Pros +
- Spacious underground garage. One of the very few in the whole city with such one. Very polite housekeeping staff, the cleaner lady was exemplary, as well as the waitress during breakfast.

Cons -
- Extremely outdated furniture and worn out wooden pieces. The room’s shower drain was dripping all night after i took a shower and couldn’t sleep at all. Also, there is zero soundproofing in the hotel, and i could hear the staff going about, the door across creaking opening and closing,as well as the lady that was staying across talking on her phone, from inside her room. I made a complaint and they changed my room to an upgraded one, which had none of the problems above, and the stay was pleasant for the remainder of the days there. Mind you, there was still no soundproofing, they just gave me the room farthest in the hallway, in the front ward, and hence the noise issue was helped. Their breakfast buffet is also quite small,it has nice things, but the variety is lacking. All in all, i wouldn’t rate this as a 5 star experience and was a bit disappointed. Also there is not internal elevator to the garages, and you have to exit the hotel in order to access the lift to there, which was uncomfortable. The cook that makes the omelettes would be better if she could respond politely to the customer instead of just nodding and ignoring when she is being thanked.
- not enough light at rooms.location is far from all sights.for such a far hotel, i think no need to charge money for parking .

The room was very hot
Everything was perfect! Comfortable bed, big clean room. A big plus: it has a shuttle bus to Aristotle Square.
Very attentive and helpful staffSpa area was a nice bonusGreat breakfastShuttle bus to the city center was greatly appreciated
The rooftop pool and bar was something that we were looking fwd to and made me decide to chose this hotel. However this floor was closed probably because it was off season.WiFi did not work continouslyThe location is not ideal e.g. quite some distance to the city center. It was ok for us but for other travelers maybe a deciding factor
Staff were friendly, good gym, rooms were, enough.
All was good, nothing negative to mention. Easy hotel. parking was very easy and free.
The staff was wonderful and the dinner at the full moon party was incredible. This is my second time staying at the Met and it continues to impress and satisfy!
super space and service, great pools
the area of the port is a bit ruined, cannot run around
It's a true 5 star hotel. It has everything and the rooftop pool is just amazing!Personally I liked the underground parking filled with F1 statistics on the walls, but that's just me. We went in with our dog (which you have to pay for) and when we went to our room, a hotel employee was already there with a little dog bed, recipients for food and water and a little treat. To be honest, you deserve a 6 star rating for this ?All in all, excellent value for the money that we paid.
It would be nice if you put 2 chairs and a small table on the balcony.

So clean, amazing breakfast, nice rooftop with pool
Holed up in room due to broken ankle. First class service and delicious breakfast
Used to be Great Hotel but in decline in recent years
They organize weddings on weekends so it gets very loud. We arrived at 15:30 and although check in start at 15:00 the room was not ready so we had go sit and wait for an hour
Great hotel location to Port and delicousPrepaid breakfast.
Rooftop restaurant flooded with mosquitoes at night which ruined our experience. I would suggest that they lite citronella candles for guests since they seemed to know what was flying around. When we asked they immediately said "mosquitos".It would have been nice to be advised prior to being seated. Within 5 minutes, we were all bit and left with 25-30 insect bites on our first day of vacation.
There are no words to describe how interesting and impressive the hotel is. I loved the atmosphere, the ambiance and the design.Starting with the breakfast: perfect, especially the outdoor area, a feeling of privacy, comfort and relaxation, ideal for a relaxing morning. The staff was always attentive, helpful and smiling. My room did not disappoint, it perfectly met my expectations.
Sometimes the noise outside was a bit to much but totally understandble.Regarding the location, it is a pitty that it is a little far from the city center, but the hotel makes up for it with the pool on the top floor of the hotel, perfect for spending the morning or late afternoon.
A huge let down.
I came expecting a five star experience. Unfortunately this falls way below the mark. Where to begin. The rooms feel very tired and outdated. The lighting is very low and dim, even in the bathroom. The finish and details are nowhere near five star. Old TV, no coffee machine in the room (it’s 2025 and a small coffee machine costs €50), ridiculous water faucets from the 1980’s (one for hot water, one for cold) with a modern design, NO proper shower!!!!!, tiny rooms, antique key system that takes you back to the 90’s, to name a few. I have stayed in rented apartments that were way above and beyond what this so called five star hotel offers in terms of comfort and convenience at half the price or less. I can compare this to an Ibis hotel or a Holiday Inn. The rooftop pool and bar close at 6… in the summer. 5 umbrellas for a whole hotel. In 37 degree heat. The surroundings are docks, warehouses and a very noisy road. Forget about walking to the center. It is a challenge and doesn’t feel safe at night. I will definitely NOT be returning, and I would definitely NOT have written this review if the hotel was actually 5 stars. The reason I wrote this is that the expectation and price do NOT justify the experience and it’s frankly a misleading advertisement.
Staff, facilities, location, breakfast
Pool is closing too early, shuttle ends too early
Modern design, very nice rooftop bar and pool! The clean-cut look and the great level of provided services make Met a safe choice for Thessaloniki
Fine-tuning room cooling could be more user-friendly
The Met is definitely a nice hotel, one that I will not hesitate to book again. The rooms are good, there is balcony, the bathroom is spacious and the breakfast is pretty good. It is a bit far from the city center but you have a shuttle every hour and taxi is not expensive. Rooftop pool is phenomenal even though a bit expensive, same as the bar in the lobby.
Their staff, especially male staff, most of them, should work a bit more on their hospitality. Perhaps for global standards they were OK but I travel to Greece often and I expected it would be same as everywhere else - much better. Since the hotel is not near the center, I think they should have the option of free parking or charge less.
