Ohtels Villa Dorada

The property was in a great location with some nice small shops nearby and a beautiful secluded beach nearby also. The all inclusive was brilliant with the drinks bar and breakfast being my favourite.

However, I found that the bar staff sometimes seemed annoyed when you asked for things which made us feel uncomfortable. Overall though we had a great time and I would recommend.

Was able to take us in for the night when all the electricity and power went down for over 10 hours as it was one of the only hotels with power. If I ever return I will definitely stay here for the hole of my stay next time.

Very noisy at night if your room is pool oriented.

location was a little out of the way and beaches were clean and rugged, local bars were welcoming warm and friendly. hotel very welcoming, staff were very accomodating.

Food could have been vastly improved, cold plates, cold food most days, drinks expensive unless you were all inclusive.

On check in nobody available to give travel cot. Baby fell in between the beds.

Hotel is near the beach and shops, there is a bus stop in front so the trips and other activities are easy to organise. We went half board and it was enough because we spent a lot of time visiting other places nearby. Food was really good. We had early flight from Barcelona and we couldn't have a breakfast at the date of departure, so we asked hotel staff to provide us with lunch boxes. Thy were also lovely.

There should be more parasols or other variants of shade near the swimming pool.There was a bed smell from the bathroom.

The breakfast was plentiful. The location of the hotel is very good and it is very close to the beaches.

The breakfast, given the selection, was almost monotonous. Maybe we expected a more varied selection.

Everything is accessible, beach, shop, restaurant etc.

Great Amenities for a 3 Star Hotel.. Receptionist Hermosa was very helpful. The food was good. The room cleaners were great.

Lack of staff and English speakers. Had to repeat things several times and, in most cases, would just forget about request. We got all inclusive however Some staff thought they were doing you a favour for refils.Bed and linens are outdated. It is difficult to get comfortable.The swimming area is a near death trap. In my 8 night stay, I think I saw a life guard in the area once. Also, floors are very slippery.

Loved how modern and new the hotel and complex was. Good entertainment during the day for families/children. Close to the beach

Breakfast wasn't great, big choice but food was cold unless you got freshly cooked. Night entertainment wasn't v good

Wouldn’t come back

The afternoon entertainment was so annoying 2 men running around making stupid noises and play fighting. Not relaxing at all. A designated area would be advisable Staff weren’t approachable or particularly friendly

Arrived before check in time and room was available. Lots of choice at breakfast.well kept pools. friendly staff. Allowed to extend room a few hours rather than leave suitcase in a room - this was for a reasonable 30 euro fee.

A terrible smell coming from the filter in our bathroom, reported more than once and cleaners tried to resolve but the smell continued throughout our trip - this is a must to get resolved for other guests. On one occasion we were told by staff that this is how Salou smells but this isn’t true as we’ve been before? We found that response very odd. Low quality alcohol drinks, had to resort to going to the shops for better quality drinks.

Excellent food and noise isolation when terrace does are closed.

Mosqitoes but that's not hotel fault ?. Bring some spray because it's quite lot of these pests.

Food very poor not a lot of choice and cold. Staff do not speak English and found it difficult to communicate

Good room, nice pool, variety of food and friendly animation team and bar maid Nuria.

Some of the staff weren’t as friendly and there was a couple that had their bags stolen from the pool. Thieves had hopped the fence took their bags from sun loungers and hopped back over- the reception staff seemed to know this ‘can happen’ so signs, security or cameras would be helpful for future guests. The token system for drinks/ cups didn’t make much sense.

The location. Mini fridge in room worked well.

It could have been much cleaner. The toilet was leaking. The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable. The food was bland and repetitive at lunch and dinner everyday. No kettle in room, had to pay an extra 14 euros fee and 20 euros deposit which we weren't expecting. Terrible smell in corridor. The walls were like paper, noise all through the night from other rooms and corridor.
