Vang Vieng Romantic Resort

I absolutely loved the location calm and peaceful, much better than the busy city center. Even though it's just 1.9 km away, being on the other side of the river felt like a completely different world. Truly amazing.The bikes provided by the hotel were professional and very easy to ride. They also offer great motorbikes, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable.I booked a hot air balloon tour through the hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience with my family. They offer many other tours as well, but unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time due to my flight schedule.

My stay at this resort was truly unforgettable. The pool was large, spotlessly clean, and swimming while enjoying the breathtaking mountain views was pure relaxation.Breakfast was fresh, warm, and delivered right to my room exactly on time such a thoughtful touch. The resort’s private tuk-tuk service took me to some of the most beautiful places in Vang Vieng. The staff clearly cared about making my trip enjoyable, always recommending great things to do and places to explore.This was the first time I felt the staff truly understood what I needed. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable, which made it easy for me to work without any issues.

The location was beautiful but a bit remote (and in no way made up for all the issues).

We had been staying largely in hostels throughout our trip but decided to upgrade to something a nicer for a couple of nights because it was my birthday. BIG MISTAKE - the hotel was noticeably worse (and more expensive) than the other places we stayed in.We arrived and were given a room that was still under rennovation. There were holes in the ceiling (we could see the other side clearly, the biggest hole was bigger than a human fist), the bedsheets had brown stains on them and there was no window (this was true of all rooms). This room was clearly not ready for guests, so the next morning (before we could say anything) they offered to move us. The second room we got, although finished (no holes at least), also had no window, stained sheets and this time the shower was broken.Finally, although there is a pool, at the time it had no purification system, chlorine or any other cleaning mechanism. This looked like it was en track to be built as there were tools and parts lying around, but when we went it was just stagnant water, which given the associated risks should probably not have been open...

Room with no window. No shadow area to stay at the pool. Toilet had bad smells all the time. The service is just a hotel not a resort.

The views are beautiful but there is no window in the room to enjoy them.

Nobody at the hotel spoke English except one receptionist the morning after we arrived.We had booked a riverfront dinner with the hotel because we were arriving late in the evening. However, when we arrived only the owner was there, drunk with a group of friends and did not speak a word of english and did not even try to use a translator. They completely ignored our reminder of the dinner so in the end we had to ask to rent a motorbike (the hotel is in the middle of nowhere) to go and look for a place to have dinner. We were given a motorbike with no fuel and no helmets. We had to insist that we could not drive and we were not given the helmets until the following morning. The room has no window!! So you're stuck in a cave. The juices at breakfast were disgusting. There were no towels in the room when we arrived so we could not have a shower, and since nobody spoke English we had to request them through the booking app and received them 2 hours later after insisting once again. The road to get to the hotel is so narrow that taxis and tuk tuks don't go inside so you have to walk in the dark to get there with all your luggage. Definitely the worst hotel I've ever been to in all of southeast Asia. The good opinions this hotel has are clearly fake, do not go, it's a scam.

The view is stunning, the pool is great. Breakfast served daily on the balcony. The room is large and serviced daily, the staff and especially the lady on reception are an absolute credit.

It is a 20 minute walk from the town center on the other side of the river, but not a criticism of the hotel. Being that little further away leads to peace

The location was lovely. Away from the busy central town. The view of the rice paddies the mountains all very beautiful. The rooms were spacious and very clean.

The hotel is still being developed so there's constructions in many places. The swimming pool was not covered and has very slippery surfaces. During the day the tile by the pool is very very hot.

However, after staying here, I found there was absolutely no problem with it! The hotel offers convenient transportation services, which made getting around easy. Plus, I discovered that many attractions are just a 10-minute walk away. I really enjoyed the peaceful and quiet surroundings, making it a perfect place to relax. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a calm and serene stay!

The location was stunning overlooking the mountains/ The managers were really lovely and happy to help out in any way. It is across the river from the town centre which I also loved and the pool was really nice.

The breakfasts were a bit hit and miss - I never really got quite what I asked for! I booked my bus to Vientiane through reception and when I got on the bus I asked everyone how much their tickets were - literally everyone paid half what I did for the hotel pickup/van ride so do your bookings yourself!

The owner of the resort, God help you if you need her understanding, a cold type of person who is only interested in money, if it comes in front of customer satisfaction, then only the money interesting her.At the time of payment, it was not possible to pay with a credit card, so I withdraw several time money in local currency from the bank machine in the city. When I came to pay, she claimed that the calculation based in dollars and took a much higher exchange rate. No matter how much we explained that we paid a lot of fees in bank withdrawals and our desire to reach a middle solution, she was only interested in the money. Of course in booking the price that was show in local currency was lower because it was translated according to a reasonable exchange rate. She also did not present any link or document that substantiates the exchange rate she took. Really disgusting attitude, not something you expect to get from the owner property. The low score is only because of her, a five minute experience with her hurt the whole week we were there. Besides her the other staff team are great, we really liked them.

Difficult to access, even tuk tuk refused to go down the road during torrential rain, so we had to walk down a path with all of our luggage. The rooms are hideously dirty and the ceiling is riddled with holes that leak during rain. There are no windows to the rooms. It is just a plain white box with leaky moldy roofs. The toilet smells and the lids are broken. The shower has little pressure. The price is *insane* when compared to the value you can get at a more central location. Book elsewhere.

Rooms have no windows, are not particularly clean and are barely furnished (only one bedside table, very few sockets), there are lots of unfinished works around making the otherwise stunning view much less enjoyable, most reviews online are likely fake

The breakfast was good and there were a variety of options. The staff was so, so, so lovely and will take excellent care of you—like you are family. They were able to help with booking transportation and activities at very reasonable prices. The view from the hotel and pool is absolutely stunning. My room was quiet and clean and the area seemed less hectic than the city center.

It was a a bit of a walk to the city center for someone wanting nightlife but not bad at all and perfect for a relaxing stay! It’s also easy to get a quick tuktuk back from the town at night so the location isn’t bad at all—just depends on what you are looking for.

Lovely accommodation with countryside views. The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. Especially on our last day when we had a late train they were very accommodating. We really appreciated it

The breakfast every morning was beautiful. Prepared on time and right outside your room with a nice view. Staff were kind and helpful.

They seemed unaware of our booking upon arrival, which was fine, but when we got to the room, it didn't look like the pictures. The sink and bidet were leaking, and there were blood stains on the bed that didn't seem recently washed. The place was hard to reach—avoid if you have a lot of luggage as cars cannot drive to the entrance. We wanted to rent a motorbike, but the location was too far to walk to a nearby rental place, so we asked the receptionist. We got overcharged for fuel and had to refuel at a petrol station anyway, costing us twice the price. Everything had to be paid in cash, even though Booking.com stated "cash is not allowed," so we assumed it would be a card payment and didn't prepare enough cash for the rest of our trip because of this. There was construction everywhere, which ruined the vibe. This place is nice, and I understand the other reviews, but there are other places in Vang Vieng where you can spend the same amount of money for a better hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff who organised our balloon ride, motorbike and tuk tuks. Beautiful big room and bathroom with breakfast served on the balcony each morning overlooking the sparkling pool , farmland and awesomemountain views. Watched the balloons float overhead from the pool ! Magical! Would definitely recommend ?

What did we like? Absolutely everything!Location, room, breakfast, bike hire, station pick-up, swimming pool, all were at least equal to expectations. The staff, however, were the epitome of good, friendly service, and completely outshone all our aspects of an amazing stay.

There was a small problem for the taxi driver to find the hotel at first. However, that this location is hidden down a small road actually serves to its benefit: those karst mountain and rural scenes away from the road were just what we didn't know we needed!

Big room and good location. Breakfast was good. . I would stay here again if I come back to vangvieng.
