Hotel California Garden

Perfect location, clean, spacious rooms. Couldnt fault it at all.

Breakfast was alittle bland tasting. Edable but not tasty. Breakfast was busy as it only opened 8 to 10.

It was clean

As a first time customer, it left me feeling quite unappreciated.Not told where anything was, what facilities were available.It was an effort for the reception man to book me a taxi when I was leaving.

On arrival we're told room booked was on 7th floor lift only went to 6th floor spoke to reception following morning and changed room to lower floor

Location was nice, hotel and room clean and well presented.

The breakfast buffet food was terrible, also very chaotic with queues everywhere due to machines not been on. For example the queue for the one coffee machine stretched right through the middle of the food area making it difficult to get food

The hotel reception was clean and well lit, and the check in was speedy and efficient. The rooms were comfortable and clean, plus the bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower. The location of the hotel was very good, there is a supermarket across the road and a very good snack bar not very far away. It is not a long walk to the beach.

We only got one key card for the room and you needed to insert that to get the lights and air conditioning to work so you couldn't leave the key card in to keep the room cool during the day.

Looks like it was refurbished within the last few years so looks bright and airy and the pool area is nice. Had a private terrace in our room on the top floor, which was nice (although got very hot in the direct sun in the afternoon)The ladies who checked your reservations for breakfast and dinner were very friendly, tolerant and patient despite the queues and the lack of tables.

the queues for the breakfast and dinner! Restaurant is way too small for the number of guests and dinner doesn't start until 7:30 and it's almost literally a bun fight to get a table. Either increase the room size, increase the hours, or have more sittings. for British people with kids 7:30 is very late to eat we only choose to have our room cleaned a couple of times but even after being cleaned the room was dusty and the bathroom was hardly touched.Food was ok although we did get a bit bored with the choices and chose to eat out a couple of nights rather than face the fight for a table and the mad hoards grabbing at food and shoving past.

Room is very basic and not worth the money spent

Very outdated rooms. No iron, kettle or anything in the room except a Telly that didn’t work and a bed . Old tv,unable to use Netflix and unable to even use the usb because the Telly was so old. Breakfast was very busy and the food was not great.

Would have rated it higher than a 3 star. Lovely and clean. Staff were welcoming. Would definitely go back.

Could not get a Sunbed at all! Towels down on beds that were not occupied all day.

No sound proof from hallway, have to pay to unlock fridge when it will be in the room turned on anyway, food not great

The breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. I liked everything I ate. The only thing that I did not like were the juices (pineapple and apple juice). It was very nice to walk around the neighborhood, the hotel was close to EVERYTHING! The beaches, the restaurant, the shops and even Port Aventura which was a 15-minute walk away. I also liked the fact that at the end of your stay they give you a key to get access to a space where you can put your luggage. And I liked the two pools.

The price I paid did not match the expectations. The outside of the hotel and the reception looks greats but that's all. I think it was too pricey for what it was. The room is very small and is only good for a couple. The bed are not really comfortable ESPECIALLY the folding bed. Some things in the room are missing : a bin (we only had ONE bin in the bathroom). And there is also some things which are not mentionned : the gym is 5€ a day, the remote control costs 10€ and the safety box is also available for a fee. Also, In the pool area, even though it is stated that reserving a deckchair by placing a towel is prohibited, everyone does it and the staff does nothing about it. Lastly, even though it did not bothered me, keep in mind that the hotel is just next to a nightclub so you might heard the music in your room or loud people coming back from the club.

It was a nice hotel with good facilities and pool.

It's right next door to a loud nightclub thats open until 6am. I didn't get a great sleep. The WiFi has a low signal. This isn't good when researching local places of interest.The dining area is too small for the amount of people staying at the hotel.

Some of the food was not for me. Just had bed and breakfast but all I could eat was eggs beans and toastGetting a sun bed was a hassle.

Perfect spot to stay in Salou. Great location and walking distance to central area. Rooms very clean, daily housekeeping, maybe the food could improve a little.

The breakfast was ok, hot food probably suited central Europe rather than the Irish

Hotel staff were very rude, pretty much everywhere. Hotel is next to a nightclub and woke us up every night. Hotel rooms are small.

The rooms are a great size, super clean, the facilities are brilliant, plenty space for everyone, staff are super friendly and I love coming to this hotel

Nothing I didn't like. The buffet is what you expect for a large hotel having to cater for so many so be prepared for the same things over and over but it's not bad at all if you go with the expectation. Great quality for such a big hotel.
