B&B Hotel Essen-City

Location was good. affordable price

The description states that ‘free on-site parking’ is available, but that wasn’t true; I had to pay €10 to park my car

Nice clean hotel if you want to stay for a short while. Close to the center, about a 10 min walk. Breakfast was nice as well.

The receptionist was lovely, the room was comfortable, and the location was convenient.

It was a bit untidy, particularly under the bed.

Free parking, early checkin possible for extra fee. Clean room and comfortable beds!

8am the fire alarm went off, incredibly loud... Not the morning alarm you would like to hear

The location is good for what we wanted.Great to have EV charging points at the hotel.Comfy beds.Reception staff trying very hard to be professional but cleaning staff incompetent.

EV charging points always blocked by non EV cars and cleaning staff. We stayed 8 nights and not once was the room hoovered. 3 people for 8 nights - not acceptable. Towels were never replaced enough of. 3 people 2 towels. Smell of weed being smoked despite a non smoking hotel.

Location, staff

Poor breakfast

Very good location within walking distance to centrer.Easy check in process.

Size of the room.

We came for the Essen Spiel Messe. In the evening we were allowed to play our games in the breakfast area. This was really nice

Nothing. It was really great, clean and nice!

The rooms excellent value and for the price exceptional, breakfast was adequate.

Breakfast a little expensive, costing for the 3 of us the same price as the room

Very clean and quiet room as always.Tasty, fresh breakfast.

We arrived late at night but the property was easy to find an navigating the self-service check-in was fine. There were coffee machines and vending machines available for snacks.

Not a massive negative, but it would have been nice to have access to a kettle in the room, but that’s probably a British thing :) And we could access coffee in the reception.

Clean and comfortable room. Free parking and check-out at 12

Great that the room had air conditioning as it was the hottest week in Germany this year.

Shower/Warm water wasn't working on the last day.

Beds were really comfy. Room was lovely, clean and modern. Staff were friendly and great there was parking.

Just slightly annoying we were in a room above the front entrance where people congregated to smoke. Kept the windows open all night for fresh air but kept getting noise and smoke coming into our room throughout the night.

We stayed here as the hotel was good value for money and a great location for travelling to the England games. Staff were friendly and polite throughout, facilities were clean

Free parking and three separate beds in a room.

It would be better if there is another space for toilet in the room so that one person could go to the toilet while another one is showering.

Good location. It is very close to Limbecker Platz. Burger King is next door and free parking. The room was very clean and a nice bathroom. The staff was also very friendly and check out is at 1200.

The location is ideal for bussiness travel in Essen. Especially if you need to be at the coloseum theater.

My room (bathroom) wasn't cleaned properly when I entered the room

Hairdryer, Burger King beside, friendly receptionist, 10 mins walk to nearest U-Bahn station Berliner Platz

A little bit far to walk from the main station

Very good location

Very rude girl in the reception... breakfast included but she tried to force me to pay again due to their documents mess even when I provided prove on my email.
