Serenity Resort Koh Chang

Fantastic place. The villas were really good quality - rooms, pool, jacuzzi, recreational areas - everything just like on the pictures, zero disappointment. Staff was very friendly. The restaurant offered great quality food and good selection of drinks which we all loved.

It's a bit far from everything, also the ferry shuttle doesn't reach there, so you need to rent a bike or use an expensive taxi service (costs 500 baht to get to the town). The beach isn't great, the water is muddy and there are usually waves. When we were there, the weather on this side of the island was freakish with some rain and wind; on the other side of the island it was more sunny and calm.

I was working on Koh Chang and stayed for 1 night the resort is very well kept clean and friendly. the food was excellent. i will be back. i would recommend a bike or car to get around as the resort is on the quieter East Coast

Gorgeous beachfront location which was quiet. Lovely pool and use of paddleboards and kayaks on the beach. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Food on site was varied and delicious.

Everything it’s name suggests. Serenity is located on the quiet side of the island which is incredibly beautiful, if a little remote but perfectly manageable with a taxi or mopedPlenty of space, BEST food on the island, no bar music, wonderful sunrises, free SUP’s and super friendly staff

This place is really pretty. The rooms are like mini villas. Staff are really friendly too. It’s right on the shore, not a beach as such but the water is there ??

It’s nowhere near anything else, but it’s close to the ferry port ??. For me, the base price, around £60 a night, is pretty top scale for Koh Chang, and needs to include breakfast. I stayed in a different place on Koh Chang too, perfect location, £20 a night with the most amazing breakfast included! I think maybe the staff bill is too high, cos there’s loads! ??‍♀️

Everything was perfect for us

Pretty, well maintained, quiet and well managed resort The owner and staff couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming…can’t wait to go back!

We had a lovely stay at the Serenity Resort. It’s a small and cosy place in the Northern part of the island. Our bungalow was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a beautiful terrace at sea where you could have breakfast/lunch/dinner. The pool area was great too.You’ll be far away from the busy parts of Koh Chang, so if you want to explore or go to restaurants you’ll definitely need a motorbike as there is not much around.

We didn’t expect it to be that far off from everything else. On the one hand it was nice to be away from all the busyness but on the other we were on the motorbike quite long (+30min) to get to popular places.

Villa 6 is a large 2 bed/2 bath villa with small kitchen, roof top jacuzzi, overlooking the resort to the beach. We were able to have more room to move and separation from the kids. The resort had a pool, free kayaks and SUP, reasonably priced food/drinks. Rented a car through them. The resort is lovely and quiet/relaxing.

It wasn't an issue for us, however it is quite far from town/the action. However they offer a free trip to and from town daily.

Serenity Resort is a beautiful, cozy and calm resort. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We didn't book a seaview bungalow, but still had a nice view to the sea. All the bungalows are great, so it doesn't really matter which one you end up to. The bungalow was very clean and looks even better than in the pictures. You have a lot of different options to eat in the resort restaurant (even vegetarian options which is a plus) and the food is very affordable. Kayaks and sup boards are free of charge. The restaurant closes early so evenings are peacefull and there isn't any noice during nights.

If you prefer to stay close to the town or want to party, keep in mind that this place is located on the other side of the island and there isn't a lot of services. However if you rent a scooter and enjoy a peaceful resort like we did, this is a great choice!

Location in a quiet side of an island and that was great, no traffic and tourist noise. No city lights at night so you can enjoy night sky. Staff very friendly and helpful. All snorkelling gear, paddle boards and kayaks for free.

You can find much better beaches around the island. So it is worth to travel a little bit more to better beach.

Wonderful situation, far enough from the noisy bustle of the town. Serene and tranquil bay, perfect for a bit of canoeing. The food was really delicious, and we enjoyed the happy hour cocktails. Our villa was situated right on the beach between the pool and the restaurant, but remained quiet and peaceful.

Not a thing. As others have mentioned, the sand is not the soft white sand of the other side, but that's the price you pay for a bit of peace and quiet. Didn't bother us in the slightest.

Calm, relaxing place in a small, colourful garden. I felt like home…Little clean amber sand beach - nice place for swimming. Stand-up-Paddling, kayaking. Wonderful swimmingpool, friendly, helpful staff, good food. Away from the noise and the loud western beaches (but also these places are worth a visit: white sand, tabkes and chairs directly on the ocean) - not easy to reach without motorbike. No problem for me.

Located on the quiet side of the island, the beach is a couple of steps away from the pool, restaurant, and rooms.The hotel provides kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkelling gear for the use of the guests.The staff are very friendly and helpful, the thai food was delicious and the drinks were reasonably priced as was the food.We had the pool villa with sea view, which also comes with a plunge pool on the roof and seating for umpteen people.Rooms were comfortable and sufficiently clean and tidy with comfortable beds.Some may see the beach as a bit strange due to it not being totally sandy and white. On this side of the island, the beaches are quite rocky, and the sand is a brownish colour.On the other side of the island they have white sandy beaches, there are also lots of bars, shops and restaurants and a lot more people.

Nothing of note, all good.

The upper deck area, especially the plunge pool was lovely. We were in villa number 2 and it was fantastic.

- the service is excellent, whatever you ask, they arrange it with a smile- the apartment was specious and with a plunge pool on top and shade and sun areas, the showers were warm the aircon worked fine, and, it was very comfortable- the restaurant has a decent offering and seating as well as lounge areas- the location is right at the beach, they offer free canoes and sup boards that you can use

- here (and also in other Koh Chang resorts) they use a lot of chlorine with the result that we did not enjoy the pool and plunge pool that much- the amber sand beach is very pleasant, but the sea has cobblestones and is shallow for a long time, for which swimming is ok but not as perfect as hoped for. We rented motorbikes and went to white sand beach for a better beach experience (while enjoying our stay at Serenity)

the location was fantastic. so calm and quiet. away from the party side and more touristic areas. The rooms and public areas were very clean and tidy. All the staff are very polite and kind and are always happy to help out with any requests. The food and drinks are fantastic and and not expensive and plenty of options to choose from. Kayaks and paddle boards all free to use. we felt very relaxed and at home here.

these are just observations and by no means made our stay bad... the hotel really is a fantastic place to stay and the staff are so kind and helpful. we will definitely be going back soon!We love to wake up early, sit outside or on the beach and drink coffee and watch the sun rise. unfortunately the rooms dont have a coffee machine and you cant get a coffee at the restaurant before 8am...a beachfront planters at the front of the chalet had been destroyed, i guess by the sea... would be easy to clean up or repair. just looked messy when everything else was so tidy.i know this isnt the fault of the hotel, but the beaches have a lot waste which spoils the experience. We always try collect up some rubbish as we walk... not loads, but enought to help out a bit, its a real shame... We serem to experience this wherever we go was same in vietnam and Bali. i dont understand why the owners of all the resorts on the beach dont get together and sort it out. everyone would benefit and it wouldnt take long to do if they kept on top of it.
