Mapakada Village

The food was great and the property was beautiful. Nice little pool that my kids enjoyed. What really stood out was the staff. They stopped to visit and check on us whenever they saw us. Genuinely wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay again.

Nothing stood out as a negative.

Based on a lovely location with great views of the lake. The open nature of the property allowed for wildlife including elephants to roam freely without any intimidation to the guests.

Beautiful location land access to incredible wildlife viewing! But what makes it even more special is the incredible service from the staff. They go above and beyond in everything! Usha, took us out on a sunset bird watching tour and was just fantastic. Stay here.

Breakfast was excellent, we had dinner and staff were adorable. Management cares a lot about the hospitality and makes sure that guests are well attended

● The minimum parking space in front of the hotel accommodates 5-6 vehicles. ● Was it difficult to find the location on the first visit?

The breakfast on the boat while we were rowed around the Lake Makapady. Saw various birds like Eagles, Kingfisher, Cranes, Egrets .

Could have had more light in the room.

Close to the city centre

- no clean bed sheets anywhere. Asked for a change of sheets which were also dirty.- no clean towels. I used one side of the replacement towel as that was also dirty and unwashed- bed bugs. Hotel staff claimed they came in when windows were opened which I had not done.- cockroaches in the dining area downstairs- no disability access- no toilet rolls in the communal toilets. We needed to ask for this- fabric on furnishings were horrible with mould

This hotel is located on the edge of huge lake, the setting is stunning. Hotel is clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast really good. Staff lovely.

Hotel caters for events, so maybe check if there is anything going on before you book. We loved the music and everyone dancing was great fun but may not be everyone's choice

Clean and with great facilities. The staff was friendly and extemely helpful with all our requests. Breakfast is delicious and worth it.

When travelling with a baby, it's difficult to navigate without a lift for upper floors.

The hotel is located next to the lake. The staff were excellent. Did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They also arranged a taxi for us he was great. The food was mainly local and delicious. The overall hotel architecture was well designed and maintained with attention to detail. We will certainly come back here when we come to this area again.

Amazing Location near the lake and so many extra activities like Kayaking and boating.

I like the location out of city & on water setting, a tank as reservoirs are called in Sri Lanka

The room, the ac was making a lot of noise, it wasn’t super clean. The rooms and restaurant really need a update!

Hotel in great location bordering to Mapakada lake. Atmosphere is outstanding. Staff is excellent. Yasiru and the team was so friendly and always ready to help. Try the boat ride in the evening u r lucky, you will see wild elephants in the other side of the lake which is a wonderful experience.

Birds kept in the cage doesn't go with the overall natural beauty hotel offers.

Of the 10 hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka, this is one of the hotels that gave us the least satisfaction.
