Good location, clean and comfortable rooms

Bed was firmer than I prefer

location is great & receptionists were friendly.

The breakfast was quite poor and the cleaning lady already came knocking on our door 1 hour before check out time to clean the room, she even waited outside the door until we were gone so we felt rushed to get out.

Room service came in three times during the morning, would be great if they have a better system in place.

The hotel is conveniently located. It was nice to have a bar with food options and games.

The room had a strong damp smell coming from the bathroom. Unfortunately, we couldn't open the windows to air it out due to the noise outside.The common WC on the ground floor also had a strong bad smell.

Nice part of the city, everything is really close. Also loved the alternative vibe of the hotel, will be returning next year if the prices stay affordable.

Would be nice to have coffee/tea facilities and drinking water in the room. The chromecast didn’t work for me and the TV screen welcomed a completely different person. Also ground floor restrooms have an unpleasant rotting smell which needs to be looked into.

The toilet is way too small for a person. The fitness studio has only one broken mat. A bit pricing for this small room

My room temperature was 16°C on arrival and the heating broken. Staff wasn't able to help. No refund.WiFi was not working for all of my 3 devices, apparently a known problem. Staff wasn't able to help.

I liked the location and the staff. The general areas were also great for our purposes. The room was clean and somewhat comfortable though a bit small. Staying one night was great, had we needed to stay longer, maybe not so great.

The room was a bit cramped and was missing basic amenities like a mini-fridge or safe box. The bathroom door was also not very soundproof, so having to go to the toilet in the middle of the night or waking up earlier inevitably woke up the other person. We had lunch in the restaurant and was also not great or cheap. Avoid eating there if you can.

The location in a centre of the city is the most valuable point.

1. In a room was permanent and strong drain pipes SMELL, especially at night time.2. The soundproofing was poor and the sounds of people using the restrooms on the upper floors at night interfered with normal sleep.3. Despite the large number of rooms in the hotel, there are only two small elevators, making it difficult to navigate during the morning rush hour. Furthermore, during rush hour, the elevators were occupied by staff with carts, preventing guests from using them.

The room was comfy and had everything I needed. It‘s a bit small but it‘s Location is amazing!Can recommend you to stay there.

Moxy hotels are always a good choice. This one in Essen is just around the corner of everything you need, shops, restaurants, station and parking. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing. We had a lovely weekend.

Perfect location. Price to value ratio is very good. Breakfast was amazing. Looks super new. Staffs are amazing and very helping.

Unpleasant

I had an unpleasant stay at this hotel. The air conditioning in the room was not working, and the ventilation was terrible, which made it very uncomfortable. The room itself was extremely small, with poor lighting and no proper space to put anything. On top of that, the breakfast was very basic and far below expectations. Overall, not a good experience.

Nice and helpful staff at the reception, great location- short walking distance to all shops, quiet accommodation although quite central, reasonable room size for our family of 4, clean, comfortable beds , nice powerful shower, lots of electric plugs which was very helpful.Breakfast had good options, all ok for our taste, nice pancakes and coffee!Parking available on the street with no charge or enclosed private parking for €15/ night.
