Pros +
- Location.. Friendly staff and clean
- Room 401 is a corner room with large windows overlooking the water and town but the wraparound balcony did not have any chairs or table so you could only stand out there and sip your coffee. The large room had a refrigerator and kettle and they provided a carafe where you could get your drinking water from the dispenser in the hall. Lots of cabinet shelves to store your clothes.
- Great property and the best one to stay at if in El Nido. It’s in the heart of everything and close to the beach. Wonderful room, great restaurant and view, close to shopping, culture, art, spa, beach, restaurants — everything!
Cons -
- The only but is Breakfast, this could be improved.
- The bed and pillows were too firm for our comfort. The bathroom tile was quite slippery and the Japanese was a bit too aggressive (it would “DING” and open if you came within a meter of it). We had the room cleaned once while we were there but they left the dirty coffee cups and spoons so we had to call the next day to get them replaced. We didn’t see any recycle bins or environmental certificate (most places had them prominently displayed) so it’s not clear if they are compliant.
- Great hotel all around! For the price paid free breakfast would have been nice to include. They don’t but literally right outside the hotel are tons if restaurants you can buy breakfast at.

Location for me is so convenient
No swimming pool, but u can use amenities from other nearby sister properties
It was in a good location access to many restaurants, shops, ferry and starting point for the island hopping tours. The rooms were spacious and clean. We really loved their mascot, Gigi.
No deficiencies stood out for us.
Everything is perfect… hotel is newly renovated, people from front desk are very nice and helpful. What a exceptional service.
Great hotel. Perfectly located in El Nido. We had an extremely late arrival due to flight cancellations are were glad to be checked in promptly by the 24 hour front desk. I was able to message them via Whatsapp about my late arrival at 3 am. They provide complimentary transfer to the airport as well. The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of El Nido town. We were close to restaurants, laundry, the beach, travel agencies, etc. It is a beautiful hotel with a very nice restaurant on the roof where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast while taking in the gorgeous view of the beach. While the a la carte breakfast is not included, it is delicious and convenient. Service is top notch. I highly recommend staying here.
No in house dining, only separately owned restaurant with very poor service.
The staff is amazing. Even when we did not book our tours directly with the hotel, they still checked on us to make sure our pick up is coming to get us and offered to contact our travel agency for us. Always on point with offering beach towels and answering our questions and inquiries. The location is incredible too - right in the middle of town, having a reliable bathroom just a short walk away while roaming around town is unmatched especially if you are woman. The beach is a 2 minute walk away and there are so many great bars/restaurants/cafes around to explore. I'm already set on staying here for the next time I am back in El Nido.
We really enjoyed our time at S Resort. From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxed and well taken care of, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy El Nido at our own pace. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and welcoming, and it’s a nice place to come back to after a day out exploring. What we appreciated most was how smooth everything felt during our stay. Check-in was easy, the staff were attentive without being intrusive, and any questions we had were handled quickly. It gave us more time to focus on enjoying the town, the food, and the island vibe rather than worrying about logistics.Staying here made it very easy to enjoy El Nido slowly, whether that meant wandering around town, relaxing in the evenings, or simply taking things day by day without rushing. It’s the kind of place that quietly supports your trip in the background, and that made a big difference for us.We left feeling very positive about our time here and would happily choose this place again on a future visit.
Location..lobby .. room
Resto area ..renovation is on going
We stayed four nights at S Resort El Nido and the highlight of our experience was definitely Carl at the front desk. He was incredibly efficient, always attentive, and ready to solve any need or issue immediately. His professionalism and kindness truly made the difference and played a huge part in making our stay perfect. The room was also excellent: the bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were great, including a fantastic Dyson hair dryer. We would happily stay here again.
The views from the room weren’t pleasant. The ones from the rooftop restaurant overlooking the beach were much nicer.
We stayed here during two typhoons that came through El Nido, and the experience was beyond anything we could have hoped for. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Their attentiveness during such a stressful time (for them even more than us) meant the world to us.Special thanks to Jill, Carl, Alvin, Jessica, Margaret, Janelle, and manager Russel, every single one of them was fantastic in their own way. Their kindness, calm presence, and constant support to help with any and all arrangements made our stay unforgettable. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and in a great location close to everything. Our room was well-kept, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxing despite the weather. The location is great, the service is outstanding, and thanks to the team, we would 100% come back for the staff alone, truly felt like family. Highly recommend!
The property is in a great location at a reasonable price. Even though the hotel is still undergoing construction, the shared areas were clean and comfortable. The customer service was excellent—upon arrival, three staff members greeted me with a slice of cake for my birthday without me ever having to tell them. That thoughtful touch truly stood out. I also appreciated having access to the sister property’s pool.
There’s no view and no on-site pool, and the bathroom shows its age. The hotel is still going through updates, and the bottled water setup wasn’t ideal—my floor’s water dispenser was broken, which made it inconvenient to refill.
Well designed, spacious room, center of the city, helpful staff
We had a great stay at this resort and truly enjoyed our time here. The staff were always friendly, polite, and attentive. They greeted us with smiles every day and were quick to help with anything we needed, whether it was arranging transportation, giving restaurant suggestions, or helping us with our island-hopping schedule. Their warm attitude really made us feel at home. The breakfast was also very good. There were plenty of choices, and everything tasted fresh. The croissants in particular were excellent — buttery, flaky, and warm, one of the best we’ve had during our travels. It was something we looked forward to every morning. The location is perfect, right in the center of El Nido town. It was very easy to walk to beaches, restaurants, convenience stores, and the pickup point for tours. We didn’t need to worry about transportation at all. Because of its central location, it was very convenient to explore the area. There is some construction happening on the lower floor, but it didn’t have a major impact on our stay. The only thing to note is that since it’s close to a few bars, it can get a bit noisy at night. If you’re sensitive to sound, you might want to bring earplugs. For us, it was manageable, and the convenience of being in the center made it worth it.One of the highlights was the travel agency they partner with. The island-hopping trip was very well organized. The staff on the boat were kind, professional, and fun. The schedule was smooth, and we never felt rushed. The snorkeling spots were beautiful, and the whole experience was comfortable and enjoyable. It really added value to our stay.Overall, we had a great experience here. The service, breakfast, and location were excellent, and we really appreciated how easy it was to explore El Nido from here. We would be happy to stay again in the future and would definitely recommend it to others visiting El Nido.
Newly renovated and beautifully designed — clean, comfortable, and in the best location in town. I’ve stayed here many times and am really impressed with the new look. The Janu coffee shop downstairs is a great addition.
Stayed twice for the great facilities and a central location. Staff are super nice and helpful!
It was the best location, just a short walk to many great bars and restaurants. All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay feel like a true home away from home. Everything was comfortable, convenient, and full of warm hospitality. Can’t wait to be back!
10 out of 10 — we’ll definitely be back! There’s really nothing we didn’t like. If I had to mention one thing, perhaps it’s that having only one adorable guard puppy at the front door just isn’t enough.
Place looks fresh and modern, you can tell it’s recently renovated. My room was really comfortable and clean, and the staff were so nice and helpful the whole time. It’s nearby everywhere which makes the location perfect! There are tons of bars and restaurants around, so it’s really easy to go out for a drink or find something fun to do at night. It can get a bit lively in the area, but that’s part of what makes it such a fun spot.
The only small thing I noticed was the bathroom sink looked a little older compared to the rest of the room, but honestly, it didn’t bother me at all.
