It was cheap, good location near downtown

Noise from outside and other rooms was loud. Hard to sleep even 2 and 3 in the morning.

Central location and kind helpful staff

Buffet was mid and there is no aircon in the rooms which made them quite stuffy

The staff gave good advice about parking.The public bathroom is very good. We got a room on the same floor as the bathroom.(I am an ONSEN Lover)Water from the tap is drinkable, is the best part i love it.

I liked the location and backdoor entrance on main Street of marugame. Quiet and clean neighborhood with a nearby convinced store that opens 24 hours. Just about the right walking distance to JR station. Staff are very accommodating and professional. They received my Amazon delivery and mentioned it to me when I checked in without me asking about it. Would repeat.

Hard to find any fault except one, no working AC. It was an unexpectedly warm day and not having AC in my room and getting thru night with a permanently locked window were not too pleasant.

Location and neatness

They did not allow to check in a bit early, very strict on checkin timing

very close to the station, has a number of nice cafes around, the room is clean and comfy, breakfast has a really good selection as well

Good location to the station and the castle. Rooms are typical buisness hotel, so clean and small.

Clerks were pretty abrasive when I tried to do some work in the restuarant and lobby while charging my computer. I guess it wasn't allowed but there was probably a more nice way of telling me.

The room was clean and had everything I needed. The rooftop onsen is a great bonus!

Staff were pretty strict on the 3pm check in. But that was clearly stated.

There are 2 entrances to the hotel: 1 on the main street that leads to the restaurant of the hotel and the main entrance on a perpendicular street. It can be confusing.

I got an upgrade to a larger room for free.The staff was very friendly.It's close enough to the Station to go by foot. The bathroom was really nice.

Interieur a bit old.The cleaning staff nearly walked in on me butt naked at 9am. They don't seem to know which rooms are occupiedI think there was an indian Restaurant in the ground floor, this caused the whole hotel to intensely smell like curry as soon as you enter, bit funny. Public bath was to hot, even the japanese said "めちゃ暑い!!" and left after 2min.

Location was good, room was clean and comfortable.

WiFi was not good, as I was not able to back up any photos to the cloud during my stay.

My room was upgraded for free. The room was wide and bath tub is bigger than the usual bath tub in other Japanese hotels I've stayed at.

Entrance to the hotel was quite confusing. The sign posted on the back door facing the main street was only in Japanese.

Great spa at the top floor, laundry on site and convenient location. Staff is very helpful and polite.

Original room wasn’t the cleanest, however after notifying the staff I was placed in a *much* nicer room. So, the staff is certainly attentive and helpful. (Thank you!)

Staff tried to help.

The window was not doubled, so the loud sound from a close by bar went throughout the night. At one poont I had to ask for a room change, but still could hear the noise from the new room. Also the room had cockroach, which I just can not tolerate and bed bugs. Also, the elevator was very slow causing a long wait each time.

I enjoyed the public bath facilities and this was an overall low cost option to stay near Marugame station. There are a few food options that were conveniently near the hotel and the area was mostly quiet.

The room was clean enough but the bathroom would smell like cigarette smoke if I did not turn on the exhaust fan. Taking a wrong turn down a stairwell led me to a very shabby and seemingly unused part of the hotel. Lots of stray cats that made loud noises during the nights.

Beware parking charges

The check-in staff gave wrong information about the parking charges which resulted in additional charges, and the manager did not provide any remediation action.

Good staff, clean facilities and excellent value for money. A little distant from the station.

Big rooms, very nice and helpful staff, close to train station, to shopping, restaurants and castle. Nice public bath.

Nothing really. There was some dirt in the elevator in the evening, it promptly dissapeared by the next morning. Perhaps that the bar is not open outside breakfast hours, it would be nice to be able to get a drink, but that's it.
