Pros +
- Great location, great room, allowed for an early check-in and the cafe is superb.
- The location was convenient, but it was next to a youth hostel, so you could hear the kids taking and laughing outside our window. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly and helpful, but the room was tiny. The breakfast buffet was good.
- Breakfast, room and location.
Cons -
- The cafe internet went offline when the cafe closed. There was nothing regarding using the hotel's password protected access. It created a communications problem.
- Upon arrival there was a hotel worker present that instead of checking me in directed me to read several emails and messages in my booking inbox to then click through the check-in process. That process ended up not working properly leaving the situation in a stalemate where the hotel worker didn't want or could not help me but the system also didn't continue until after waiting for 10 minutes. Once that was done, you get an email that contains the key for the front door and your room door. Getting to that point was tedious though.
- There was a slight smell but that’s on par with older buildings. The rooms were completely modern, though, and wonderful!

Great location, the hotel does not offer parking, but there are various options nearby. Breakfast buffet was good as well.

The location was excellent, the staff (especially Nino) was very helpful, and the rooms were much larger than I expected!

Loved the room and the food was amazing. Unfortunately, the Christmas Markets were cancelled (which I did not realize at the time of booking) so the town is super quiet at night with not many restaurants open. They had the best breakfast though out of all the places we stayed while in Germany! The Black Forrest is so amazing. Very easy parking.
Amazing looking, neat and clean spacious rooms
Property doesn’t have elevator
Breakfast was great! The location was great and parking was convenient!
The check in procedure was stressful. All on the phone website for doors. I checked in a little late and no internet had to call a german answering machine that thank goodness spoke english upon request. We almost had to keep driving and not sleep there.
Location is not bad
Wireless door locks and really bad. I got locked out twice in one night. Very thin walls. Please hire someone to help guests.
The location
The check in process was a disaster. I have traveled extensively for 50 years and this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Tried to check in the afternoon to find no one at the location. The door was closed. I don't speak German so I was unable to determine what I needed to do. I confirmed my reservation a few days prior and was never told that I would be sent an email with check in instructions. I do not check my email on vacation for various reasons. One of which is due to the inability to access the Internet. We were unable to check on for about an hour. It was extremely stressful and frustrating. Very unprofessional. We had to pay for parking at a local parking lot due to not being able to access the hotel parking. This is an additional expense we were unprepared for. The next day we had check out at 11am. We went out to see some of the local sites. As we were heading back to the parking garage at 10 am, the woman from the hotel started us and was following us!!! It was so creepy and alarming. We still had another hour. She wanted to retrieve the parking card from us. Very inappropriate. No extra pillows available, my fitted sheet had a hole, the shower doors did not close, the pegs for the towels were slippery so the towels fell off, we couldn't adjust the heat and were cold all night, no fire escape instructions in the room, no place in the bathroom to place any toiletries, the lamp on the bed was mounted to the side and I hit my head on it during the night. Location, quaint, cozy, church bells, parking location, dog friendly, breakfast
Not enough time
I liked the family room.
Lack of staff for assisting guests. They were too busy working the pastry shop. Breakfast didn’t have a lot of options. Very noisy on the Main Street.
The rooms are so nice. The staff was very accommodating as well. We loved the location and the bakery downstairs has wonderful desserts! Highly recommend! Will definitely stay again when we visit Triberg.
Cafe was amazing, breakfast was perfect, location as ideal and beautiful, and check in was very nice and convenient. We had a great time and stay all together.
The bed was very hard, and the couch in the room was missing a leg so it was a little broken to sit on. The pillows after a night of sleeping on them became comply flat.
Good location with nice view and the room is spacious
During breakfast, it seems there is always not enough milk.
The location is perfect. The stuff is very gentle and helpful.
No elevator and no air condition, there is fan on the room. You need to upload your virtual key every time you need to enter your room.
5 minute walk to waterfall, comfortable beds, property responsive to messages, good breakfast included, family run hotel
Close to everything, great breakfast and clean
The room was super spacious! The location is in great proximity to the waterfall/town and public transportation. Breakfast was exceptional and the staff at the cafe were kind, polite and helpful.
The bed was too hard for my liking and more pillows would have been great.
Excellent location, clean, friendly staff.
