Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort

The hotel feels like a part of Ko Chang which, sadly, won’t last forever. It is privately owned and does not feel like a corporate hotel. It feels genuine and is a fantastic value. The beach is the gorgeous and perhaps the best on this section of coast. Our room had a premier view of the water. The staff is lovely, helpful, and nice. Breakfast is delicious. Location is well situated and you feel like you are on a private island and beach except for operation on street behind hotel which is weird and sometimes loud if you get too close. Proximity to rest of town and commercial district is perfect. The hotel is recovering from the pandemic era and undergoing renovations but this work did not affect our visit. We loved this place.

The location was great, and the view from the cliff is amazing. Bungalows are comfy and clean.

The location is superb. We upgraded to sea view for very little extra. Well worth it! Private beach too

It is quite dated and mostly structured by wood. Seems no renovation since initially built. Not really a dislike just a point as you can see wood falling apart

Very dirty showroom on arrival in both our rooms. Mould on tiles...Generally poor Ac was smelly in 1 room. And hard to operate

Nice location with direct access to the beach and plenty of restaurants and bars.

The room needs a big update. We were in the deluxe room ocean view, there is plenty of stairs to go to the breakfast area or to the beach. We have a small child in the stroller, so it was particularly comfortable.The pillows on the beach chairs were very worn out and moldy.

the pool room was good but out of sun most of the day and noise from the room above kept you awake at night

Location was perfect, but next to the night street so can be very noisy of the night bars with loud music. Rooms are pretty, wooden floors, inlay with stones, nice shower and bathroom and with a nice big bed.

Location was lovely, breakfast had a nice variety, budget rooms were great very spacious and the most comfortable bed I stayed throughout my 3 months through Thailand!

Good breakfast, friendly staff, clean room

Loved our stay here! The views from the infinity pool at the top are amazing and it was always super quiet up there. The main pool and our private pool were spotlessly clean, the towels + sheets were clean and seemed new. The beachfront is private and beautiful with a couple of quiet bars down the beach for a sunset beer. The room was huge, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was lovely and the staff made up the room every day with such care. It's right across from the busy and loud walking street (which is mainly just late night bars) but we couldn't hear any music from the room even on the weekend.

It's a little run down but nothing major. As with lots of places COVID probably hit it hard and it's been a struggle to get it back up. The bar/restaurant on the beach is probably the worst part as it could be lovely but it's just a table with drinks on next to a rock.

I loved the location and that the resort had a private beach. The staff were amazing. The rooms were basic but the beds were so comfortable!

The property was a bit rundown, but clean. The pool wasn't in great condition and had wires in it that freaked me out.

The fact the pretty pictures don’t represent the property. The hotel is a real let down when you see it in reality. Clearly it was a nice place years ago but that was in the past. Paths and gardens are unkempt with barbed wire cordoning off a water runoff through the centre of the property. The biggest issue is when you’ve booked a room in this rundown hotel to find you didn’t read the fine print thoroughly enough and they’ve moved you to a really ratty old motel style complex (up the street and across the main road)that looks like it should have been demolished in the 80s. Clearly they have bought a failed budget hotel and are using the name of their existing hotel to lure people in. You can relax though in the knowledge that you are entitled to walk down the street or call for the minibus to pick you up if you’d like to use the hotel facilities. You know. The ones in the photos like pool, restaurant, beach etc

Room with a Pool: Definitely recommend this room 803! great little pool, very Private!. Super room, clean and well equipped! enjoyed the stay here very much. If i were to make suggestions: add a desk for working if needed, plus perhaps a dining / bistro table on the patio by the private pool.Breakfast: Nice Ambiance, Could really have more options for vegetarians, They add pork and egg to a lot of dishes that would be super without even for meat eaters! overall it is very tasty and clean and they have a cook to make you eggs any way you wish! great view as you eat breakfast over the sea!Beach: Nice and quaint, Private feel , No sellers and not busy, shade if you want over all super close to the room.
