of the property are starting to show , bath robes look a little exhausted too, the regular bottles of water at the SPA were no longer there and neither the bowl with fruit. Disappointing.

The key to unblock the room kept demagnetize so i had to go to the reception to ask them to re initialize it every time! This was the only inconvenient!

This is very sad. I have stayed in the past with this property and with my family and we enjoyed it very much. But it seems like now things have changed since I’ve last been here about five years ago. When we went to our room, we turned the AC on and saw that it was not lowering any more than 24 Celsius, when we went to go talk with the front desk lady, she said yes because we didn’t turn on the air conditioner and no we will not turn it on because it is not too hot outside even though we felt pretty hot in the room when I asked what we can do about that she said there’s nothing we can do so we decided to leave due to the inconvenience. When they heard that we wanted to leave, they offered us a $10 discount off of the room since the air conditioner “could not be solved until tomorrow”, or right after we left, since we were only stay one day. Unfortunately, the staff did nothing to help and seemed like they did not care. I will make sure I will not be staying here in the future.

The staff was gossiping about us because we asked about air conditioner, and when I asked if we could turn it on, they said it was not allowed since it was not too hot outside. For a four-star hotel with no air conditioner, it’s very confusing, especially when they advertise that they’ve had air conditioner. And I know from prior stays that they had air-conditioning that worked. When we try to resolve the situation, they seem to only throw a $10 discount at us. We were not looking for money, or rather a solution to this problem.

Hotel Helen is a wonderful, full featured facility. The restaurant is outstanding.

nothing really-slept on the Front of the hotel-it’s like the cars are going through your balcony-couldn’t sleep -very noise.breakfast until 10am.we went at exactly 9.50 and it was a cake,couple of slice of ham and 1 slice of bread.not even water .people were still eating-waitres answer;”we are cleaning at 10am”.tables weren’t clean ,no table ready for us to eat.at check out I have mentioned to the receptionist and she said”would you like me to remove the breakfast”?is that necessary to ask?

The breakfast in the two morning that I was part the food was empty at 9 o'clock in the morning. It wasn't full breakfast. I ask for the the spa and in the reception she told that only me ask so they will not open.I was in this hotel few times and it was amazing this time I'm very disappointed.
