Location is perfect, everything on the doorstep.

Pool area didn't have enough sun umbrellas/shade.Accommodation staff were very loud each morning. I understand they have work to do before 9am, however we stayed as our holiday and would expect staff to be as quiet as possible until 9am. Accommodation staff chatted loudly each morning in the corridors.Breakfast staff were not welcoming and again didn't make any effort to be quiet. Staff in breakfast room banged cups, plates , cutlery and dragged chairs across floors rather then lifting them. Little effort would make the ambience more welcoming.

Excellent location, welcoming staff, very clean; our suite was ideal for us three.

The room was spacious, the bathroom was large and everything was great! Beds were decent and the balcony was nice to have. Although overlooking the car park, it was good to have for a chill evening. The location was nice, peaceful and quiet! Having booked a studio, the cooking facilities came in handy!Overall, a nice experience.

Breakfast was really unimpressive... We mostly booked this place because of the breakfast reviews, but that was not true. Very basic and very british type of breakfast, that seems almost improvised. Same really low quality small beer type sausages, same really low quality "bacon"... and the mushrooms were the ones you get in a can, and just dumped in the dish to keep them warm... Very few options, really disappointed... we had breakfast in our room most days, with food from the shops.Low noise insulations.Other than that, everything was good.

Very clean, comfy beds. Fridges in both rooms and lovely showers. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast just didn’t suit our taste

We had a studio apartment which was excellent, bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Breakfast in the basement was also excellent with a good choice of fruit, breads, cereals and cooked breakfast.

Location and price were great. Staff were very friendly.

The cleanliness in the room was average and the noise insulation wasn’t great.

Facilities very poor, very little storage in bedroom, no smart TV, holes in towels, a coffee machine would have been nice addition.

Basic but comfortable room, comfy beds, kettle in room, staff very pleasant, lift to all floors, excellent breakfast, great location, all in all a huge success for us

For a 4star hotel the breakfast was of a poor standard very basic . I have stayed in 3star hotels with a better selection . Also I had a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee and as I only stayed 1 night I couldn't be bothered to complain but for a longer stay it is not ideal and definitely not 4star rating

The only mirror was in the bathroom. Not one in the bedroom. (my only gripe!!)

Alvor was lovely the hotel wasn’t

We were given room 219A, this is the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in, we had booked a deluxe double or twin. We contacted reception & voiced our concern & was told there wasn’t another room available. This was booked in February 2024, so how did we end up with this sub-standard accommodation.

Location was central to everything

Although I did have a balcony, my daughter didn't. It wasn't made clear enough at the time of booking that some rooms didn't have them.

THIS HOTEL IS 5 MINS AWAY FROM THE CENTRAL AREA WHERE THERE ARE NUMEROUS BARS AND RESTAURANTS LOCATED DOWN A MYRIAD OF NARROW STREETS. THE HOTEL ROOM WAS EXCELLENT AND THE POOL AREA HAS PLENTY OF SUN BEDS AND A GREAT POOL SIDE BAR THAT SERVES LUNCHTIME SNACKS AS WELL AS BEERS AND COFFES ETC. BREAKFAST WAS ALSO EXCELLENT WITH A GREAT CHOICE OF HOT AND COLD ITEMS, NO COMPLAINTS. IT ALSO HAS FREE PARKING IF YOU'RE DRIVING.

WE THOUGHT THE HOTEL WAS CLOSER TO THE BEACH THAT IT ACTUALLY WAS, PROBABLY OUT FAULT, ITS ABOUT A 10-15 MIN WALK AWAY BUT WELL WORTH THE EFFORT, ESPECIALLY THE CAVES! NOT ALL ROOMS HAVE A BALCONY WHICH DIDN'T REALLY BOTHER US, BUT SOME QUESTS WE SPOKE TO WERE UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS.

Had to be up very early to make sure you could get bed round pool beds very comfortable pool was a bit colder than I would of liked
