The setting is beautiful. The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Recommend reserving the room with private onsen. So nice to wake early in the morning and enjoy a quiet & peaceful time in own onsen. River sounds are relaxing.

Loved everything!

Good location and I enjoyed the Onsen, wich was nice (but not spectacular). I really enjoyed the private Onsen which you see in all the pictures. Don’t mistake this as in your room, you have to book and pay for it separately but it is worth it. Also the breakfast was outstanding. Overall I enjoyed my experience and I would go again if it was a better price. You will have a good stay here, I did, but lower your expectations and be surprised.

I don’t think the price reflects what you get. Although I enjoyed my stay and time, it is a little dated and worn. Also there is no place to get food or a drink (alcoholic) unless you book the pre fix dinner and it’s impossible to get a spot. Then when I asked for suggestions they were not helpful at all, so do some research ahead of time. I did t find the service overly helpful and had to figure out how too get to the hotel myself (I asked them and no one responded). There is a shuttle but it’s too full most of the time so you can’t get on it (it stops at other locations). Lastly, the view isn’t what they show on the site, you look at a parking lot. You still get some nature and the location is good but don’t expect to be looking at the forest.

Breakfast buffet was fantastic.

Initial Room had a strong odor- asked to change it but was told it would cost money to do so. After pushing back was offered a room next to the other one which was slightly better smell wise but definitely weathered looking. Other rooms looked better and had been renovated.

Huge clean room, nice staff, wonderful onsen, rich and delicious breakfast, all bathing needs provided, beautiful views.

beautiful hotel and location. very kind service. The room was big and very well equipped. The public Onsen was great and the in-room bath is also a kind of an Onsen. We choose a river side room which gives you the feeling of staying on the river bank.

This room was larger than other Hotel rooms we visited in Japan. Very clean with all the toiletries needed for several days. The buffet breakfast had items for every taste, also very clean and well organized. The lobby had nice comfortable seating with refreshments to enjoy while we waited for our 3:00pm check-in.

This was a perfect stay for us, nothing could have been better.

The private onsen and in room onsen

The hotel had a musty smell. The breakfast had little variety. The room had a view of the river but also the garage.

The breakfast was to die for, great Japanese experience! Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff was very attentive, they set up the futon bed for us at the time promised. We were welcomed with a small set of manjus and tea. As many hotels in Japan, they offered slippers but you also get a yukata (robe and all) to wear while in the hotel. The reception area offers free coffee/tea and some popsicles. The private onsen was great since some of us have tattoos and wanted to have all family members together.

It was somewhat removed from the main town area so not too convenient if you want to keep going back to the station area to eat or go shopping, and a final stretch to the hotel was a little steep to carry luggage with an elderly member of our family (we still made it!) - so probably not an issue for most travelers.

Facilities and onsen was good. Food was excellent, we had the dinner and breakfast there.

It's a bit of a walk from train station to reach the hotel but very scenic views along the way.

The room was beautiful and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The view of the river and mountains was nice to look at from our window.The kaiseki dinner was fantastic with very fresh ingredients.We tried all of the public onsens on the 5th floor and were very satisfied with all of them, especially the outdoor rock one with the cool morning air.

The onsen was lovely, appreciated the massage chair too. The buffet breakfast was good value. Loved the view over river

I like how quiet the hotel is and they have great breakfast selection.

When I was checking in at night the staff was not very friendly.

Facilities are clean and very organized. Public spring is very good. Breakfast is delicious and well served.

Carpets seem old. Staff needs English training. There was a little smell when entering in room but I am not sure whether that’s due to wood structure.

Location fine for day trips in the surrounding area. Breakfast buffet is good.

The hotel is very old and does not look like the pictures. It smells weird in the hallways and the facilities are very old. The onsen is on the rooftop. We had the riverside view, on the opposite site there is a carpark. The half open tub is very small. The price is way to high for this accomodation.

Overpriced

The private hot spring is half open to outside with facing to a dark mount. You get fresh air while you are sitting in the hot spring and sweating.
