Very quiet, modern rooms and high level of sustainability in their offering
24h front desk and bar that also sell comprehensive selection of small local souvenirs and essential items...mini Listerines! Staff were excellent. Front of house staff were personal, fun, and remember you. Really top professionals. Room was impeccably clean, every day. Room staff also mentioned their typical schedule on the welcome form and were very perceptive of morning routines and breakfast times of individual rooms...like magic they worked without disturbing, and that is also a mark of a true professional operation. Hotel decor and theme gives an immediate feeling of immersion in the environment of the mining history...which is why you stay here. We were a couple staying three nights to visit the Rhur industrial culture sights. This was the perfect base. We were so tempted to just stay on the Zollverien complex the whole time due in large part to this hotel's comfort and it's walking proximity to so many great restaurants, museums, shops, and artist ateliers. We loved it and will tell our friends to visit this corner of German history!
Room staff did fantastic job of cleaning but coffee pods and mini bar top ups would have been appreciated so we don't have to go to front desk. This was a minor flaw in an otherwise excellent performance by room staff.
Beautiful and stylish place
Very overpriced (to the time of the Taylor Swift concert) and you have to pay extra parking fee even as a hotel guest.
Beautful decor, very friendly. Very spacious.

Great location next to the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site
You have to pay for the car park which is outside the hotel Euro10 a night unless you park on the road outside the car park (we parked on the road...)
Good breakfast.Nice decoration.Reception helpful.
I contacted the establishment to cancel one of my two nights of staying 8 WEEKS before the actual dates because of a change in my schedule, they refused to cancel the first night, didn't even refund a part of it. Absolutely horrible costumer practices. Especially as it was during a big concert in the region, most of the hotels were full they would have found another customer easily.
The breakfast was very good. Tons of different options, juices, etc. Hotel was kind of far removed from Gelsenkirchen, but the property was incredible. Super funky design, property is built similar to the coal mine next door and literally walking distance to a UNESCO world site. So, the 15-20 minute tram ride from the main train station was ok and well worth it. Bed was very comfortable and the hotel rooms are super well designed (efficient.) Was pleasantly surprised and the experience was great.
Early check-in. And late check-out. Both were not offered or possible. Took awhile to get checked in and same when I was trying to leave.

New building, clean
It was very strange cleaning service. The staff knocked in the morning and immediately entered, even though check-out time hadn't arrived yet. This is unacceptable. I didn't even have a chance to respond. It was the day of departure, so why burst in if the guest's time hadn't expired yet? This is a violation of privacy.
Wonderful hotel, very stylish and has charisma. It's located in a quiet place, former industrial site, so the atmosphere is pretty unique. Convenient location - big parking lot and also 8 minutes walk from a train station. Stayed there during Euro 2024 and were super happy with it. The staff was super friendly and helpful, food delicious - what else do you need for a lovely stay?

Brilliant facilities - bar, restaurant, lobby, room etc.
Location not perfect geographically.
The food very nice hotel good rooms nice atmosphere but the food especially dinner waa terrible
Very cool place. Lots of thought put into the interior design (room and also public areas). Very friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant/bar. Room was big enough for one person.
Not easily accessible with public transport (a bit of a walk necessary from the tram). Still one of the closest hotels if you want to attend an event on the grounds. The surrounding area is quite dark at night (old industrial site).Room/food/drinks are quite pricey.
The hotel is perfectly situated on the Zollverein grounds and overlooking some of the historic structures, which makes a visit to the site very convenient. The decor and theme of coal mining is throughout the whole hotel, which is nicely appointed and unique. Staff were excellent, really attentive.
Unfortunately the hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get. The rooms are comfortable but are missing amenities like a fridge or coffee/tea kettle, which means you have to buy this from the bar downstairs. Breakfast is an additional cost but at 19 EUR seems quite steep. There are also not basic things that you would expect in a hotel room, such as tissue paper boxes.
