Narvik Hotel Wivel

Very convenient location on main Street, near shopping and restaurants. The bathroom was an adequate size, with a shower that didn't seem cramped. A good breakfast buffet and very friendly staff.

Rooms could use a small fridge.

The staff were extremely friendly and kind, and the breakfast included was delicious and amazing. Overall, it’s great value for money with an excellent price-quality ratio. Great location also. I would definitely stay here again!

No elevator for 2nd floor rooms

Great rooms and view. Very clean and nicely equipped rooms. Also very nicely smelling soap and shampoo. Very comfortable beds and bedding. The breakfast is stellar. It's almost worth coming just for this. Absolutely incredible selection, even with very nice vegan options. You can also choose from a number of delicious cooked dishes like eggs Benedict. Staff is also very nice and kind. Thank you! We will come back!

The staff is amazing friendly helpful, the breakfast was probably one of the best ones we have had in Europe ever, fresh eggs omelets suasages,potatoes, salad ingredients sliced meats and cheese, breads waffles fruits cakes coffee obviously we didnt eat everything! (Even if we wanted to) haha there is something for everyone very nicely done. The staff again is so nice and helpful, rooms where very clean hotel is quiet for great sleep from the train its a short walk past the brand hotels this is the best hotel I have been to in Scandinavia.

The property was misrepresented as a hotel. It is a hostel or a motel. It’s super shabby, cheap, carpet smells stale, tiny room for 2 people, the shower overflowed, loud outside at night if you open the window; if you keep the window closed, it’s hot. It is a terrible facility. It doesn’t qualify as a hotel. Please get that changed on your website in order not to mislead people. And $225 for this tiny “double” room at night. It should have been $50 a night, and called “hostel”.

- completely clean room- very thoughtful room design - a lot of space to hang clothes, place to hang all towels- nice location not far from the station- extra good breakfast - they immediately serve tasty coffee, a lot of options to choose from the buffet (also e.g. salmon), you can order additionally e.g. fresh hot scrambled eggs- allowed us to check-in very late at nightWe were very satisfied overall and had a good comfortable stay.

Hotel Wivel is located in central Narvik just a block from the war museum. If you're arriving by bus from Tromso, the nearest bus stop is less than a kilometer from the hotel. I stayed in a single room that was good-sized and had a TV and good Wi-Fi. The breakfast served every morning is sufficient with plenty of options available. If you want a budget (by Norwegian standards) hotel in the center of Narvik with easy access to the city's restaurants and bars, then Hotel Wivel is a good option.

The staff were all very nice, the location could not have been better, and there was free coffee at the reception. The breakfast was incredibly good too.

The budget room we stayed in had a rather old bathroom, but it wasn't bad though. It was exactly like the pictures.

Arrived at the hotel to find the budget rooms were on the 3rd floor, and there was no lift. I ended up paying more money for a ground floor room because im disabled. I couldn't really afford it but felt like I had no choice. It doesn't state the budget rooms are not accessible by disabled people.

The food was excellent. Lots of homemade, high quality produce with attention to detail.

The staff in this hotel are just lovely, reception and breakfast staff were so helpful,what really topped it for us was even after we checked out and coming back hours later to get our bags from storage the lady on reception offered us free tea and coffee with snacks that is quite special and we were very grateful for a coffee after hiking,so Thank you Hotel Wivel,a lovely gesture.Breakfast here is top notch so much choice,If visiting Narvik stay here.
