Hotel Rhein-Ruhr by Mayburgh Bottrop Hauptbahnhof

The location was right beside the railway station in the centre of town. The hotel was absolutely spotless.The breakfast was really good.

The reception was un-staffed, and the confirmation emails didn't contain the code for the front door to get to the check in console. Luckily another guest let me in from the inside.The room I booked was supposed to have a double bed, instead it had 2 singles on opposite sides of the room.There is nowhere to really park especially during weekdays.

Breakfast was absolutely amazing, loved their eggs!! They had everything you could possibly have wanted, cold cuts, eggs, jams&honey and jogurts, along with fresh bread! Fresh sheets & towels, clean room.

never again this hotel

this hotel sends a link to reconfirm the booking but the link does not work - i called the hotel and one lady was not cooperative - she did not say that reception is closed after 5 PM - i arrive 7 PM and did not know how to enter. there is a phonenr which i called and this lady said i had to type a code on a screen with buttons but there are two screens - lot of traffic 10 meters from the entrance makes impossible to hear the lady - there are two screens with buttons - i asked the lady 5 times which screen and buttons she did not understand although my german is good , finally the lady says there is some boxes and i have to open a box for the key - that was after 10 minutes standing for a closed door - why she not say this before i dont know - i entered the hotel and came to the room bed is 2 x 70 much to narrow for two persons - i changed for the Ramada hotel nearby and lost my money for the Rhein hotel - the farmacy next to Rhein hotel said there are many guests having the same issue, also the Ramada hotel said the same. If the owner of Rhein runs a hotel he should have a reception at least untill 8 PM as mosts guests arrive between 3 and 8 pm - i donot recommend this hotel and take Ramada, 1.5 km away - Ramada wss ame price and excellent breakfast too

Good location with decent amenities

That I had to pay upon checking in, despite already having paid via booking.com. Terribly inconvenient being abroad nor the fact that breakfast was indeed included, wasn’t communicated to me

please indicate on the website that it's a self service hotel after 18:00. I was surprised to come at 18:30 to see that there was no stuff. Next morning there was nobody either,beside the staff in the kitchen. nobody there to ask for anything. No shower gel in the bathroom. very weird facilities,especially when you use elevator, which is not getting you back to reception, the door was closed.

Perfect location, near public transport and a car parking garage (Free). Great to have 2 separate blankets on a double bed.

The beds were a little too small for tall people.

The breakfast was quite nice. Had a lot of option to choose from. There is free parking nearby. The checkin was very easy and the staff were very helpful.

i was there for one night. there is a small shopping center with a good bistro, bakery and restaurant. The staff was nice and the breakfast excellent.

parking is a litlle far away, my room was noisy , my douche cabin door broken.

Nice room, clean. Breakfast perfect quality and large selection. Reception staff very frendly and competent!Thanks All of you!

We started off in front of a closed door, no reception no key/code. Had to call for somebody to come to open the door (we were 3 couples with the exact same issue so no coincidence). Names had to be given by writing down and no id was requested - very odd. Rest of stay was okay but room was a bit noisy and the child bed as requested was not there as well.
