Pros +
- Conveniently close to the beach
- Staff and breakfast buffet.
- Great view from the hotel lobby, pretty clean, good breakfast
Cons -
- Bathroom was disgusting, room has cracks in the walls and ants crawling. Mold around the toilet and I had even asked the staff to clean it as it was very unappealing.
- My reservation were for 4 rooms but only 2 showed on their record. Bought an additional room for almost the price of 2 rooms. The worst part of the experience was to discover a large scorpion crawling in the middle of the night. Luckily, nobody got hurt
- When we arrived at the airport, they were supposed to be waiting for us, but we were told that they were very busy with other guests and could only send us a transfer in an hour. We refused because it was a 5-hour drive to the hotel and it was already evening. The phone number on the booking was incorrect, the hotel took hours to respond to messages, and even the Filipinos threw up their hands when we asked how to contact them—we were very dissatisfied. There is no internet in the hotel - our problem was not being solved the whole week we were there. Even in the hotel lobby, it works intermittently, so you won't be able to watch a movie in your room or call your family. There are constant power cuts, and no one warns you (as they do in other hotels). Sometimes the power was out for several hours, both during the day and in the evening. There is construction work going on near the hotel, so you will hear everything from early in the morning. Please note that the pool and sun loungers are accessible to anyone outside the hotel. The hotel also allows other people to freely reserve the pool area and the entire grounds for meals, so for us, for example, the pool and everything nearby was closed for more than 5 hours one day because there was a wedding.

Breathtaking view
I’m very disappointed with this hotel. After a long flight with no sleep, we arrived expecting a smooth and comfortable check-in—especially considering how much we paid for this stay. Instead, we were left waiting a long time just to enter our room because the hotel was experiencing an electricity shortage. For a hotel that charges high prices, guests deserve proper service, reliable facilities, and clear communication. Sadly, none of that was provided. There was no urgency from the staff, no updates, and no real effort to make guests feel taken care of during the inconvenience. When guests pay a premium, we expect a premium experience. Unfortunately, this stay was far from it. I truly hope management improves their service and prioritizes their guests better in the future.I’m just happy that the view was truly breathtaking, but overall, the service and experience were not worth the money.
The decor was great. The openness of common spaces was great. Views were amazing the pool and music through out the day made you feel good all day.
Amazing location, both the forrest and sea view is a memory for a lifetime. Very freindly staff.
Had mold in the room on the ceiling from some drainage issue, which at this pricepoint is not acceptable
beautiful resort, swimming pool lighting is dreamy, good breakfast, super nice view.
Nothing , even the pool that is the only thing that is nice was green and all floor dirty .
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND MENTAL HEALTH AND NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL ! Wow where to begin , before we came to this hotel I saw a lot of bad reviews , but we already had reserved and payed so we choosed to give it a chance . From the minute we arrived , WiFi wasn’t working , hotel stuff is working and fixing stuff all the time and bothering you on the room , all bathroom water ( shower-tap and toilet ) WAS BROWN ! They told us they will fix it and please to take our with us all our value things ( to the beach or tour ) , after talking with them for a few times they agreed to change us rooms ( the most competent thing to do ) we need to waste Time and pack our things . On the room they change us too , I couldn’t sleep all night , all the bed with BED BUGS !!!!! The other day I was full of itches in all body , you need to ask them please to make up the room . Staff is not caring and helpful at all , really rudes . And the breakfast is so poor we had to go outside to get a normal coffee and food . This was our last destination on Philippines and last hotel , and we never !!! Had this problems .Hope this helps other people not to fall like us .Very disappointed .
Amazing pool, views, food, rooms and staff!
Some room items may need more maintenance. Our initial room did not have wifi at all and the other room we stayed at had a little leak, broken tv and air conditioning was not really cooling the room.
The view was breath taking from my room and the pool.
Under construction but thats understandble
The view from the restaurant is amazing.
We were sold the cheaper room at the price of the more expensive one. When we asked for a room change or refund, we received no response until after we left. Only then were we told we would not receive any refund because we didn’t leave earlier or switch rooms — even though the hotel never replied to our messages. We were also only informed about ongoing construction works after we had already paid, with the booking marked as non-refundable. The construction was extremely loud, starting around 7 am and lasting until the evening (about 8 pm), making it very hard to relax. The staff were rude, especially the hotel manager, who ignored us completely after we raised the issue and even called staff to handle us instead of speaking with us directly. In an emergency, when the bike they rented to us broke down in the middle of nowhere at night, we called nine times. Nobody picked up for a long time, and when they finally did, they told us to find help ourselves. The path to the rooms is very far and requires climbing many stairs, which makes it difficult to access. The breakfast was mediocre. The room itself had many problems: the sink was clogged, there were geckos inside, the bed was difficult to access because of the couch placement, the shower doors wouldn’t close, the water was dirty, and there was no view at all.Below I will post the photos of the room advertised on Booking versus the room we actually got, as well as the broken tire from the bike they rented us.
Location and view were stunning. Staff were really really friendly and helpful.
We booked a room with a view at the bay. We changed rooms because our first room the view was blocked by bushes. The rooms were not very clean, especially the bathroom. The bed was a bit small for the two of us. We expected a bit more for the price we payed.
The staff is very polite and friendly. The resort is clean and has a nice view.
The check in is too late and the check out is too early.
I stayed in the forest view room where I was greeted by straw hat and decorated blanket placed on the bed. The room was very spacious for one and the TV speaker sound was brilliant. there was Netflix YouTube and prime available to browse. I arrived early because I had an early morning flight. I checked in not until around 230 pm meanwhile I rested in the reception area. There is a beautiful pool and scenic view with sun beds. The pics online doesn't do it justice. The staff greeted me on arrival. Since I was travelling solo I felt safe and the staff were friendly and approachable. The lady assisted me in book Tour A and recommended beaches such as Nacpan and Lio beach. They were also able to grab me a tricycle and booked a van transfer to go back to Puerto princesa airport. One downside was that my bathroom door locked and maintenance wasn't available to change the locks until 10am which delayed my plans for the day. Despite this I enjoyed my stay in el nido bayview resort !! It's approx 10-14 minutes walk from the Vanilla beach and 20 minutes tricycle ride to the el nido town centre ! Will definitely recommend to friends and family !!
The view itself is incredible. It’s that good they have day tours during the day for people who just come to see the pool so as for privacy you loose that high quality aspect during the day. The view is the highlight. Our room had a leak in the roof, shower that dripped and an electric lock that played up and make noises. If your in the forest view you can still hear the construction they give you warning of this but it defiantly goes past 5pm - depends how fussy you are. Didn’t bother us to much but does add the experience in a slightly negative way when trying to relax in room.
People coming to pool during the day. Lots of younger people that took away the privacy / exclusive feel to the place.Rooms - leaking roof, shower tap kept running, mould on the roof bed not overall comfortable. Just felt it was less quality than what we paid for a
The room
Standard of breakfast buffet below our expectations and tasteLack of shade area around the poolRoom was not made every day or drinking water replenished
The pool was incredible and great breakfast
Not internet for 2 days and not water at all for almost 1 day
The best thing about this hotel are their staff. They are very friendly and would go extra level to make your stay better. The food was okay but the ambience of the place is lovely especially the pool/bar/restaurant. Just walking distance to Maramegmeg Beach which is great but the walk back through the stairs was very challenging. The dogs are cute too.
The property is situated overlooking Las Cabanas Beach and the islands as well as a lovely pool that has a beautiful sunset every single night. The staff are wonderful and see to every need you have. The rooms are lovely. Initially we had a forest view but upgraded at a cost to bay view and the room was much bigger with a gorgeous view as well as electric.powered curtains which was a new one for us. The room is also kitted out with international plugs so you don't have to worry about multiple adaptors. Food at the restaurant is spanish/philippino with some western options as well but they're chicken adoba tacos are amongst the best I've ever had and I've been to Mexico! The pizzas are pretty good and the pasta was great as well. Superb selection of drinks and there's a happy hour between 4pm and 8pm when selected cocktails are 350 pesos for 2 which is very reasonable. Needless to say one night we overindulged. The only negatives are in the Seaview room the shower door stopped short of closing and the bathroom, particularly higher up on the walls could have been cleaner, same in the forest view as there were tarnished taps and around the lighting at ceiling level there was a fair bit of dust and gathered stuff. The swimming pool had a line of staining from suncream which is pretty understandable with it being used as a dip and dine place as well during the day. It was wonderful though and pretty to very good value for money and we actually changed a future booking to go back. The sunsets almost cannot be beaten and the service and hotel itself is wonderful. We spent 3 days around the pool and we're not those sort of people but it was great. Breakfast is amazing, coffee could be better but that's almost the only thing that was negative there. Custom eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles and a range of breads, fruit and salad items. So good. Loved it there! It is also only about 10 minutes from the town by tricycle.
Amazing pool, the bed in the room was 1/10 comfortable, and the bathroom sink was dirty and the floors all dirty. They have a big bird caged in a tiny cage in reception clearly not humane keeping it in a cage that size, that’s not a pet that’s cruelty, crazy idea to think that’s a nice thing to have on show, hope they let it free. Booked boat tour of the islands, 11thousand pesos private boat for two of us, for some reason there was 6 staff members, one invited his wife for the day out, was told then at the port we had to hire out snorkels you’d think be included? Suggested we hired snorkels from a store, we arrived and both the snorkels was broken, he suggested not to breath with the snorkel and hold our breath. I’m not joking. So the 2 snorkelling locations we cancelled. Don’t book through hotel, use your own snorkels. Wifi? Forget about it, they haven’t got working wifi doesn’t look like they want to fix it either, zero signal at the hotel. Not impressed at all it’s sad because so much potential
