- The dinner was exceptional. The onsen was good but not exceptional. The location was very pretty. If you like star gazing you will not be disappointed. There is some ambient light but I still saw a gazillion stars.
- Super old and overpriced with the worst and most expensive breakfast we had in all Japan. When I asked at the reception for a refund/discount on this breakfast, they pretended not to understand me (had a perfect conversation with the exact same staff members the night before).

It’s a bit old inside and out. Needs a bit of a makeover. Also, the air conditioning in the hallways had a kind of stale smell. A little pricey considering what you get…
Breakfast was just OK. Eggs and meat were relatively cool. Not up to par for the cost of the meal. There was plenty of food, but it was not up to the standards I expect at as premium hotel.
The coffee machine(s) were not working properly. So, the staff quickly made several pots of OK coffee. Having drunk from the machines that were broken at other venues, I would have preferred the machine made coffee.The dinner meal was quite elaborate, except almost everything was cold, or lukewarm at best. The tempura was soggy, cold, not crisp and hot like it should always be when served.
