Unfortunately we got a north facing room, so did not get the sun at all ??

The location is just few steps to the beach of Torralta. There is a grocery nearby around 5 minutes walk. We had a big room with balcony and sea view.The staff are top notch. My standard of service is quite high since I used to work in a luxury 5 star resort in the Maldives so I am very keen on this area. We are recommending this hotel. Don't doubt just book.

- there was a note in the bathroom that there was just 50 litres of hot water per room. We had to have very quick showers to make sure 2 of us had enough hot water. After a day out trekking, swimming in the ocean beach etc you want to have a good relaxing shower, which was not possible. Changing that would make people's stay more comfortable.

Small pool and unfortunately we had problems with our shower tray draining which took 3 days to sort

Great location. Easy access to the beach and perfect location to walk to local restaurants and shopping. We chose the option to have breakfast included which was a good option if you didn’t want to look for a place to eat every morning.

The pool is very small and the surrounding tall buildings block the sun in the late afternoon. We spent most of our time doing day trips along the Algarve so we only used the pool a couple of times but it was usually late in the afternoon so it was a bit disappointing.

Great location, room had all amenities we appreciate. Staff was helpful making bookings/reservations. Before leaving bar was closed, but they still made us cappuccinos.

Americans appreciate a smile. Our housekeeper was great. But other cleaning staff need to be trained to make visitors feel welcomed by acknowledging their presence with a smile or hello.

Perfect location. 2 minute walk from the beach and 10 minute walk from the town. Rooms are more spacious then they look and beds are super comfy! The studios have everything you need. Pool area was lovely too, very quiet and comfortable. The bar drinks and snacks are also lovely.

Breakfast is pricey for a buffet however it was decent. I would go to the town instead or get a studio so you can make your own breakfast! They didnt have a toaster whcih was a bit difficult.

It was in a great location. 5 Minutes from the beach and a 15 min walk into town for restaurants and shops. The rooms were new and modern, a great size and the kitchenette was fully equipped with a full size fridge.

The noise (staff cleaning rooms like if the hotel has no guests) at 9am. The breakfast is average.

Alvor itself is a quaint town and a pleasure to experience. The Wyndham Alvor Residences was the perfect hotel to explore it.Nice pool area for a cooling dip when you don’t have time for the beach. Parking is for a fee, but we chose the plentiful street parking instead.We had a wonderful week stay. Staff are delightful and cheery. Location: minutes to a wonderful walkable beach, the boardwalk and a good selection of restaurants right along the beach. A short walk to restaurants in town and supermarket. The Old Town, which has a abundant choice of restaurants, is a mere 15 minute stroll. Our room was clean, well-appointed with a beautiful view of the ocean, a pleasure to wake up too and then enjoy a coffee on the balcony or a glass of wine in the evening.A delightful and relaxing stay!

Its proximity to the beach. The staff were helpful and the food was good.

Noise from the street was clearly audible even six floors up. There was often a long wait time on the lifts as there were only two to service the whole building

5 min walk to the beach, staff is extremely nice and helpful, you can walk to most restaurants in about 15-20 mins. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool amenities were excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel!

The location is next to the beach with ample parking nearby.

The facility overall was old and tired. The room decor was equally tired. Also, the bathroom needs to be repaired and better cleaned -- it was gross. The kitchen appliances were poorly made and didn't operate well.

Dirty room and noisy. We couldn't get a proper rest in this hotel. The lack of comfort doesn't match the price.I'm sorry to say this, but the housekeeping crew was really rude (constant screaming on the hallways, the constant banging, dragging things on the floor etc.) not to mention that it remains a mistery to me what was all this daily riot for, as beside cleaning the bins and replacing the towels, not much was done.

The sea view in the room was amazing!Comfy room.

The lack of ice machine, had to ask at the bar.When sitting by the pool , you feel like you are on the street, with cars passing near by.Had card issues on checking in, had to go back down to lobby twice.

The comfy bed was good

Shower water pressure was fairly poor.Reception staff only gives you the "welcome speech" once you actually paid for the room.

Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean

For sure it is overrated on Booking. It is a 3 star hotel maximum the reasons:- it feels to enter in a business airport hotel in a UK city ( not at all the mood of Algarve )- rooms are quite small - amenities in the room poor ( the 2nd day no more Nespresso coffee and water) - facilities is old Overall poor value for money
