we could park the car allready early, and go with the train to the fair, close to the station and good restaurants
we had a room at the front, where the road is very noisy
Good
We had many rooms. And some complained that the bed is like for teenagers. And very noisy. Some complained about smell in the rooms. Ans the hotel is no well isolated. You can hear from room to room and very noisy in the morning when someone is comping or leaving

- I booked this hotel for my stay in Essen during Spiel 2024, because the hotel I visited the year before had a ridiculous price hike. This hotel offered value for money so I actually had money left to spend at the board games convention. The location was only slightly further than what I was used to.- On checking in, I was greeted by competent and helpful staff, who even helped me solve a problem I was having (that was not in any way their fault).- The room was clean and it had a comfortable bed and a pleasant temperature. (I also liked the New York/Big Apple style throughout the room.
- The room was a smaller than I expected, but it still served its purpose. Where the room size was a problem was in the bathroom. The shower was hard to get in and out of due to a height difference and the shower curtain dragged on the floor of the shower floor. - I also experienced noise in the evening from the other people who stayed on my floor, with doors getting cloed noisily and people talking loudly.- I only had breakfast on the day that I left and while it was tasty and adequate, I would've preferred a slightly bigger selection of things to eat.
Most important thing in a hotel for me is, that it is clean and you have a calm environment to be able to sleep well. Both does apply. The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. I even had water and a selection of tea in my room available.
My room looked a little different and less "arty" than in the pictures.
Location and staff were good
Lift was broken and water in shower was awful
Good city centre location with parking near Hauptbahnhof and shops. Very clean and tidy with helpful staff.
Not much in way of bathroom toiletries, shampoo etc.

Staff was okay.
The hotel gave us a room that looked like a prison from early days, with metal beds. What's more disappointing is that although I'm 6 months pregnant and I had a father-in-law with me who's 65, the elevator did not work for 3 days. We had to bring our travel bags from third floor with our hands.
Nice art on the walls of the room – was there for the football and I had a pitch collage in my room. Breakfast was excellent, far better than an Ibis I stayed in the night before. A short, flat walk from the station. 2pm check-in time was handy and they let me have my room even earlier

Clean and well organised with large rooms and lots of personality. Central location closer to the train station
Good location for station and clean
Elevator not working and no staff available after 10pm
Staff were very nice. Facilities worked well for the most part. Bed was very comfortable. Close enough to train station.
Lift would only work about half of the time. Breakfast was nice, but a little bit limited for the price.
Location, staff and clean room
The location. The people at the hotel, at the reception, they were super nice. Welcome drink. Water at the hotel.
They will need to change the mattress soon, but it was confy
Hosts very friendly Breakfast was good with gluten free options
Perhaps a toaster would be good.
