Good sized rooms right on the beach. Staff great and the food at the restaurant is pretty decent.

Like many places on the island the rooms and the whole hotel feels a bit worn out but I still stay there often!The bathroom was rather tatty.

Location! Beautiful beach with warm water, soft sand.Our beach front bungalow was so spacious with a huge bed, sitting area and large bathroom including a spa bath!Also, one of the kids accidentally left a beloved stuffed toy behind when we checked out. The super friendly staff express posted it to us at our accommodation in Bangkok at no cost (even though we offered to pay.) Amazing place, amazing staff and service!

The hot water took a while to get warm (or sometimes didn't). It was nice having a cool shower anyway.

The location was perfect. The beach was good to swim.

The air conditioner in the bungalow was so loud, that had to switch off at night.

We chose the bungalow room and could not be happier. The room is on top of the beach, overlooking the pool, the sand, and the ocean. Absolutely stunning. We also enjoyed the pool which is next to the beach.

Room was a bit dated and very warm, aircon blows right into the bed which is not the best during the night,

Rooms and lobby a bit dated- Some safety hazards at the pool (cut off screw with sharp edges)- All deck chairs were being towel-reserved early in the morning already which was very annoying

The location is of course amazing, right in the center of White Sand Beach. You find the beach on one side and street life with small businesses on the other. The pool area worked well, the staff did their job and the breakfast was decent enough.

The overall facilities felt decayed and not taken care of, and the rooms we got were quite bad.We had two rooms, 1103 and 1104, and both rooms were really damp and smelled quite badly of mold, especially the bathrooms. Both bathrooms had rotting wood and in 1104 we found black mold around the bathroom sink, which of course is considered a health risk if inhaled. We tried to spend as little time as possible inside the rooms, which is easy in White Sand Beach, but still we felt that it wasn't safe to sleep there. Furthermore we had to dry our bathing clothes outside, as they never fully dried inside and also got the same smell as the rest of the room. It should be noted that there are several buildings, and that the rooms in these buildings might be ok.

After backpacking Sri Lanka for a month we were delighted with our accommodation here in koh chang, some of the reviews we read were bad but I really can’t see why, this place is luxury especially after a backpacking trip! The rooms are big with hot water shower, tv and terrace out the front, fridge in the room with hairdryer etc. I only ate here once for lunch but they have a nice set up on the beach, and I saw a buffet for dinner. The breakfast is really nice although it would be great if things were labeled as I’m a vegetarian and wasn’t sure what I could and couldn’t eat, I could have asked the staff which wouldn’t have been a problem as they are all so lovely, but I just stuck with eggs, toast and fruit ?? there’s an omelette station too which my boyfriend used every day. The pool is HUGE, there’s a large jacuzzi style bit and a slide. It’s right on the beach so can swap between sunbathing on the beach to having a dip in the pool, the reviews are true about the sunbeds however, I counted 13 that were not in use for a long period of the day but had towels on, however this didn’t bother us too much as we like sun bathing on the beach, but I can see why this would frustrate other customers ?? there is also a free gym just across the road! It can be a little busy at times but you’ll be able to find something to do without a problem. The hotel is very close by to some really nice restaurants too. Thank you to all the staff at lagoon, especially the man on the front desk who helped us when we lost our phone ??

Only thing I would recommend is labelling the food at breakfast for people with dietary requirement’s ☺️

Sharp screws sticking up in the pool, staff didn’t do anything about it and we hurt ourselves while using it.

The size of the room was perfect. Staff was friendly and most of them were smiling whenever they walked by. It wasn't noisy at night and breakfast buffet was very good for the price requested. Exceptional that omelettes were offered freshly made upon request with self chosen ingredients.

Pool (deck) chairs were occupied/reserved over night and therefore no possibility to get one as way too less chairs are available for the quantity of hotel guests. Sometimes not even fresh beach towels available, since all of them were used to reserve the chairs over night. It would be better to provide beach towels in the room only and no reservation of chairs allowed over night and without being there for more than 1 hour.Garbage collection point seemed to be right in front of our room/balcony which was unfortunate. At least it was only the recycables and the leaves - no food/other trash, so there wasn't any bad smell.

Breakfast was average.

We were first given a room that smelled very bad. The hotel did not offer a new room but tried to spray perfume. Possibly mold. We paid more to get a better room for the rest of the trip. The room was old and there were a lot of things broken. The pool boy takes money and reserves sun loungers for people for the whole day, so be prepared that there may not be any available. There is also a large group of aggressive Albanians at the pool, threatening other guests.

The Pool and beach are great. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is buffet with everything and more. Our room was cleaned every day with new towels and bedsheets.

The walls of the hall were not clean (dirty). The paint of the ceiling of our room (standard room) was coming off. The place needs a fresh coat of paint!

The surroundings and the facilities. Great place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and the great beach. Close to everything in White Sand Beach.

Its a nice place but some things including the water slide could be in need of an update.

1) Our bungalow was a little bit too close of the night bar , so at night it was noisy but we appreciated that they stopped at 11pm. 2) At the front of our bungalow , the beach is free ; so some local people sat dow sometimes in the top of our terrace of our bungalow drinking alcool and being drunk and noisy. Some advices or signal panel from hotel managers reminding that this is a "private" bungalow terrace could be helpful. 3) I would have appreciate a lot to have an hamac chair that the other apartments get. I asked for it at the reception but they answered that it was not possible to get one (even if I would have paid for it): sad. If they could be flexible and responding to a simple request as asking this hamac chair, it will show that the hotel care about the little thing that can make the customer really happy, next time, hotel manager be aware that it doesn't cost that much to move one hamac chair from one room not occupied, but be aware that this gesture will have brought a great happiness for the all stay of your clients.

Rooms clean comfortable bed close to beach friendly staff would recommend

Location was good. We liked sitting on the hotel's shady plaza looking out on the sea. The staff members who worked at the reception desk were very helpful and nice. The gym was good. We liked eating dinner on the beach with our feet in the sand - the fish was particularly good - dinner service was good.

Our "ocean view" room didn't have any windows. To see the ocean, we had to go outside (it was hot!) on the patio to get a partial view of the ocean. Some of the staff members (especially those who worked at breakfast) really need to get serious training in customer service. Not pleasant. Not helpful. The service was the worst of the many hotels in Thailand that we've stayed in.

Ours family room has not a window. Others things was perfect.
