    Pros +

    • The location is really great, our room was beautiful and comfortable and the staff and service were amazing.
    • It’s thoughtful of guest privacy and is conveniently by the beach front
    • gorgeous property, rooms beautiful, beach immaculate, food and was great and staff was so friendly and accomodating

    Cons -

    • The breakfast buffet options could improve. The restroom in the beachclub was dirty a few of the times I went in.
    • I would appreciate it if there was a closet where we can hang our clothes instead of having it directly on top of coffee station.
    • Level of service is lower than cheaper hotels we went to on this trip. Very slow service for drinks and food. Restaurant is not to very good. Automatic lighting in the room is a pain: lights will turn on everywhere if you go to the bathroom. Curtain will open and AC shut down when a power drop happens.

Perfect location! It’s right infront of a sandbar. Water is very clear, the design is very aesthetically pleasing and sustainable. Staff are amazingly very friendly and attentive to us. Room is very spacious. Lush greenery.

Only 1 restaurant, only 1 menu for lunch and dinner, not so many food choices and some dishes have very thick sauce when not needed like the mixed seafood.

Beautiful location. Food was amazing. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble - very helpful with arranging activities and transport. Very modern aesthetic. Such an amazing beach to watch the sunset.

The view of Nacpan beach is unbeatable and your actual room is amazing. However, for what you pay and the boasted 5 stars… I don’t think it hits the mark. Staff are really hot and cold towards you. You have to pay for every single thing, nothing is cheap, especially compared to everywhere else in Philippines and El Nido. The boat hopping tour is lovely, but they pack you with food that’s hard to carry on to a boat and should NOT be left unrefrigerated (my calamari, chicken and pork were humid and sweaty from the heat). The inland tour is overly expensive and not worth it. The driver is amazing, but there is no guarantee you’ll see what you pay for (I didn’t get to do the zip line, which was the reason i booked the tour). Plus, the tour doesn’t include cost of entrance to anything. It’s very expensive and again, for 5 stars… you do expect a little bit more. It was enjoyable but if ANGKLA wants to keep people coming back, they should try a bit harder in such an environment!

One of the most beautiful hotels we stayed at!! Absolutely stunning and we are already planning to go back. Rooms are spacious and beautiful. The pool views - breathtaking! Staff exceptional

Food was excellent, service was great, 3 options for swimming and loads of space to relax. Spectacular sunset and beautiful beach.

Was not so keen on the DJs sound system. Made the afternoons not so pleasant as just a bit loud and base was very low.

Superb property and well maintained. Very nice beach without the crowd of places closer to El Nido. Road a bit bumpy to reach the place but worth the ride. Restaurant and bar close a bit early (last order 8:30pm). As well breakfast closes a bit early (10:00am) for a holiday resort.

The beach is incredible and the staff is very kind

There is huge potential to have an excellent hotel but right now Id say its rough around the edges. Few things to point out:- Restaurant quality is overall poor- The rooms were clean but the room balcony was disgusting (bird / bat poo everywhere)- the tech in the room is very messy (sensors activate ALL bathroom lights / no possibility of controlling your own bed side lamp)- the main road to the hotel is in a very bad state

Its my second time at angkla and i loved my stay so much!! The room is just wow and i love the location! Its the best hotel in nacpan. Unfortunately a lot of sandflies so watch out!! I will defo come again for the third time. The restaurant is full on lunch time because its open for non guest, but in the evening its less crowded. Helpful staff.Maraming salamat!!!

I loved the people who work very hard to make your stay excellent. Really lovely people. The room is exceptional, great view to the garden which is amazing as well. The food - perfect. Cocktails, desserts, the mains - all super tasty and fresh. Best breakfasts. The beach is outstanding, the sunsets are to die for. It was mum's birthday so the restaurant staff had the cake and happy birthday prepared. I want to come back there even though I never stay twice at the same place. Actually I could live in that room for a year or more.

    I loved everything

The location of the resort is right on the beach, and not just any beach! Nacpan beach is truly stunning. Long walks in either direction along the beach, followed by fantastic sunsets. The rooms of the hotel are superb and very modern. Internet is very good, given the hotel location. The restaurant offers lovely food and varied menu. Staff are great.

If being picky, maybe sunbeds on the beach that recline to a flat bed. Currently they fixed at a 45º angle, so not great of you want to lie flat.

The property itself is small, but very beautiful and serene. It's nestled in the jungle, but also beachfront, so it's very picturesque. Our room was perfect. The digital remote for the curtains didn't work a few times, but that's easily fixable. The breakfast was exceptional. There was a variety of foods available, especially the Filipino options. We came to the Philippines to try all the Filipino food, and I'm glad they had it here. They also had filipino themed cocktails which were amazing. I also loved all of the stray dogs on the beach. They may come up to your table but for the most part, they do not bother you and they also do not bark or jump. They were nice little companions to have around. The staff at the property were also exceptional. They were very friendly and attended to all of your needs. They felt like family. We would 100% stay here again when we come back to El Nido.

This is not really about the property, but mainly more about the beach club service. It was great, however, I'm thinking it's because it's not that popular in the Philippines to continuously come around and take drink/food orders from people at the beach or the pool, like in other beach resorts globally. If they did that, they would definitely make more profit from all the tourists just wanting to have cocktails while laying out. We had service, but it wasn't often. We also noticed other beachgoers looking for a server to take a drink order. Also, the long dirty road to get there is pretty rough. Not sure if there's a way they can just level out the dirt without having to pave it.

Staff were amazing! Really loved the rooms. Lots of swimming options, including the amazing beachside pool.

Didn't realize that the music would be playing constantly during the day, which got on our nerves a bit as we wanted a bit of quiet at some point. Certain items were also not available from the restaurant menu. The guest exclusive pool was not impressive at all and didn't look like it was maintained properly.

Lovely and clean and modern, overlooking a gorgeous beach. Beautiful sunset views.

A little far from El Nido town. But property and staff and food and drinks was all perfect

I absolutely loved the staff! They were super helpful, friendly, and really tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

The beach area was nice, but the sunbeds were a bit of a letdown—they didn’t fully recline, so you were stuck in a semi-sitting position the whole time. Lying on your stomach was only possible if you were under 170cm; any taller, and you'd have to go straight to the sand. The surroundings were incredibly peaceful, but there weren’t any restaurants or dining options nearby. You could find a few modest spots about a 20-minute walk down the beach, though we didn’t try them ourselves. The room was decent but felt a bit worn. The bedsheets weren’t the most comfortable—definitely a low thread count. Power outages happened on and off, which meant the AC would cut out randomly at night, making it unbearably hot for short periods. The restaurant was okay, but I had a funny moment when I asked why the menu listed "chicken breast" when the dish was actually made with chicken thighs (apparently, chicken is just chicken to them ?‍♀️?). Also, there were a lot of stray dogs around, and I caught a few using the bean bags as their personal toilet—definitely not ideal. The staff did their best to gather the covers at night, but with so many dogs around, it was hard to keep up.Another thing to note: the resort allows non-guests to visit during the day, so the restaurant and restrooms can get quite busy.

The location of the resort is astonishing, with one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. That's about it.

The cleanliness of the resort was not up to standard. For instance, the hotel's spa & welness area had cockroaches walking through the floors. For a boutique hotel claimin premium service, this is completely unacceptable. Also, the food services were a complete disaster. The average waiting times were no less than 45-50 mintues. At one point, we ordered a simple green salad and they took over 45 minutes to serve, at a time when the restaurant was absolutely quiet and with very little work. Also, the walls of the hotel room were dirty with mud, and the toilet from the bathroom was disassembled. A complete disaster. Finally, the swimming pool for the guests was permanently disabled and not operational, even though the hotel charged for such services in advance.

Property paths well maintained. Staff friendly and accommodating. Food good. Property clean. Beach clean and very beautiful.

Roads off property difficult to walk on making it difficult to walk to bus stop and into the local community. Road not paved, rocky with holes and pools of red dirty water.
