Kotohira Park Hotel

The staff I spoke with were very kind and willing to bridge the language gap. My room was super clean and comfortable, I slept well. The breakfast was a great start to the next day and the breakfast server was particularly attentive. I only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay longer.

Breakfast really good for the price - buffet with good Japanese and western options. Really nice and helpful staff. Next door is combini and opposite is a big supermarket (but lacks a lot of hot food options) (there’s a microwave in the hotel lobby though). I arrived at around 6pm and there were probably 2-3 carparks left, when I went to get something around 7:30pm it was full. They do have 2 other carparks a few mins walk away though; all free. It was only a 3 min drive to the Times Carpark (recommended by people on Google) to start the walk up the stairs to temples. Google says it’s a 15 min walk to the start of the stairs but when the weather felt like -6degrees (mid Feb) I was glad to drive.

Bad soundproofing - Walls were so thin I could hear the guy next door snoring, I guess that meant he could hear my hairdryer which I guess you’ll read about soon (sorry :( ) noise from corridor was also really loud.

Very specious and clean room. I also like the share kitchen. The massage was great!

The onsen is very small.

Parking was free. Beds were comfortable. Staff very helpful.

Smallest toilet I have ever used in a cramped bathroom.

Location is good, 10 mins walking from train station with a supermarket nearby. With bike to rent and shared bath

Cleanliness - hair found in the toilet though overall condition is fine, this can be improved.

Bed was uncomfortable - felt the springs. Stayed in a single room due to no family rooms available (family room bed more comfortable when we stayed for one night)

Nice room. Bit small. Bathroom very small. Hotel bit out of the city center. Would recommend to take a taxi if you arrive by train with a lot of luggage. Big supermarket just outside.

The location is convenient and free parking is a plus!! It’s next to Lawson and opposite to a supermarket.

For the price that we paid, we were getting excellent value. The room had everything that we needed. The breakfast was rather extensive, Japanese styled. Parking was easy.

Too expensive far from city

Location was great for visiting the temples. Room was lovely and comfortable amd was nice to have a shared area too. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice and very tasty. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.

the location is a bit far from the JR station but very close to the airport bus stop , very convenient for the last day before you head to airport , we lilke the onsen, the massage service

I like the onsen and massage the laundry , and also it is convenient to have the supermarket opposite to the hotel and lawson convenient store next to the hotel and the bus stop for airport bus to Takamatsu

The hotel provided good services and the facilities are excellent especially we liked shared lounge and kitchen.

Not we didn’t like but a kind of extra request…Thank you for the public bath but it is even better if the bath was a bit bigger.
