Location right across from the station was nice. Room was clean and comfortable and the price was very good. Getting doused by cold water from the ceiling mounted shower head when I was just expecting water to come out of the wand was a new experience. (I didn't notice there was a "rain shower" head installed,)

The breakfast seating area was super crowded.

Reception staff was not service oriented. We arrived late evening and we parked in the hotel parking lot. Wife needed help with 2 kids and baggage as I was instructed to shift the car (from a reserved lot). I asked if we could leave the stuff upstairs and come back to shift the car immediately. Got a zero-empathy "No". It's important to understand why people make requests.

The breakfast was normal for Japanese hotel. The facility was insufficient to accommodate all visitors when the hotel is fully booked. Nevertheless there was a option to bring your breakfast to your room that I learn later - very convenient.

Across the road from the station, lovely staff and room. Free Udon noodles at dinner time and free breakfast. Luggage storage on check out while we did more exploring. Great facilities.

Nothing really

We used the hotel as a transit to Matsue, having spent a week in Shikoku so it was perfectly located. The view is of other buildings however OK from 8th floor. The chance to have take out breakfast (to room) was good. Got very crowded downstairs when went to collect the breakfast (hence why we chose to take it away) as the lobby also acts as the eating areas, waiting area and luggage storage area / check in. Affordable. On the dislike or suggestion side - compact spaces could be better made use of if they added small things like shelving in vacant space in room, made beds a little narrower when there a twins so you can actually open moderate sized luggage and walk past each other. Ours was 15sqm and there could be better use of space generally. Typical business hotel however (we’ve seen a few in 10 Japan visits).

Very convenient location, right opposite train station. East self check in. Hotel provides free udon at night and breakfast in morning.

Basic amenities and the best value for money. Our twin room was comfortable even though it was a little bit small to find the spot to put 2 luggages on. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was self controlled, bathroom had good flow of water, staffs were very helpful and welcoming full of Japanese hospitality. Breakfast was simple. The location was the best for us who used public transportation mainly on our trip. It is simple business hotel but clean and has good customer services.

For this price we had no complaints.

The free breakfast is good, a lot of variety of Japanese breakfast. The location is just next to Marugame Station. The check in and check out process is automated and fast. The view from our room in 14th floor is really beautiful since we can enjoy the panorama of the city of Marugame with mountain and sea background, and also the Seto Chashi Bridge which across the sea from Shikoku island to Honshu island.

The bed is quite hard, not really comfortable.

The breakfast was by far the best part--a full Japanese buffet and a few Western options as well. (It did get crowded.) Everything was clean and the room was fine except for the bed (see below).

Check-in was at a kiosk which felt impersonal. The staff gave me instant coffee for the first night, which was good, but the second morning at 4 am I realized I hadn't gotten more coffee and when I went down to the lobby, first the desk clerk couldn't understand my request (I did try in my bad Japanese; eventually we resorted to his iPad) but then simply refused to give me any more coffee, saying I had to wait until breakfast opened at 6. I resorted to the cold coffee from the vending machines but it seemed outrageous that they wouldn't give me more instant coffee for the room. The bed was hard as a rock.

Eveything was fine.

The location is super convenient being right in front of the station. The rooms and common areas were very clean. They also provide a free breakfast which is a rarity in Japan. This is my fourth stay at this location of this hotel and I will certainly be back again.

There aren’t that many restaurants in the area so you may need to walk a bit if you want to eat out.

An excellent business hotel with all the usual features (clean, comfortable western-style bed, shower/hot bath and laundromat) plus free noodles at dinner time and a free breakfast which gave it a business hotel/hostel combo as everyone was in the dining area chatting, especially at dinnertime.

Location was excellent- just across from the station. The communal eating area had lots of vending machines plus a microwave where you could heat your own food. When we visited they were serving tasty local-style udon for free in the evening! Staff were super conscientious. An excellent stay?
