Good location, just 12 mins from the airport. I enjoyed having a plunge pool.

Horrible check-in process, TERRIBLE food (uneatable for the most part), poor condition of the property. VERY run down and tired. Needs a full gut renovation. Such a disappointment. General Manager Dick S. was useless and should be replaced!

Everything was great. The room with a pool, the restaurant, the beach, the pools. At the top of my budget, but it was worth it, when you want a memorable vacation in paradise.

No, everything was perfect. We had stayed at another location because of the price and regretted not coming here sooner.

Great staff and amenities

Room a bit small for the price. Got much better accommodations at 50% less at another hotel nearby. The beach is busy and full of merchants, pool area is underwhelming. Food is mediocre. It's a great hotel, I just had better at lower price close by

The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the breakfast was very good.

We were shocked to find that the shower and especially the toilet are completely outdoors.From the photos it looked like it's only the bathtub or an outdoor shower, but in reality the entire bathroom has no walls.Even though the "bathroom" is surrounded by the villa’s wall, it’s still right next to the neighboring villas and the street, which felt uncomfortable and not private.The staff tried to add curtains to help, but it didn’t really solve the issue — the villa design is quite strange and just wasn’t suitable for us.

The pool villa was wonderful with full privacy. I like the out door bathroom and shower. Also the welcoming was very nice.

Really liked the cozy and modern vibe.Also the friendliness of all employees. Outstanding service and cleanliness.

Just small things like the room design (huge glass door to enter the bathroom) or that the adults only pool could have some options (in the water) for relaxation.

What makes a hotel a 5 star, in my opinion is mostly level of service, and the service was amazing. I felt like they genuinely cared to make my stay the best possible. My room was great, the grounds are beautiful and well kept. I hardly went out of my room it had everything I wanted.Lived the outdoor shower.I also highly recommend the hotel's spa.

We took the SALA villa one which was amazing for a family . Please note that bathroom and showers are “outside” , we didn’t understand that before coming. The service was outstanding. We loved every moment.

This was hands down the highlight of our honeymoon trip. Everything on all accounts was 5 star. From the staff, to the facilities, to our villa it was all amazing. We got a poolside massage that was also incredible. The breakfast was 4 hours long to accommodate all schedules. There was an app to request things or look at events happening, they were responsive. The Choengmon beach area was quieter which we liked. Their taxi service was actually cheaper than grab and we used it frequently. Everything was so well thought out and amazing, we looked at many other hotels but so glad we decided to go with this one. We were sad to leave!

The Staff. The people there were fantastic.

The doors to the room are paper thin and there were gaps between the door middle area and at the bottom. Bathroom is mostly outside. There are two SALA hotels in Choengmon, I was already in Thiland and contacted the hotel directly but they wouldn't accept my bookinng. Therefore, I went over Booking.com and I had no issues. Don't know why I needed a third party to book this room. The black pool is an awkward space and didn't seem very appealing. The white pool seemed nice but had a lot of kids / families in it.

All the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of options for breakfast and the pool area split nicely between Adults and children.It was easy to walk to the supermarket or restaurants either in the village or along the beachfront. The village is quiet however it is easy to get a taxi to Fisherman's village where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.

There was nothing to dislike

The service, the architecture, the bungalow with pool, the access to the beach and the possibility to take a sup/kajak anytime at no extra costs

Everything was perfect, but if I need to make some critics, then:- The sea in front of the beach had a lot of rocks and algae, due probably to the low tide. - Due to the position of the hotel on the gulf, in the afternoon you have no sun on the beach

We have already stayed here, and had a great time so we returned. The location and the beach are excellent, the facilities very good, and the staff was very friendly. We took tours and enjoyed the activities organized by the hotel. We always got good recommendations and advice. The housekeeping and maintenance were excellent. The food was very good and there was a wide variety. A great place for families, as well as couples. We had a beautiful time!

Everything about the hotel is wonderful. The staff cannot do more for you and make the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. From Check-in to Check out the whole 5 nights we stayed no matter what we needed they were helpful. The a la carte breakfast is amazing and the restaurant also does great meals the rest of the day. The beach bar has fantastic happy hours and the adult only pool is a great touch. Access to beach is direct and wonderful to so easily walk up and down the bay. The garden pool room was large, great outside area and well appointed. Situated 10 min from the airport and about 10-15 min from other tourist attractions was great. Located in a quiet bay right on the beach it’s perfect for a relaxing break

We spent nine nights at Sala Samui Choengmon Beach Resort, drawn by its consistently high ratings not only on Booking.com but also across other travel platforms. While the hotel felt slightly expensive, it delivered exactly what we expected. Highlights included the spacious Sala Pool Villa with a private pool, an excellent breakfast featuring both a buffet and a wide range of à la carte options, two large swimming pools, a beautiful beach, and plenty of available sun beds. Aside from breakfast, we didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant, as there are many great local lunch and dinner spots just a short walk away.

The gym was modest, as is often the case with hotel facilities, but it had everything we needed to complete our workouts.
