Outstanding location- steps to the water and what amounts to your own private beach. Close to all amenities (shops, restaurants) . Lots of outdoor seating options available and a nice little breakfast to boot! Efficient staff.

The room is bit dated

We like Banpu in white sand beach, on the beach, nice pool, really great breakfast, both Thai and Western.  And near many bars and restaurants but not too noisy.  Fire dance in a few hundred meters down the beach.  Also a good gym nearby....6 min walk.  ATM and 7-Eleven nearby. An exceptional value

The location was fabulous. Right on the ocean with plenty of restaurants around you. The beds were good. The cleaning staff were great. Their restaurant was spacious and located watching the ocean. Good selection of food and reasonably priced. The Thai breakfast was okay. Fabulous pool area.

Its very old and in despatate need of a coat of paint and renovation but acceptable. Our triple deluxe room was small but comfortable. Very limited hot western breakfast. Fried eggs only and pancakes. There was toast, cereal and fruit. I'm glad i asked for a ground level room as stairs are very narrow and steep plus with parquetry flooring, upstsirs movenents are amplified to rooms below...overall fairly noisy.

Got a nice sea view upgrade when I checked in very courteous staff good restaurant well maintained grounds a very positive vibe

Right on the beach. Lots of restaurants and touristy stuff along the road behind. Breakfast was good.

Been here before and its starting to look a little worn. Lots of little things need fixing, stuff any competent handyman could do. Tends to be a bit dark.

Good location on the beach and local town. Relaxed atmosphere the hotel has good basic facilities and friendly. This not a top of the range luxury hotel but offers a good location and basic rooms. Location and type of the rooms varies greatly with many different options.

The hotel is in front of a wonderful, sandy beach with nice, clean water.The location is pretty convenient. There are one or two restaurants around and some bars within 5-10 minutes walking. The night market of the island is in this neighborhood as well (close on Mondays and Tuesdays).One of the receptionists was very polite and helpful. She called a public taxi (tuktuk) for me to go to Pier (the port) the day of my departure.

The hotel is very old. The wood on all the furniture is severely worn out and peeling off (nightstand, desk, chair).You could hear everything through the walls – there was no soundproofing whatsoever. I would literally wake up by other people talking in the morning in their own rooms. I could make out every single word they were saying.The closet had a very bad smell when you opened it and of course I couldn't hang my clothes in there.The WiFi connection in the room I stayed in was TERRIBLE. I worked during my stay and had to rely on my mobile data. It wasn't even strong enough for a video call.

That location alone is a lure to get back again and again. Good breakfast, big and clean room, balcony right above the breaking waves...that's heaven. Love it and preparing to go back for the third time.

Good Location Right on the top end of White Sands Beach Plenty of shops ,restaurants,money exchange right outside the Resort Plenty of Baht Buses around if you do not have transport to go to other areas I have a car which is pretty easy . Just be careful and slow on the roads on the Island . Pretty narrow and numerous places hilly with sharp curves Find most of the time you will be driving at 20 to 45 kilometres per hour But that is fine . Nice and safe. Staff were all pleasant and helpful Parking is very tight and limited . But every time I came in or out a staff member would come straight out and help guide in or out . Sometimes they would move some motorbikes to create a car park space Tried 10 different restaurants all over the island . Each one was great ( so is the Ban Phu Hotel very good breakfast each day and had 1 lunch and 1 dinner there ) Beach eating Cliff top view eating ..brilliant The best restaurant was Le JaoJom Between White sands beach and Lonely Beach It is sensational fine dining . More expensive than other restaurants ,but well worth it Ban Phu pool is very good ,Definitely worth staying here , especially if its your first time on the Island because of location and right on a great beach

Same old story from a certain nationality of putting bag and towel on Sun bed lounges at 7.00am and then disappearing for 5 to 7 hours . Need to adopt rule that many places do in Thailand now , No one on the bed for 2 hours ,staff pack up and store at receptionThe rooms are starting to get a bit tired . Still very nice but think in the next couple of years some refurbishments will be needA small fan on the balcony would be excellent addition

Good location, staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect view from our room,and very clean. We recommend it and surely we visit again.

We chose this hotel because of its location in middle of Whitesand beach. The location is indeed great, there are shops, restaurants, 7-11s and anything you can wish for right there. Breakfast was very nice. Staff was very friendly.

We requsted rooms close to each other but ended up having rooms on different floors. Swimming pool is very small and smells like bleach a lot. Although it is not permited to smoke during breakfast there were people smoking there and when we asked the front desk to take care of it the refused and did nothing. The worst thing unfortunately is the hotels "beach", there really isnt any. Also getting to the sea is complicated there is lots of rocks on the shore and in the sea as well. So although the location is great for night life and shopping, its not a good resort for beach access and swimming.

The resort location besides the beach is perfect, and very nicely arranged. We got an upgrade to a sea/beach-looking room. Breakfast is very varied and quite good.

Sadly the bathroom was very dirty and moldy, and there was a strong sewage smell. The whole room is in need of a good renovation. When the tide is high at night, the waves hit the walkway besides the room and it gets quite noisy...
