Symphony Summer Sands Neil Island and Spa

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! A beautiful room, a great atmosphere, and most importantly—exceptional service and hospitality. The staff does their job perfectly, making every guest feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was delicious, and the bed was incredibly soft and cozy. A huge thank you to the entire team for their professionalism and warm hospitality!

The hotel was great, but unfortunately, swimming in the sea was not possible due to high corals. It would be good to have better access to the water for guests.

Far from the best

Front desk doesn’t seem like they want to be there. You have got to nudge them for a response.Furniture and sofa was in a bad shape. Not cleaned with sticky stuff and residue. Absolutely disgusting!The beach was a major letdown. Just rocks and dead corals with no way to get to the water.

Disappointing

I booked two aqua view room but they have given one aqua view room. Room has given after 12 but for check out they started calling before 9 am

Gigantic room suitable for a king to stay in. Not sure if we got a room upgrade but room seemdd bigger than on the pictures. Good ac, clean bathroom and nice breakfast and staff.

Room we got was not next to the pool but because of the comfort of the room and because it was close to the sea we didn’t mind really.

We booked aqua room and only good thing was the pool adjacent to our room which was just outside the balcony.

The service of the restaurant was very poor and slow. Breakfast options were very limited. The staffs were friendly though. The wifi does not work at all

I will definitely plan my next visit only at Symphony Summer Sand , it was one of the best stay . I was afraid by looking at reviews at social media,how it will going to be when travelling with kids but the property surpassed my expectations in every sphere. Check in was smooth n quick ,staff cooperative and serving with smile, room neat and clean, and ice on the cake the food was awesome, can’t miss to stunning swimming pool.

Property is amazing.. except the lady staff at the reception was not smart enough to assist the traveler

There is no doubt about the ambience of the property except that the (lady) staff could not look into our payment details which was done while the booking the hotel. (Appreciate the Hotel Manager -who did accommodate us basis the booking confirmation) however we ended paying excess amount.. Lady staff did not even make an effort to validate the payment information when the bank statement is submitted. She insisted multiple times to release the payment.. We nearly lost 3-4 hours working on this conversation which was really suffocating till we made second payment. It was a unpleasant experience having such staffs around.

The hotel experience was marred by an exorbitant price coupled with subpar services. The persistent lack of functional Wi-Fi in the rooms over three consecutive days was exacerbated by a staff seemingly trained to be rude when addressing service-related concerns. The adjacent hotel had no issues with its Wi-Fi, highlighting that the problem lay in the inadequate installation of routers rather than a network issue.The breakfast buffet was chaotic, with insufficient seating leading to a wait for tables. Additionally, crucial items ran out well before the scheduled closing time at 9 AM. Given the hefty price tag, the overall experience was deemed a waste of money. The common washrooms at the reception resembled a railway station in terms of odor, and the facilities within the room exuded a dated '90s aura, demanding urgent renovation.In light of the limited alternatives on Neil Island, it appears the hotel capitalizes on the situation without investing in necessary upgrades. A significant overhaul of the property and comprehensive hospitality training for the staff are imperative to rectify these issues.

Wasn’t able to check-in because the hotel doesn’t accept credit card and there was no working ATM or bank on the island that would allow me to get cash.

Horrible experience, arrived and was unable to check-in because credit card wasn’t accepted. I’ve never heard of a decent hotel which doesn’t accept credit card, especially when there’s not a working ATM on the island to get cash. Thank god the Sea Shell Resort accepts credit cards otherwise we would have had no place to stay.

Excellent facilities provided, courteous staff , value for money.

Bar facility was available but rates were on a bit higher side..

Passable

Food was bad and the lights inside the room is not working. The property has become old, a lot of taps, and doors, don't work properly.

We were upgraded to spacious cottage rooms near the beach. The rooms were very huge and simply superb.we had Jhula in our rooms. We had booked 3 rooms and had visited with my children and grandchildren so we thoroughly enjoyed the resort. The food spread was very good too.

Many dogs in the property. Their playfulness is scary for people not used to them.

pizza took 1 hour 30 mins to arrive, no WiFi in the rooms, only 1 main WiFi in the lobby that to slow speed. not worth the money, good alternatives.

pool was badly maintained, the breakfast was really poor. the staff was not helpful at all.

We had the one bedroom suite and it was just amazing. The highlight was the swing in the room. Our evening tea spot. Must stay here when in Neil.

The bathroom flush was very very slow. If a person has used it next person has to wait atleast for 20 minutes for it to get refilled.

The property is at a good location. The property has amenities and facilities. But poorly maintained.

No internet. No basic cleanliness in room. For the extremely exorbitant price I paid, I was expecting very high standards of service - the services were extremely poor. Like lack of internet in rooms, no room service beyond 9pm, charges for late check-out, very poor buffet breakfast spread, toiletries in room didn't include dental kit. No water in washroom. Also, I was there for the Dec 31 night - the hotel didn't even offer a complimentary cookie. The property seems to be understaffed, which is understandable a after the pandemic year - the staff members are cordial, but lack proper training and customer handling skills. All of this for almost 40k for 2 nights. This hotel is certainly not recommended. Will never go back there.
