Hotel SSK Grand - Kanchipuram

Very close to Kanchi Kamakshi temple.

Unable to pay online.

Purpose was viditing temples. Location is excellrnt. Accommodation neat & clean. Nice foods. Staff are friendly.

Electric kettle & water ready, but no coffee, tea or sugar avsilsble. There is no fridge. In the room.

Location of Hotel is great. The restaurant in ground floor is great. Staff is attentive.

Compact hotel. Room given was delayed as Telephone repair work was going on. Complementary breakfast arranged was not tasty. Repair-hammer work started in the above floor at 4:30 AM disturbing our sleep. There is road noise from buses and honking. The single Lift is too slow.

bathrooms are not convenient with toilet coming before shower. we noticed some cockroaches inside bathroom.

We had a late check in and were given 'upgraded' rooms and were informed that it will be changed tomorrow morning. The following day after breakfast when we left the hotel, we cleared one room as per the hotel staff and placed our baggages in another room ( we booked 3 in total). Later that evening when we came back to hotel, our room were not ready/available and we had to cramp up in two rooms ( six of us) having paid for 3 rooms. It took them another 30 minutes to get rooms which we booked months ahead and we were given three different rooms. Also, the management had problem finding the receipt of the deposit paid and I had to show the proof of payment again and for them to confirm with their management despite having settled this weeks before my stay. So much hassal to stay at this place. Apart from all these chaos, rooms were clean and breakfast was great!

Breakfast was great, good collection of South Indian Breakfast items. We particularly liked the Appam.

We were given little trouble accomodating kids. Once we are through that issue, everything was fine

Adding coffee tea sugar bags inside the room would make us to sit at room and enjoy

not much options available to stay in the city.. so better than others

mosquitoes and cockroaches are in the room. hotel location is tight. only one elevator available. breakfast timing is too late and short which we missed. with all above inconveniences hotel is bit overpriced

Spot on services. Every required thing was in perfect working condition

Smoking in corridors, leaky ACs dropping water near all stairs

Only good thing is breakfast being served carefully and the person incharge of breakfast was very passionate about his job.

Lots of construction noise, beds not comfy, no housekeeping, we need to beg for wifi password every time we go out and come in.only positive is proximity to all shopping and temples.

While the hotel standard rate card mentions Rs2200 +taxes for the kind of room alocated to us, the same was charged Rs5100 + raxes from me. The booking site mention the hotel as three star , the facilities matching to the same were not available..

The bathroom floor was flooded, the drain was not proper.The door handle and the lock was very close to each other, our fingers got hurt while opening the door .The 3 star rating shown in booking.com is not correct and hence misleading.The sofa was dirty and had lot of stains

No resturant for such a price was not informed earlier either by booking .com nor hotel management after checking had to go out to get everything the hotel dosent Even provide bowls for outside food had to literally push the boys for bowls not worth the money
