Bad

The Bathroom had lot of mold. Smelled really bad. Floor was dirty, the bathroom sink was broken,unknown Hair on the Bed.No Hair Dryer, the electric wire of one of the Lamps was broken (the one between two wooden beds)

Exceptional staff and communication. Late check-in with no stress or fear. Quiet surroundings. Aldi shop across carpark.

Didn't notice negatives.

The room was clean

Arrived at 8pm everything says reception is manned and open until 10pm. I had emailed ahead to say we would arrive at 8pm didn't hear anything. Arrived at property no one on reception or in the building Another guest told us that they had gone home but we should have received a code to get a key. No code from hotel or booking.com. tried the number on the door but as we were in Germany phone wouldn't connect. Thankfully a helpful guest who spoke English and German called the number and tried to resolve for us. She was told to wait and someone would call her back with our details. After half an hour of waiting we finally had a key code to retrieve the keys. The room was clean but basic. No toiletries or hair dryer as described. You have to park in the Aldi car park as the own car park of the hotel is overgrown. No breakfast unless groups of 15 booked. Restaurant closed when we arrived.

Reduced menus when we were there, however what we got was amazing and good value

The room has an excellent size, with plenty of room for whole our motorcycle gear, panniers, cloths. We had two rooms with bathroom, desk with chair, bench, hanger, side tables. The view from entrance balcony was over the restaurant patio with loads of tall green plants, and space to seat. Onsite there is small gym and loads of seats to chillout. Location is pretty handy when on the way, as its just few km/miles from the motorway. Very helpfull staff member showed us very sheltered and hidden space behind the building where we could safely park our motorbikes.

The place was quite good, and the room was very large. More appropriate for students or young adults traveling with friends.

Rooms was quiet. We moved out early in the morning 6.00a, so breakfast was absent in hotel. But receptionist in the evening gave me amazing advice about Bakery. We had a breakfast there. it opens at 5.00am

Clean facilities, friendly staff with well spoken English

Due to current situation with staffing breakfast was unavailable

It is a quiet, but funky hotel easily accessible from motorway, great for an overnight stay in a long travel

The state of repair was problematic - we had a door handle falling off the bathroom doors, lock to the main doors was clearly replaced, and not by a professional, it was clear that although the property was clean, the decor was very dated

the whole experience was good. I really liked the little bar downstairs, we had good cocktails. I just had a little issue finding how to turn the shower water on, and the television channels were a little disappointing.

i hoped we could have had a good breakfast in the bar, but they didn't propose breakfast on the day we were there. (bad luck, nothing bad)not a lot of television channels anymore, because it was all analog. having a little Chromecast would do wonders. but not mandatory, it was raining and we were a little bored :P bottrop itself is not a fascinating town to walk around, but the people are nice.

Friendly owners. The room exceeded our expectations for the price we paid (a 6-bed dorm for 150 euros), and a good shower. In the restaurant, we had some nice cocktails, pizzas and a good breakfast the morning after.

The blankets were a bit too thin for the cold weather outside.
