Pros +
- The view and breakfast is great
- Nice small roomCity viewChances to see northern lights from room windowFree parking front of property and nearbyFine breakfastPerfect location: quiet and near city centre
- Tasty breakfast and variety, friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this boutique hotel. Next time in Narvik will definitely be staying in this hotel. Thanks for a great experience
Cons -
- The bathroom is quite small for a family room .
- There was no warning that there would be multiple floors and no liftNo hairdryer No fridge Carpets not very clean
- The bathroom "door" was almost totally transparent and had a little dim glass wall too. Between the "door" and the wall there was a 2 cm gap, so it was quite uncomfortable to use the toilet...

Except for the room was small, almost everything was OK. The view to the city was great (room 403!) The included breakfast was more than substantial.

Adequate
The guest house is nice with a good view but the hill to get there is really steep for walking. And then there were more stairs to and from the room.
Cosy with soul. Good breakfast. Ok room.
Too small bed. I am 194 cm tall and it was too small.
Beautiful views and friendly staff. Cosy lounge with coffee, tea and cake or waffles every afternoon.
The photos show tables set for dinner, their own website speaks of selecting fresh, local ingredients and the visit Narvik site lists them as good restaurant however they do not serve dinner. This was a huge disappointment as we chose it for not having to go out every night and local cuisine. There was often no hot water left for hot showers after skiing.
Location, breakfast and room were wonderful!
Bed was comfortable, breakfast buffet was good too
Shower was too small, water went out and made the floor wet. Toilet door don’t completely close so you don’t have privacy, plus it’s transparent and you can see inside
It's not the newest property, but it's clean and tidy, and great value for the money.Breakfast was also good.
Very good location and amazing view from the guesthouse. Big plus for a single room, it has more than enough space and it's cozy. Bed was very comfortable. Small bathroom, but well organized. Water in the shower has good pressure. Breakfast was included in the price, you can find egg omelette, choice of bread, ham and cheese. There is also a choice of vegetables, fruits etc. I recommend this place a lot :) Thank you for the nice stay!
Room was spacious and comfortable, very nice overall. Both the restaurant and the room have amazing views of the city and the mountains around it. Just spectacular!
In order to have great views, quite a bit of an uphill walk is required to get there. The room is nice, but the shower, though good enough, is a tiny cubicle.
Everything is done well here: all is clean, there is a nice common area with lovely views, breakfast is excellent, atmosphere is good. Would return without hesitation.
It seems to be a Norwegian thing in general but there's no parking at the hotel (except for a lucky three people who get there first). Parking on the street is available, but anxiety would have been greatly reduced by instructions about the options in advance and a map at the desk or in the room. (There's a nice map of area restaurants provided in the room, so why not more practical information too?)
The breakfast area provides a wonderful view of Narvik and surroundings. My room was quite comfortable and sufficiently-roomy for a solo traveller. The property's location is quiet.
I don't really have any negatives, other than to note that Breidablikk is "uphill" from downtown Narvik, and travelers on foot should be aware that they will be walking up-slope for parts of their approach to the facility. In winter-time (I was there in March) that means there will be snow and ice to deal with. But, that's the price one pays for an elevated view, I suppose.
cosy + pretty view on city

Very Nice and cosy place just at to steps’of the city center. And very quiet
Amazing view and top cosy restaurant room. You feel at home in a very well located place. We had a plungeing view over Narvik directly from our bed.
Nothing at all
Excellent location with great views of the city and easy access from the town centre and train station. The lounge and dining areas were very cosy. There is a terrace where you could see the Aurora despite some city light pollution. And lastly, lovely omelettes for breakfast.
It was a bit difficult to figure out the opening hours of the reception. They could use having some drinks (bar) area with evening opening hours. The beds were ok, but not to everyone’s liking (a little on the soft side). And we didn’t get our room cleaned for the duration of our (4 night) stay, which we didn’t know in advance.
Fantastic view over the city and Fjord from the bed (Superior room), even at night with shiny city skyline lights (and Aurora if it appears). The room was nice and cozy, the bed and the sheets were very very comfortable. We would love to stay here for more days. The breakfastroom and the living room had this fantastic view, too. The rooms were also modern and nice with a fireplace, cozy furniture and coffee and tea for free. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a smaller buffet but had enough choices with omelette, cakes, breads, cheese, vegetables, cold cuts, joghurt, juices..
There is kind of a swing door to the bathroom and you can't close it, so you have an open gap to the room which is no problem when you are alone, but with others maybe a problem. The whole bathroomfloor is under water when you take a shower but that also happend in other skandinavien accommodation so it is maybe normal here.
