Pros +
- Resort is in a great spot on the beach, has all the amenities, clean and pleasant villas, comfortable bed, breakfast ok.
- Location, rooms, hospitality
- The structure is beautiful, the bungalows and the garden are really detailed and accurate. The Thai staff is super kind and gentle.
Cons -
- This resort is primarily elderly couples and families - a lot of things are geared towards this audience. Nothing wrong, just be aware where you wish to be.
- You can’t really go to the beach and swim. The beach is very dirty, as is the sea. You would expect a resort of this standard to clean it every morning. Furthermore, there are not enough sun beds on thebeach or by the pool for all the people staying at the resort. So it is very disappointing to pay so much and not be able to enjoy these services. From 6pm it’s really dangerous to cross the street because of the cars and motorcycles. The person who helps you to cross the street leave early So if you want to go out for dinner or get a massage outside the resort, it's your responsibility, and honestly, it's scary. The last thing I didn't like about the resort is that they charge you a 3,000 baht deposit for each room. And the amount is refunded between 14 and 30 working days later, not immediately when you check out. These are details that really put you off.
- It’s not looks or feel like 5 stars hotel. The premium vila is not spacious and not well-organized. There is no wardrobe in the room. There are always small ants in the room no matter how many times the room is cleaned. The gym is very small, crowded and not equipped as befits a 5-star hotel. The breakfast is very varied and rich, but almost nothing tasty. We had very good experience at 5 stars hotel in Thailand, that was not one of them.

The staff and receptionist were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. Especially Tony who drove us for 4 hours around the island was amazing!
Good location near the fisherman village. Great beach and nice restaurant.

We had a very nice stay at the NH Collection Samui Peace Resort. The hotel is right on the beach, very well maintained, and has a friendly staff
A minor remark is the high chlorine level in the pool.
We love this resort! It's exactly as advertised, the room was very cozy, comfortable (the pillows are AMAZING), and equipped with everything you could need. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and friendly. The nature setting brings a quiet and peaceful vibe while you're in your villa and the bar/restaurant/pool area are fun and lively!
The greenery of the place, they mended their way around nature and it’s absolutely beautiful to see. Rather than remove a tree, they cut holes and made way for it to grow (even within the pathway).
If only the bathrooms were a little more private and a little ventilated, the idea behind them is very nice, but it wasn’t easy to use when my friend and I were both in the room at the same time.
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the exceptional attention to detail that defines this remarkable property. Every thoughtful touch—from premium hair conditioner in the shower to elegant pool flip-flops and stylish beach bags—revealed an unwavering commitment to guest comfort. As honeymooners, we were treated to an array of special surprises and tokens that made our stay truly magical. When we had to depart early for our flight, they thoughtfully prepared a breakfast-to-go—just one example of their anticipatory service excellence. The beachfront and pool experiences transcend ordinary luxury, creating moments of pure bliss. While photos might suggest proximity between bungalows, we were delighted to discover each accommodation offers genuine privacy and strategic positioning within the lush landscape. Our bathroom was immaculately maintained and impressively equipped with every amenity imaginable. The convenience of renting a scooter directly from the hotel allowed us to explore the entire island with ease, while still enjoying the prime location near the vibrant walking street. The breakfast surpassed all others during our month-long Thailand journey, presenting the most diverse and delectable selection we encountered. Their culinary offerings throughout the day were equally outstanding.Happy hour by the pool—with attendants delivering refreshing cocktails directly to us in the water—epitomized the indulgent experience. The surrounding area offers excellent massage venues, diverse dining options, and countless activities, with the enchanting Friday Fisherman's Market just steps away.Truly a dream destination where luxury meets authentic Thai hospitality.
During our visit, we experienced a minor maintenance issue when our air conditioner created some water accumulation on the floor. The resort staff responded with impressive promptness to address the situation, though the unit's age suggests it may be approaching time for replacement to maintain the property's otherwise impeccable standards.Location-wise, the resort enjoys a desirable position that's perfect for guests with scooters (which we highly recommend for exploring the island). While it sits approximately 15 minutes by foot from the walking street, this placement is consistent with all premium resorts in the area, offering a welcome balance of accessibility and tranquility. It's worth noting that as a spacious property offering generous grounds and privacy, the walk from your villa to the resort entrance can take several minutes depending on your accommodation's location within the estate. We found this minor trek through the beautifully landscaped gardens to be quite pleasant, but it's something to consider when planning your comings and goings.
The hotel has very nice facilities and rooms. The staff are attentive and take care of the requests very efficiently. The pool and the beach are very nice.
The location is a bit remote, therefore almost anywhere you will need to take a taxi. The breakfast hours could be extended to 11:00, allowing most people to sleep late after late night out. Currently most of people come at last hour creating quite a mess, with missing tables, stressed staff, mixing orders and an unpleasant atmosphere.Gym, very small, running, cycling and free weights only. The checkout is absolutely a disaster. I am traveling a lot both for business and leisure, I have not seen such a process anywhere. First, they almost push you out, starting with reminding calls, staff asking etc.. You arrive to checkout desk to find out that there is huge amount of people pushed to the desk at the same time with 4 staff members trying to serve them with panic on their faces. You wait about 20 min. with no place to sit down. When you finally get to do the checkout, they tell you that the maintenance didn’t check your room and without their report you can’t checkout, you wait another 10 min. with staff calling maintenance and urging them to check your room and report. Finally, I checked my bill and did a huge mistake. I told them that an hour ago my son order icecream in the pool bar and it’s not on the bill. They could not just add it, they called the pool bar, which had to look for the bill and report it - another 10 min. I was so happy that we are finally done, afraid to ask anything else.
Beautiful hotel well located on the beach, with all the amenities well kept
The design of the hotel, close to fisherman's village by taxi, great beach and pool. the staff is very helpful, a good massage in the hotel, fitness room.
A lot of walking from reception to rooms, upon checkout the reception clerk told me that an umbrella is missing, we took it and left it at reception I didn't like the question, why would I take an umbrella.
Excellent location right by the beach, spotless cleanliness, and very polite, professional staff.
Nothing, everything is very good
Really loved the nice pool, very nice comfy lounge chairs by the pool and on the beach. Steps from the pool to the beach. The water was fairly warm in June but still refreshing. LOVED the close 10 min walking distance to fisherman’s village - market not on Thursday and Saturday night. But every other night it is open (best on Friday). It was so fun and I heard the best one on the island. Location was close to other massage parlors, cafes, laundry right outside the resort. Amazing service from extremely nice staff members. Breakfast was AMAZING I really loved the huge huge fresh variety - American style, also German style, and Thailand style breakfast. Tons of options literally such a good breakfast!
I found that the beds were not very comfortable (room 399). I woke up with shoulder pain every day….. Felt like an old fashioned spring mattress without any topper. I was very surprised how uncomfortable it felt. My husband didn’t notice the uncomfy bed at all… so maybe if you’re not sensitive you’d be fine. The beach sand is nice but not fine white sand. The bedroom bath tub on the balcony (outdoor bathtub) was unusable due to it being so dirty caked with grime. The rest of the room was very clean.
The resort is located close to the lively area of Chaweng but remains calm and peaceful for those looking for it. Staff are incredible and the facilities are great
This may be specific to our room only but there is a frosted glass window between bed and bathroom and a window in the bathroom with no blind so the sun shines directly into your face in the morning making it impossible to sleep in.
One of the best hotels I’ve been to. Amazing staff, me and my husband stayed at the pool suite for our honeymoon and the hotel arranged the whole room really nicely, got us a beautiful cake and champagne. We really enjoyed our stay, made our honeymoon really special. Thank you
I wish the pool suite had a little net or something like that so we could clean our pool by ourselves from bugs and leaves and not to have to call an employee just to clean the pool.
Loved my stay here! The hotel is super beautiful and has everything you need to relax and enjoy. The staff is awesome—always friendly and ready to help!
This side of the island doesn’t have the best beaches, but the vibe is amazing—especially around the walking street and the beaches near Fisherman’s Village.
Everything was perfect.Great value for moneyVery good location, food and staff.
this is the third time at "Peace". I love this place. Every person who works here is a star. I have never felt isolated or without help. The location is close to fisherman's market, so it is excellent. There is a taxi stand outside, so you can book one very conveniently. The breakfast is wonderful. The bar for drinks is great. The pool is a lot of fun and the sea is calm most days, what else could done ask for.
other places I've stayed at, offer free rides into Chawang mall. SO this may be a good idea. Honestly, this place is done right, so not much to complain.
Absolutely loved the pool villas and proximity to the wharf night market.
