Mixed feelings. On one hand, there were many positive aspects; on the other, there were drawbacks that spoiled the overall impression. But let’s go through it step by step. The hotel is well located, slightly on a hill and away from the noisy streets, yet still close to the sea. The walk down to the sea takes about 5 minutes (cross the street and go down the stairs). Opposite the hotel, there is a small shop where you can buy various essentials, from drinks and snacks to beach accessories and souvenirs. Also, there is a bus stop across the street for the regional and Barcelona / Barcelona Airport buses. If you are planning to visit Porta Ventura, then it is a 20 minutes walk (or 12-15EUR for taxis, we preferred to walk). Inside the hotel, rooms are quite spacious (for 2 persons), refreshed, beds are comfy, AC is cold and quiet (!!), water pressure in the shower is good, shower didn't get clogged during our stay. Fast wifi in the room. Nice balcony, where you can chill during the siesta or at the sunset (especially if you have a sea view and live at 4-5 floor). There are 4 pools in the hotel, one of them is at the roof, where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets with the glass of wine or cocktail. Traditionally, people are "booking" sunbeds with the towels (and then leave for breakfast or lunch ) at the pool, although it is forbidden. But we didn't bothered about that - with the sea that close, we spent all our time at the beach. We had breakfasts and dinners included. There was an option to switch dinner for lunch, but we didn't use it. The food was standard European style, offering both meat and fish options. Some dishes suited our taste, others less so, but there was always something to choose from, and we never went hungry. The evening animation was a bit boring for us, so we just went to the promenade or stayed in the room.

Sleeping might be tricky for light sleepers. “Paper-thin” walls are not unusual in Spanish hotels, but here they seemed thinner than usual. You could hear everything that happens in the neighbor rooms - phone talks, snoring, kids having fun, babies crying, youth partying, people fighting etc. The early morning room cleaning didn’t make it easier to sleep also. It often seemed as all the furniture in the room being cleaned was being rearranged several times, and the sound travelled well into the neighboring rooms — perhaps even to other floors. As a final touch, on our last night we were woken up at exactly 6:30 by what seemed to be construction work, accompanied by heavy hammering. The noise was so loud it went right through my earplugs. This is basically the reason why I lowered my overall rating. Next thing - dinners. When you come in to the restaurant, you need to check in with the stuff, who controls your room nr. If you came earlier and checked in room nr. and your kid or spouse, for example came a bit later, they won't be able to enter, because the room number is already chekced in. And then you need to explain to the stuff, that we all from the same room. Not hard, but annoying. Also, you can't bring your drinks to the restaurant - you need to buy drinks, including water, from the waiters. But sometimes waiters were so busy, we couldn't get their attention even just to get some water. Couple of times we got our drinks when everyone has already finished their meals. Lastly, the room cleaning, noisy as it was, left a lot to be desired. The towels weren’t replaced, and the floor still felt sandy. Which makes you wonder why the furniture was being moved around so enthusiastically.

The room was really lovely, and the restaurant was very nice. As we were full board the selection of food in the restaurant was limited but adequate and you could easily make a meal out of what they had. The staff were really friendly and efficient.

The aircon was not the best although it did feel nice to walk into the room at first, but we felt it wasn't powerful enough.

Location is great, helpful staff! Clean and value for money with your stay.

Loved everything about this place. Location and room were excellent. Onsite activities were so much fun and we especially loved the aqua fitness in the pool! Also loved the pool side service for lunch and snacks. Lots of restaurants and shops less than a 2 minute walk away from the hotel.

Staff at the reception could have been more helpful and provided more information for those visiting the hotel for the first time (e.g, hour for breakfast, location of the pools). The air conditioning is not the strongest but you get used to it!

This hotel is located quite conveniently near the sea. Breakfast had a good choice and was pretty good, the staff is nice and quite friendly.

It’s simply not a 4 star hotel. Air conditioning system is extremely old and actually can’t cool the air during the really hot summer. All common areas with the exception of the ground floor are not air conditioned. Sound proof is 2 of 5. The most fantastic and ridiculous thing is 20 EUR deposit for the air conditioner remote control. I simply hasn’t met such thing since the late USSR. Generally hotel is very very overvalued.

An okay resort hotel, quiet big, spacious, comfortable bed

Breakfasts were very basic, orange nectar from concentrate, bad coffee, cheap pastry, my room was on the 2d floor overlooking the pool, so it was quite noisy during the day, I never managed to find the exact terrace with the sea view the hotel uses to advertise itself, the hotel is situated quite far from the train station / Port Aventura, well, it’s close to the sea

3 minute walk distance to the seaside. Reception staff and waiters were kind and helpful

Breakfast variety is not that amazing as many people say. The quality of coffee and orange juice could be better. Additionally, the cleaning staff disposed of a bag with personal belongings containing an expensive beauty product and medical supplies essential for my wife’s well-being. Strangely, actual trash such as pizza boxes was left untouched, raising serious concerns about the cleaning staff’s judgment. I wrote an official complaint and received an email stating that it is highly unlikely that any belongings placed outside the trash bin were disposed by the hotel staff. No compensation so far and no apologies were received as if we made up the whole story. Also no duvet covers in a room, idk whether it’s a normal practice in Spanish hotels or not. No kettle in the room, you have to pay to get it. Room’s noise isolation could’ve been better though we were lucky having quiet neighbours next door

The cost of our one night stay was great value for the quality of the hotel Facilities for teenagers were much better than what we've experienced in other Salou Hotels Breakfast was fine ..

Rooms could've been a little bigger but thats being picky

Excellent location for easy access to local amenities and beach, clean throughout, friendly staff. Fantastic roof top pool and bar

    4EvgeniPosted on: 4-26-2025

Great staff. Had a great view and close to seaside.

A/C did not work. Each day 1-2 buses full of Spanish pensioners were set loose on the hotel. This created a very loud and negative atmosphere. People were smoking cannabis on the balcony on our floor. We were unable to keep our balcony door open for some cool air since A/C was broken.
