Pros +
- Location is far Away from El Nido noisy town. We found peace and beautiful place in here.
- Location and views are fabulous, very calm but in easy reach of Vanilla Beach. Staff very helpful and friendly with a family feel. Loved the pool.
- First of all, this location is ideal for 3 nights. So you can consider this as a relaxing stay after a busy downtown stay in El Nido center with island tours completed. The location is isolated from the crowd in a cul du sac part of the island and provides serenity and relaxation at the beachfront location. The major issue is that transportation as you can get to McDonalds from the hotel either by walking to Vanilla Beach or book a golf cart from the hotel. The beach is really nice and has two sides for walking. One side goes to Vanilla Beach in 15 to 20 minutes and the other goes to south to a corner of the island.Do not stay in Garden view rooms, very bad, they should not offer these rooms. Either stay in cabins or front villas. The downside is that the accessibility that it is not easy to leave the premise and come back everyday. You need to book a golf cart every time you want to go to the center. You could Alternatively walk to Vanilla beach and from McDonalds take a tricycle. But the tides go high after 7pm so coming back from Vanilla beach walking is not something I can recommend.Island tours: we did book one tour Tour C in a place in Vanilla Beach. But to do tours you can stay in El Nido downtown. It is jot easy to do it from the Dalorag Resort.Service at the resort is very good, rooms are cleaned everyday and bathroom is clean and cabins have hot tubs. The beds are comfortable.Downside:You need to wait 15 minutes for hot water.Mosquito:You need to ask a mosquito net for the room, they don't provide by default.Food:The restaurant is nice, staff is friendly. Although, a few occasions they confused the order. You need to be very specific and ask them to repeat your order. They have amazing olive oil, they very nice to bring me some every meal, much appreciated. The salt and pepper we had to ask every time for breakfast and dinner. They can provide most of things needed, you just need to ask.
Cons -
- Several so minor things they not deserve to be mentioned
- The only thing is that the cuisine could have been a bit better and some portions were quite small. But overall OK.

Breakfast - really appreciated that breakfast was included. They offered both Filipino style and English breakfast choices. Location - a little tricky to reach the resort due to it being more private/remote. But honestly, worth the extra logistics because the resort's privacy and view are spectacular!Staff - absolutely amazing! They were so willing to meet our requests, so polite and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home.
Christmas Eve dinner - appreciated the buffet, but also wished resort could have offered the choice to order a la carte.
The location was great, quiet ant out of the hustle if El Nido.
The property was amazing and the staff were friendly and attentive.
No TV, very spotty Wi-Fi unless in the restaurant. No hot water in sink or shower, only in separate tub. Hated having to rely on a single driver to take us or pick us up in town. Road was sooo rough and so far out , you have to only go by their golf cart, hope you don’t get stuck!
The owner talked nice but was stingy with any fixes. We got stuck in town one night waiting on them to pick us up, waited for over an hour, the one driver didn’t want to call the owner because they were in bed, it was 9:30! Crazy owner still charged us full price! Never Again!
Location is really spectacular, and resort villas are also nice.
Service is something to improve, people are good willing but they are missing some process I guess and the result is lack of reliability:Orders at the restaurant were not going through, slow delivery of food, we had to ask multiple times towels or to clean the room.Cab service/golf cart instead was a nice service and always on time and reliable.
The view is just amazing and the whole relaxing vibe the place has.
I don’t like the fact that they charge for the transportation after 5pm because there is literally no other way to reach them the hotel after 5pm.
Breakfast was kind of poor, not everything on the menu card was available.
Stray and owner dogs are running freely in restaurant / resort.
amazing view
they have stray dogs running around the property which obviously can be dangerous as they can carry diseases and bite. i lost one of my shoes and hotel management offered no sympathy nor solutions to my situation. instead they simply blamed the dogs and me for leaving the shoes by the door. I planned on wearing my shoes for the expeditions that I’d booked. I resorted to renting shoes for each expedition. overpriced, food can use work, the remote location, the one plug, etc. all the negative things mentioned before about this property are all so so true. overall the place needs investment.
The site is absolutely beautiful. View is breathtaking. Staff was wonderful, special thanks to Tata, Nice and LDG (spelled as it's heard, sorry about that!).Great food at the restaurant. Would recommend anytime. There is no electricity except between 18h and 5am and 10 am to 12h, but it's easy to live with that honestly. The only thing is it gets a little hot around 6am in the room cause the AC stops. Still a very comfy and clean room though!
It's hard to find the resort when you get here because it's far from the road and you can only get there by golf cart. We didn't have a local sim and there is no wifi around the meeting point they give for pickup (McDonald's) so it was impossible to contact them. A kind security guy at vanilla beach helped us and called them for us. But was a little stressful...Also, it's a bit far from everything and it comes with pros and cons. Site is perfect because of that, but after 10pm they close the gate on the way here so you can't get a shuttle and have to walk on the beach to go back. It's 20mins and not that bad, but when the tide is high it's a bit tricky. Didn't find it thaaat bad, but I think it's important to let people know cause it can be hard for some people.
very average for the price that you are being charged I would expect extra facilities the staff though very polite the management could have been more helpful I did not feel that they cared
Everything was spectacular and unforgettable. When we reached the property, our jaws dropped. Bacuit Bay right in front of your eyes. This place was pure paradise. We had originally booked a garden view room, but even we got there we upgraded to a private cottage. Do yourself a favor and get your own cottage. We loved our sweet simple rustic cottage, its view of the beach and incredible sunsets over the bay, right in front of our eyes. The bed was also very comfortable. The cottage was well maintained and cleaned every day. The grounds are also beautiful. The bay with the softest sand and best shell hunting right outside your door. We did the boat trip Tour A booked it with them directly, rented a motorbike for less than $20 a day to explore the other incredible beaches about an hour away (Nacpan and Duli), and rode one there to hike the Kuyawyaw Waterfalls (thanks to the recommendation of Tata who works there), used their kayak to explore the other little islets nearby. We also enjoyed walking to Maremegmeg Beach too and had drinks and dinners there. That walk along the bay is also gorgeous and easy during low tide. Dolarog is also away from the main town so it's quiet and peaceful. But still it's close enough to town if you want to visit. We enjoyed the restaurant there as well! The pancakes and fruit salad were my favorite. And I loved the sinigang and the bolognese. You don't ever have to leave if you don't want to. We fell in love with the staff, too. They are so kind, welcoming, and do their very best by you. Book this place now! We'll never forget it. And we are coming back with friends!
- The location is fairly remote and chill - Amazing sunset view - The stuff is really friendly and helped us a lot- The beach area and the jetty look pretty- The higher priced rooms look good
- Unfortunately we booked an economy room for which we paid about 140 Euro per night. However, the room was very very basic. We only had one(!) plug and no cabinet. The room was clean, but had just wood windows, which did not protect us good against mosquitos coming in. There insect nets infront of the windows, but they were damaged. However, It should be noted that the higher prized rooms looked much much better!:) - There was only electricity between 10-12am.and 6pm and 6am. while this is perfect fine to safe some energy/ money, we would not expect that for the prize range of the hotel. That fact in combination with the mentioned one plug made it also kind of difficult to load some of our devices. - The location is far away from the city area. the resort offers a shuttle until 5pm. after that you have to pay for the shuttle service. - The prizes for food are overpriced whereas the food was „okay“. We found better restaurants in El Nido, which were also cheaper. It seems like that the hotel takes advantage our their „Monopol“ due to remoteness, because it is hard/ expensive to get to other places. - Some pool equipments where kind of oldTo summarize, we enjoyed our stay but for the equipment the currently is overprized. I‘m sure that this accommodation with a little investment from the owners als lower prizes would be a real gem in El Nido! :)
Exclusive beach and amazing scenery of the El Nido Rock formation.
We came with our own car. There was no indication on how to get into the resort. The final stretch of the road was a bit tricky especially after heavy rains.
The beach was beautiful and the local staff were lovely.
So far away, really dark in the room, only one electrical outlet, shower was cold, very thin mattress, breakfast not great. Not worth the money.
We stayed at Dolarog Beach Resort a few weeks ago. In general the beach is very private & beautiful - we had a great time playing in the sand and swimming in the sea with our toddler. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - apart from the waiter which tries very hard, but is completely incompetent/never got proper training…
We were looking forward to swimming in the saltwater pool, unfortunately it’s in very bad shape with a lot of algue.Driving to the resort with your own car (we rented a Toyota) was a complete nightmare - we were lucky that it didn’t rain to heavily during our stay. The roads are extremely steep and only half way paved “because the other property owner doesn’t want to invest” (but why should he if it’s only beneficial for the resort). They provide a (paid!) shuttle in some sort of golf vehicle, but that’s definitely not convenient to sit in there for 20min for an unwanted jungle tour twice a day and definitely not fair to charge for it. They also charge 90 Pesos for ONE piece of bread if you want to complement their (delicious but) tiny breakfast… On top their pricing policy is extremely intransparent - on top of what they indicate in booking.com they charge +15% (or similar) for taxes or something like this. It’s also not possible to transfer the money via booking.com and if you want to pay there with credit card they charge another ridiculous fee… Luckily my husband is half Philippino and was able to transfer via his local bank account, but that’s surely not the case for many tourists. The resort garden is beautiful and very natural, but we heard/saw coconuts dropping several times - a real safety issue as there are palmtrees everywhere…
good view
Everything apart from the view. Inaccessible dirt track that local taxi will not use so you are trapped in the property. overpriced in comparison to other hotels in the area. Leak in ceiling in bedroom, resulting in fall from my partner (told by owner only a little drip and not to cause problems by complaining). Broken leaking toilet hose. No hot water throughout stay. Wooden Steps going to garden broken while walking down them causing me to fall. Pool table old and not fit for purpose. Rusty unusable exercise equipment. no working wifi except for next to the bar (no signal in rooms). Swimming pool dirty (“it’s sea water”…green and dirty when the sea is clear and blue). Facility extremely tired and in need of repairs. Expensive shuttle after 5pm, so once again trapped in a property with no electricity. We checked out as soon as we could get a replacement hotel, however the owner never offered us a discount just pro rata refund for nights not staying in their terrible property. Location is not suitable for anyone who wants to explore the area and is only suitable for people who want to stay away from everything in the dark without power and happiness.
location, location, locationincredible beach and view from the resort, food is good, owner is helpful, golf car available for the pick up and drop off.
pool not really clean/sand in, bedrooms need to be refreshed for the comfort of coming with little- no toothpaste, basin was leaking. You need a motor bike to reach the resort road is quite steep and rocky.
recommended for those seeking a secluded and calm ambiance.the kind, soft spoken, and informative driver cum guide, Mr Toto and the waiter’s, Mr Derek El Nido insights
pricy for an offgrid and unkept amenities / garden.beachfront nothing like for snorkeling.mosquitos abound.
