Chivapuri Beach Resort

Absolutely an amazing resort. If you are looking for a true Thai experience this is the place. Noy and the entire staff are incredible. Breakfast there was so good- lots of Thai and western food. The entire resort is very lush with orchards everywhere. Pool is beautiful and the beach is to die for. Food at the restaurant is above par and many other resorts right on the beach to eat there as well.Highly recommend!

Power outages and no emergency power, many ants in bathroom, housekeeping could be improved (no fill up of showercap, 1 spoon for 2 coffee cup), hard mattress

Pool. Peace. Nature. Everything…. Great breakfast!

We are elderly and bars or racks at the bath and shower and the pool to help for balance. Would be helpful for young and old.

Beach and staff at the hotel

Difficult to access. Bad road conditions to get into the hotel

A well laid out beach resort with an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. My room was great and I liked the foot wash stations. A nice touch.

Would be good to have better information on directions. Perhaps some solar lighted signs on the drive path. The restaurant could use some attention to the details.

The calmness

Really difficult to get there from the ferry. The welcoming from the receptionist was super cold, no electricity for all night, nobody apologised and didn’t get any discounts on the minibar

Excellent for a quiet relaxing getaway. Several restaurants on the same beach, lovely pool, lovely staff.The room was beautiful. Super high ceiling, super clean and comfortable.

Nothing but songkran song at breakfast same song for 3 hrs on repeat . Not a complaint just change the songs ?

Lovely hotel , beautiful scenery , friendly and helpful staff. A bit secluded location as Koh Chang is a very big island. If you’re looking for a quiet place for a family stay it is a good place. The only con is a not very powerful AC that doesn’t really cool the big room enough.

It’s out the way so absolutely nothing to do of an evening , very boring. The rooms look pretty but are non functional, too dark, and no storage. Beach is no good, lots of stones and shallow murky water , have to walk up to get in sea Over priced food in Restuarant. Too many entitled German parents with very young kids and babies keeping you up all night screaming

Very nice and relaxed location in the very south of Koh Chang with a nice pool.Kayaks can easily be rented at the resort and are free of charge for 1 hour.The breakfast buffet was rich and good. Nice coffee machine with excellent (!) coffee and a variety of coffee options – the machine has sometimes its ‘own will’ though.Staff was superb: little shy in the beginning, however extremely helpful and friendly – even on challenging topics. Beach is great, swimming however is not so easy due to the very shallow coast and some rocks.

The prices at the bar / restaurant are much higher than nearby restaurants, there is a 10 percent service charge and you have to remind the staff that you are a guest and are exempt from this.. a little frustrating

This was our favourite resort due to location on Ko Chang. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Natty the Manager was extremely welcoming, efficient and resourceful. Breakfast buffet was delicious with both Western and Thai choices. The atmosphere looking onto the beach from breakfast area, on the sand beach restaurant and bar magnificent. In this location you can watch both sunrise and sunset. We hired a scooter to get around. Our preference is to enjoy the surroundings and not huge "party people" therefore the quiet enjoyment in the evening for pure relaxation hit the spot perfectly, this is not the spot for late party goers though. Most venues shut around 9-10pm Feb 2025 which is consider higher season. Their hotel prices for food and beverage (beer and cocktails) were very reasonable. The grounds are lush with plants and trees and stunning lighting in the evenings beautifully maintained. The pool was divine: clean, cool and was able to get shelter from the sun in parts (being a red head) most important. Plenty of sun loungers including on the breach front and a nice beach sand and water. This is a smaller number of rooms resort and therefore has a very intimate personalised feeling without that usual "overrun by tourist" situation. You can walk along the beach to other food options and Bang Bao Pier is a short Songthaew away if you're not a competent scooter driver (Ko Chang road have very challenging bends and curves steep inclines and declines etc but hubby is a motor bike rider!). I recommend a private transfer from Ko Chang Pier as it is a good 38 min drive to the bottom area of Ko Chang and the entry is a little rough but totally worth it. Their massage ladies are the best: Eie and Ploy can deliver either that strong Thai or more relaxing type which ever you desire - again reasonably priced.

Absolutely nothing

I wanted to find a private, more secluded place and beach to give me a chance to get grounded again.Chivapuri was just the perfect place for that.The fisherman's village of Bang Bao is just a 15-20 minute walk away.Unfortunately, I couldn't get a guided tour to mount Salakpeth and the road to Salakpeth is still damaged, so hiking there was not possible this time.The walk to Bhuvarin resort and back was totally worth it and had some really nice different views of Bang Bao and Konk Kloi beach.The staff is simply amazing and found a solution to every wish I had.They also managed to take care of the vegan meals I requested - and I could order special items only a vegan kitchen has and they would prepare my requested meals with them for me.I came as a stranger and left as a friend.I hope the staff felt the same way.

Comfortable 2 bedroom apartment with plenty of room. Excellent swimming pool and good, sandy beach from which to enjoy the sea. Plenty of sunbeds under trees providing shade. Reception staff very helpful. Easy to walk to local restaurants along the beach. Good breakfasts.

Quite expensive (by Thai standards) to hire a taxi to get to and from the hotel

It is a quiet hotel on a beautiful beach with a strong feel of being a part of the nature. If you want to get away from it all, then it is the right place for you. The rooms are modern and spacious and beds are comfortable. We had a sea view room which was a bonus. Breakfast selection was certainly enough. There are also many options to eat in the beach restaurants around.

The hotel is very secluded which is a bonus for some but can be a problem for others and you feel it especially in the evening if you want to go shopping (but no problem to have a dinner, there are restaurants on the beach around). In the evening it is not easy to get a shared taxi from here, you must walk along the beach to a pick up point and sometimes wait for long to get one. The Klong Kloi beach is popular among day trippers so it can become quite busy at some parts of the day and even though the hotel has signs beyond which the non guests cannot go I saw several times people even trying to have a swim in the hotel pool and occupy the sun beds. The hotel does not feel like a resort, it feel like a public place and non guests walk in and out of the premises. There should be maybe a permanent guard who would take care of the guests privacy. As the hotel presents itself as a 4 star resort, this should be no problem. Concerning the hotel as such, they could improve with the room cleaning services, our room was always cleaned late in the afternoon and the cleaning was not perfect, sand was left on the floor, several times the complimentary water bottles were not changed and empty bottles left sitting everywhere.

Position on beautiful beach, lots of sunbeds dotted among trees. Lovely staff, good food, good breakfast. We absolutely loved our huge beachfront villa, and our view of the sea when waking up.Lush gardens, well maintained. Beautiful pool. Many beach restaurants very close along the beach. Great massages at good prices. One of the best beach hotels we’ve ever stayed in.

Thin sunbed mattresses, not good for those with achey backs. Accessibility getting in & out of pool could be improved, would help older guests.

Lovely location at the end of the road, which made it safe and relaxing with kids. It was truly a wonderful spot and super chilled. Little bars, restaurants in the sandy tracks behind up to Bang Bao meant it wasn't isolated. Perfect from that perspective. The pool and beach were lovely and never crowded. Lovely staff.

Would book a family suite on beach side if poss. There are a few rooms at the back, which were chilled but dark and felt like it had been recently redone but with less of the comfortable furnishings put back. We loved the place but would 100pc recommend opting for a room at the front. Restaurant was not great - a real shame as this could be an asset, but it was also on the other hand, very peaceful. Not a problem for us as we enjoyed our walks down the beach to other eateries.

The place, the sea, staff, accomodation, all really excellent. Spacious and clean rooms, spacious resort and very attentive staff.

Just slightly overpriced restaurant, compared to the simillar places at Koh Chang made us reconsider where we were dining
