Kai Bae Beach Resort Koh Chang

New, clean, right on the beach. Wonderful & cheerful staff, great breakfast.

The beach itself is relatively narrow and almost nonexistent at high tide. But it was not a big problem, as the water itself was phenomenal.

It was the best hotel in my life

The breakfast was excellent

The first beach resort I’ve ever been to they did not have Chase lounges for the guests on the beach. At high tide there was only about 10 feet of Beach.

This is a very nice property in a great location that is walkable to lots of fun bars and restaurants. Breakfast is great. Our room was stunning. We splurged for a beachfront room and the view and room were fantastic. However, we could not enjoy the room we had paid for because a group of guests continued to park themselves at the end of our terrace every day, all day long and smoke cigarettes and cigars continually. We asked them if they could not do that right there as it was literally making our room an ashtray. We spoke to management and they are aware of the situation. It is very unfortunate as it really ruined our experience. We could have paid much less for a non beachfront room and had a much better experience. This is certainly an issue that the property needs to address.

Management did not deal with our issue. I feel bad having to write this review but hopefully I can prevent this happening to others.

Nice location, good swimming pool and nice beach. Very kind staff.

Very “classic” large resort. Breakfast area looked very much like a business hotel. Quite a lot of rooms. We stayed just one night and wouldn’t have stayed longer.

Beach, close to walking around.

Being next to smokers at our pool access. Should have section for rooms away from smokers. Could not sit out very long.

Breakfast was much better since our last visit. However, I felt the staff was not as kind.

I was under the impression there was a pool for adults and one for kids, but that was not the case. I did not appreciate screaming kids and babbling parents right beside our pool access room.

Staff were very kind and helpful. Helped with scooter rental and some extra matress for the hard bed.

It was sad that people from outside the hotel could not buy breakfast from our hotel. My sister was not even allowed to try the breakfast with my coupon when I was not hungry. If people do tours I recommend to stay in a hotel where your friends are welcome to pay and join you for breakfast or coffee before the tour for example.

The staff were all wonderful. The breakfast and dinner was very good.

I did not like that it seemed to be a family place. No nice breakfast viewing the water. Noviembre From my rooftop of the water. The batheoon sink and miror was too short for anyone over 5 ft tall

Great location, very nice pool and pool access room. Good breakfast.

No sheer curtains for the room, you can only close the regular curtains and be without light. Weak water flow in the shower.

Beautiful beach but a few stones

Great location and nice clean rooms. Super friendly staff and nice secluded beach. They manage to keep the rooms well ventilated.

The razor sharp rocks on parts of the beach. Don't run into the water without checking first.

Excellent location just at end of Main Street with restaurants bars 7/11 and many food places within few minutes. Right on beach with wonderful large pool. Clean large rooms and comfy bed with balcony overlooking pool. Excellent breakfast with changing choices.

Location - beautiful beach and sunset. Lovely pool.Great food in he resort but also a few minutes walk away in the main street - lots of options.

Garden View - was a view of a hedge. May be worth spending a little extra for the beach front villas. But equally not really a negative as barely spent any time in our room. No twin option available for our teens so had to pay extra for the room to sleep 3!

The facilities and location is beautiful but the staff are so miserable and slow at service. This is whatever’s the hotel down. If the staff were better looked after perhaps they would be happier to help.

Lovely resort located in the best part of the island, close to great bars and restaurants. We had a sea view room, was spacious with an amazing view of the ocean and good balcony. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

Hotel, Staff & Facilities were excellent. Room was super quiet and comfortable. Cleaned to a high standard each day. Literall on the beautiful Kai Bae beach. I didn't try breakfast, so can't comment. Would stay here again for sure!
