Pool, pool bar and beach area

Location could have been better. A taxi was needed to go anywhere outside of hotel. Lacking in evening entertainment. Pool closed early at 7pm.

We had a wonderful stay at the Melati Beach Resort. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who looked after all our needs. The rooms were spotless and the gardens and pool area immaculate. The Thai restaurant served great food and the evening BBQ on the beach was magical.

The fitness center is small and old.

Friendly staff. Clean. Massage at the spa was amazing. Great breakfast. Great service.

Quite remote from everything. Need to drive/taxi everywhere. Beach was wavy on this side of island.

The pool area next to the beach is like not belonging to the resort, different style with many people drinking without stop, seams like cheap tourist thirsty for alcohol… that’s the only reason that would prevent me from going back

Seemed a bit outdated and we were placed in a room that appeared to be over a septic system. Smelled awful. Additionally the porch was a mess with debris and perhaps bird droppings all over.

Stayed at a pool villa for 5 nights so here are my honest views. Perfect for 3 night stays. The surroundings and the environment gives you the perfect peaceful sanctuary vibes as you walk around the resort - 12 out of 10! The pool is great, so are the restaurants but if you are looking for a long stay, then you might start feeling the urge to explore nearby places for food and other 'touristy' things like strolling down the town square etc. The nearest place to experience this is a 20-30 min Grab drive. So if you are looking to escape the daily noise and lounge around for 2-3 days Melati is absolutely great on all fronts. If you are looking for a longer stay, 4 days plus then you might want to look for options closer to the city center. Special mentions: Each and every staff member is super helpful and welcoming! The restaurant by the beach is amazing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Thai restaurant serves ultra delicious food and is super flexible with your requests (we don't take fish sauce). Special mention for the staff there.The happy hours are a treat at both the places. They must add one more restaurant as another option.The beach is absolutely peaceful and gentle waves. They have water sports vendors but it's not noisy and chaotic at all. However, if you are a long walk at the beach kinda person, then you might run out of the beach to walk. The spa is simply okay. You get the same quality massage at 1/4th the price at the city center. Not sure about other services like scrubs and all.The kids club is just a room and too small for 5-8 age group. Hardly anything to mention. Depending on your requirements, you can decide. Overall, we had a very good stay.

Missed one more restaurant. The spa experience is simply ok, had better experiences at other resorts

Just the pool at the unit, for the rest, not 5 star quality on international scale. Staff was friendly.

Actually the stay was disappointing with the property really being dated and not so well maintained. We stayed very far from the beach which was annoying but we were assured it was an adults only area. We had kids playing in the adult pool for 2 of the three days with staff not doing anything about it. Also the unit selected was not the one given to us.

People are always smiling. They are kind and helpful. They are trying to serve you in the best possible way.

There are lizards around. If you are anxious about them please be aware of it. The food and drink quality in the sea view restaurant (the main one next to swimming pool and the sea) was bad and unnecessarily pricey.

The hotel is beautiful, the hotel staff very nice and friendly. The view and the beach also very nice. There's a shuttle from the hotel to chaweng and back twice a day.

The food and drinks at the hotel are very expensive. The quality is OK, but not good value for money. The location is a bit remote so there are not many options for eating out without having to take a taxi. The shuttle from the hotel to and from chaweng is only twice a day at 13 and 16.

We really enjoy our stay here. The villa was so comfy, pool was clean. Every staffs were very helpful. Thank you for your great taking care of us. We have a great memories here ?

Amazing place, fantastic beach, and just all in all a wonderful experience.

No real negatives here. Relatively new hotel so the staff is slowly getting the hang of providing 5-star services. But overall, an exceptional stay.

Very nice layout of the property with beautiful garden scape two nice pools and nice stretch of beach. Large rooms. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast buffet with great selection and some daily variation. Good mix of guests.

Although clean and well maintained, buildings and fittings show their age. Resort needs to bring them up to current standards and style. Biggest practical impediment: poor room lighting and no reading light. Location is a bit remote. Next village is about 30 min walk away.

The property is incredible. Beautifully kept lush gardens even with its own little herb garden. Choice of family or adults only pools. The restaurants are fabulous and the rooms very very spacious. Great little touches like the nightly turn down and welcome drink.

Location next to ocean great, although a bit further from town than what some of us prefer. Breakfast and other food very good. Staff excellent.

Spa prices too expensive. Upper pool not appealing and could be made better. It would be nice to have somewhere air conditioned where families and friends can meet to play cards or just sit around a table and have a drink etc.

We originally booked the Grand Deluxe room, however this room had only one window and felt very dark. The "terracce" was without seatings or furnitures, which was quite a problem for us especially in the evenings, where the kids should sleep inside. We needed to find a solution and therefore had to pay an extra amount to ugrade the room to a pool Villa. This was the best decision and we really enjoyed the outside area, pool and seating. Would expect a better service from the hotel in this process. The breakfast was amazing. The room and bed was very nice. The pool and beach was also very nice. The Thai Restaurant near lobby was amazing, however very pricy. Free shuttle bus to Chaweng was nice. Golf Buggys from rooms to beach was nice.

The welcome issues as mentioned above. No restaurants in walking distance and very pricy restaurants at the hotel. Distance from room to pool and beach was very far with two small kids. We used the buggy service sometimes, but was still a bit annoying.
