Santhiya Koh Chang Resort - Up to THB 3,000 Resort Credit per Night

Beautiful rooms, very romantic hotel! The negative is it location. Nice thin beach, but you need to drive a distance to try other food options.

The location is great, the hotel is self is a bit isolated and peaceful.

The airport transportation is not included which is not normal for the overall Koh Chang hotels at that price range because most of the hotels offers this for free. Plus we booked the very overprice transfer and they dropped us at the airport 4 hours before which is a very bad organization.

The hotel is very beautiiful, the rooms are great, the staff is amazing, the swimming pool is really nice and the beach in front of the hotel is simply a paradise.I stayed for 6 nights and had a fantastic time at the hotel and in Koh Chang

Not really. Everything was great.

The staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The gardening staff was always working and the grounds were amazing. Everyone we dealt with was excellent.

The boardwalks need attention. Too many loose boards.

Everything. We booked a hideaway villa. It was worth every single penny, and full value for money. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind. The resort itself was lovely too.

Nothing at all. We were extremely happy from start to finish with the welcome we were given, the accommodation, the views, the food in the different restaurants, and the staff.

We’ve stayed at a few Santhiyas around Thailand, and as always, the property and surrounding nature was impressive. We got the pool room overlooking the lake, super private, and very comfortable with beautiful views.Prices in facility are reasonable and great value for money (restaurants and spa services) We absolutely loved their WhatsApp option, can ask any questions or requests through WhatsApp which was incredibly convenient.

We have previous stays in Santhiya to compare with, and there’s definitely room for improvement. Things like extra towels for the private pool (aside from two provided for shower), would’ve gone a long way.Sadly, the hotel is in desperate need of renovation - seems the heavy rains have really taken a toll on all the lovely wood. Cannot imagine how costly the upkeep must be.

Very pleasant place with staff who try to make your stay unforgettable. Very helpful. Good breakfast.

I expected more Thai dishes on the menu in the beach restaurant. Food was good but too much western style

Only criticism- music in the location. Live music in the breakfast a bit too demanding. Music in the spa repetitive. I’d continue the soft and traditional music line but more varied. The food in the beach restaurant could be improved.

Be careful, possibly bedbugs or mosquitoes. My back got eaten alive by something. No BBQ, no dinner buffet due to low season

I wanted to rate the place '10'. Right on the beach, super friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent. The aloe vera massage perfect. Fruit carving course super.

The humiliating check-out procedure spoiled the impression. Waited 17 minutes to be able to leave the place, feeling like thieves and waiting for clearance. Our car was waiting, we missed the ferry. Wonder if the 4* place indeed has guest which steel and damage the rooms. It is a management problem. The staff was great.

Beautiful villas and architecture. Great beach. Set in a well manicured jungle setting with views to mountains.

The room was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. The whole atmosphere was exactly what I wanted: relaxing, chill, and fun. The proximity to the beach was outstanding and I loved the use of the sarongs as towels. I used one to make a sun covering as well. The property was gorgeous and quiet. The loved the wood and decor in my room and it was clean and lovely.

I have very little to suggest beyond maybe having a few more variety for vegetarian meal options or perhaps the ability to get the shuttle more often.

It was an exceptional stay. Everything was just perfect and the staff tried to fulfill every wish we had. The location of the resort is at a really amazing beach and not many people are around it. If you’re looking for a chill getaway this is the place. You can get a ride to the Main Street several times a day, walk or take a taxi. The rooms were also exceptional and our own pool was our highlight. They could offer more vegan options at breakfast but I still got a variety of good food.

First of all we really liked the staff’s attitude, especially their availability via WhatsApp, the Santhiya staff is exceptional. We also liked the shuttles to the main street, the comfortable and well-equipped room, and the breakfast, where everyone was also very friendly. The hotel is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful – highly recommended!

Increasing the frequency of the shuttles would make the experience even better

Breakfast: The hotel’s complimentary breakfast was excellent—a wide variety of choices, fresh food, and a beautiful atmosphere. You enter the dining area barefoot, which adds to the relaxing experience. Every evening, traditional Thai musicians play, creating a lovely ambiance. Even after seven nights, we never got bored of the food.The Staff at the Restaurant: The people working in the breakfast area were warm and welcoming, making that part of our stay enjoyable.

We had high expectations for our stay at Santhiya Tree Koh Chang, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to what we imagined. While there were some enjoyable moments, the overall experience was disappointing, especially considering the price and the hotel’s advertised luxury status.The Biggest Disappointment – The Private DinnerMy husband planned a surprise private dinner for me, costing 9,000 THB, expecting a romantic and memorable evening. The setup in the garden with lights and flower petals was beautiful, and the staff who arranged it did a great job. However, the actual dinner was a major letdown.•The Food: It was mediocre at best, with an appetizer of mashed prawns with some salad leaves and a main course that awkwardly mixed seafood, pork, and beef on the same plate—making it difficult to eat. Everything was overloaded with garlic, completely ruining any idea of a romantic dinner.•Quantity Over Quality: The portions were excessive, but the quality was nothing special—just basic Thai food you could find in Bangkok’s Chinatown for a fraction of the price.•The Wine: A cheap Chilean red wine, priced at around 400 THB per bottle, was served, which felt out of place for such an expensive dinner.•Not Worth the Price: While the staff was kind and did their best, the experience was nowhere near worth 9,000 THB. In fact, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast much more than this overly expensive private dinner.Hotel Condition & Maintenance:•The hotel itself feels run-down. I can imagine how grand it must have been 20 years ago, but now, repairs are more like quick fixes and improvisations rather than real improvements.•Bathroom Issues:•The drainage was terrible—the floors weren’t angled properly, so water flowed everywhere.•The flooring was incredibly slippery when wet. My baby fell several times, which was stressful and unsafe.
