Super Hotel Gotemba 1

Outstanding staff - extremely friendly and always willing to help. In one instance, the manager went out of his way to make a reservation that I wouldn¿t have been able to do on my own. Very clean, good breakfast, nice amenities.

Rooms are on the small side.

I loved the onsen. Clean and great temperature. Provided laundry detergent was a plus!

The room has a perfect view of Mt. Fuji. Upon check-in, we were offered a welcome drink. The room uses a key code system, which is very convenient since you don’t need to carry a key card or physical key when going out. There’s a laundromat area, and the dryer is free of charge. Vending machines are also available. Our favorite feature is the onsen, male and female guests take turns using it. The breakfast selection is generous, and everything is delicious. Overall, the facilities are excellent. The staff are very friendly and speak English well.

It is quite far from the station and Gotemba Premium Outlets. The best option is to walk to Tomei Gotemba, where you can take the free shuttle bus to Gotemba Station or Gotemba Outlets.

The bed was fairly comfy and if you get a clear day, you will see the mountain. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast selection was poor and the bathroom is very small. Not much to do in the local area and it is right by a busy main road. The guy at reception was not so helpful. I would avoid this area unless you have other activities planned, as the town is nothing special. Plus, it is quite a long walk to the train station.

1. Very small room which cannot have more than 1 big luggage if you want to move comfortably within the room.2. No free bottled water.3. Limited breakfast but decent and tasty.

The convenience shop was within walking distance, and the staff were incredibly helpful. I was looking for a place to buy a wheelchair, but it seemed that the area wasn’t convenient for finding one. The staff kindly suggested ordering it online and even offered to help collect the goods on my behalf. Their assistance truly made a difference

The service was exceptional. The hostess called a cab for me and my friends to Fuji and let us leave our luggage after checking out. Staff was kind, they spoke English, even though I tried talking to them in Japanese.

Helpful staff, practical hotel for a night, easy checkout.

The way the bed was made where you easily lie against the over blanket which is not cleaned every time.

Hotel is nice and clean, with great view of Fujiyama. They offer bunk bed with a double bed which is nice. They also have welcome drinks including wine but stopped too early.

I have a family of 3 kids, including a young child. I booked 2 rooms, both with bunk beds, but booking.com does not allow me to put in 1 adults and 2 children in a single room, so I booked as 1 adult and 1 child in each room. When I arrived, the duty manager doesn’t seem to be happy. He allowed me to stay but kept insisting that the rooms are only for max of 2. His attitude is unfriendly and I had the impression that he is not happy about me bringing the 3rd person in the room. Question to the hotel. With 2 adults and 3 young kids, how do you expect me to split? If you can take more than 2, why have rooms with additional bunk beds? The hotel manager should have been more flexible and friendly. Spoilt my stay at the hotel.

Clean and friendly staff.

The location is a 20 minute walk from the train station and the shopping outlets. Not many restaurants nearby, except a McDonalds and a good Korean bbq.

Location was quite good, views if you get a Mt Fuji view were terrific.Breakfast wasn't to my liking but appeared ample.Hot Bath's were lovely.Staff were very helpful.

Room is exceptionally small, not really room to put our 2 small/medium bags and while clean and effective the bathroom was a pre fab module that you have to step 1/2 metre to get into and out of

The onsen need some running water

The lobby decor was modern. They let you choose 5 free “gifts” but, just for women.

Not the best value for money. Basically a chain business hotel but slightly more expensive. Breakfast was rated well, but well below average.

Hotel location is good. They offer good breakfast.

I wish the hotel staff gave as a better room. My husband is an American and they gave us a bed with a loft. A single room which our friends stay is more convenient.

Great location. Worth it for the view. Comfortable room. Cosy size but perfect for one night. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend.
